Saffron at Atlantis (Mediterranean journey) is truly a fantastic dining experience and easily one of the best buffet restaurants I’ve visited in Dubai. From the moment you arrive, things are smooth and stress-free thanks to the free valet parking, which is a big plus in a busy location like Atlantis. I’d strongly recommend following Google Maps carefully, as Atlantis has multiple entrances and it can get a bit confusing if you’re visiting for the first time.
The food selection is massive and very well curated, with a strong focus on Chinese, Indian, seafood, and an outstanding dessert spread. My meal started with a Chinese chicken soup freshly prepared right in front of me, which set the tone for the evening. Starters were impressive — raw fried fish, fries, and tandoori chicken were all excellent. The brisket was top-notch, perfectly cooked and full of flavor. A pleasant surprise was the dhokla with mint chutney, incredibly juicy and unlike any I’ve had before. The salmon dipped in citrus is a must-try.
The dim sum counter stood out — both chicken and vegetable dim sums were fresh and delicious straight from the pot. The seafood section offered plenty of choices including sushi, oysters, prawns, and more. While the duck and chicken BBQ felt slightly cold and less fresh compared to other items, it didn’t take away much from the overall experience. Main courses like butter chicken, bread, and pizza were decent but fairly ordinary.
The highlight without doubt is the dessert section — an amazing variety of cakes, mousses, tarts, candies, and toppings, along with four types of freshly made syrups. Unlimited cola with lemon was included, which was refreshing. Liquors and caviar are also available, but these come at an additional cost or are included only in higher-tier packages.
Overall, Saffron is perfect for special occasions and ideal for groups, as it satisfies food lovers across multiple cuisines. Highly recommended!
