I tried their butter chicken and butter nan and its really delicious. Nan comes with pure butter smell and the service was really great. While having dinner they asked twice how we’re going with the food which was nice. Amount of the food was good too, i have tried so many Indian restaurants in Darwin and at some point found out the amount of food and price was not exactly matched my expectations. Really nice and loved their lunch options as well with a very reasonable amount and price.

I had an unforgettable dining experience at Saffron Restaurant for Mother's Day. The food was exceptional, and the service was top-notch. What truly made the evening special was the warm hospitality and attention to detail from the staff. The snake beans and eggplant curry was a highlight, and the ambiance was perfect for celebrating Mother's Day. I'm so grateful for the wonderful memories created here. Highly recommend!

I order one curry with butter chicken using Uber and the first thing I got pissed off was they didn’t even gave any cutleries or napkins. Besides, the rice was not cooked well and it was sticky. Talking about the butter chicken, I had never ate such worse one from any Indian restaurants in Darwin ever. I doubt if it was even fresh as the chicken pieces tasted stale. You guys used to be amazing, but this order totally disappointed me. Try to take care of these basic things which could have been easily avoided.

Delicious food and great service! Saffron Restaurant in Parap offers authentic Indian dishes full of flavor. The staff is friendly, and the atmosphere is warm and welcoming. Highly recommend for a tasty, satisfying meal!

I ordered naan as takeaway. The naan was so soggy and the way that was packaged was the worst. It makes the naan so soggy and I could see water evarporated on the box. If there was a way I could have a refund I would definitely want one. It was so hard to chew as well because of the packaging. The chef should know that if you closed the lid it will become soggy and hard to chew and that it should be either packed in aluminium foil or aluminium pocket. I would never order from here again.

Visited in the new year, service was incredibly poor with food taking well over an hour due to kitchen prioritizing deliveries. Bathroom was filled with overflowing buckets and pools of water due to leaks. Table of 10 only a few people ordered entrees, staff served these on a single plate when asked if they could be split they just scrapped some of the dishes off and and put a dirty plate back in front of us. Drinks had to be returned as they were served without alcohol as well when ordered. Staff softly spoken and cannot be heard were also unable to advise of anything to do with specials.

Great service and broad menu. We opted for the tasting menu which was incredibly generous (maybe a bit too much). The drinks were fun and overall there was something for everyone.

Their food is very good. But a bit sad that dining there isnt as feasible and is much better for takeway.

Fantastic food. Could have been a little more spicy for me. But i'm sure if I asked they would have brought me some more chillies.

We drove past this place and decided to get take away because we were tired and hungry. What we got was some of the best Indian food I have had in a very long time. We had the beef vindaloo, lamb rogan josh, barramundi curry and butter chicken. All I can say is Wow Wow wow. I could eat here every day it was totally delicious every dish was amazing cooked to perfection with the correct amount of spices, it's hot but that's how Indian food should be.

Best indian in Australia. I love this pace- they have awesome take away containers - dosent hurt the environment anywhere near as much. Loads of vegetarian options or devine fish! The lunch specials are a cheap way to get a taste. Phone orders worked for me and when I picked up was ready on time piping hot and so friendly!

Really nice surprise. Saffron is definitively the Indian restaurant to try in Darwin. The Barramundi, with saffron rice, is just yummy. Just disappointed with the Raita.

Quite pricy and heavy on the garlic, but unique and worth a try. Great food, not always what one expects from an Indian place. Friendly staff. Great atmosphere. Amusing tweets. Cater to vegetarians and vegans.

Love it. Have eaten there regularly since they opened. Food and service always top notch and the takeaways are good too.

Excellent place for a meal. Great staff, menu and wine selections. Many of their meals (most) are gluten free so that is terrific. The butter chicken is the best and just love the lamb cutlets. Definitely recommended for visitors to the Top End or a regular place for casual dinning by locals.

I have only had one meal here, but it was fantastic and I left fully-satisfied. Very tasty Indian food and a wealth of options. I suggest the sampler for a group.
