Sag Harbor Inn

Our first time staying here. Customer service is very good. Room was nice and very clean. Breakfast was ample if you are good with continental breakfast. All areas were clean and everyone was courteous and accommodating. Hope we can return in the future.

This hotel is clean, well located, and you get a great breakfast included in the price of your room. There is a nice pool and sitting area… I really enjoyed my stay here. The staff keeps the place immaculate and the FRONT DESK team is just lovely.

I love the Sag Harbor Inn. Spacious bright rooms with big window and glass door to porch. One side of the hotel faces the pool and the other side faces the harbor. Very relaxed atmosphere, down to earth, with warm polite staff. Everything is very well maintained.

This place was so clean. Would recommend it to anyone. We will be back. Great water views. Bountiful parking. Continental breakfast with coffee, bagels, yogurt, cereal & fruit. Place is so relaxing and quiet. Easy walk to town. Staff was excellent.

The sag harbor inn is absolutely lovely. The room was very nice. I slept so well and for a long time. For me this is a rarity; I have not had a good night’s sleep for over a year. It was so peaceful and serene. The inn is very welcoming and peaceful. I woke up to a very nice continental breakfast. There is 24 hour front desk service. The front desk supervisor, Ean is very nice and knowledgeable and the general manager, John is the same. I am so pleased with the inn, i booked again for June 2025. It’s absolutely lovely. Book a room you will not be dissatisfied.

We recently stayed at the Sag Harbor Inn and had a great experience. The room was spotless. We enjoyed the continental breakfast with exceptional coffee.The staff is friendly and helpful with recommendations. The prime location allows easy walking to town with great shopping and dining. Ample free parking is another significant plus.

My husband and I just had our second stay here and will be returning again! Helpful and kind staff-thank you Kathy and John. Beautiful harbor views, quick walk into town, the place is spotless. The continental breakfast is fresh, wonderful and plentiful. We love this place!

This is the first time we've stayed at the Sag Harbor Inn post-renovation and were impressed by the upgrades and new decor. We stayed in a second floor Harbor View King Room which was immaculate, large and quiet. The room had twin sinks, a desk, sofa and flat screen TV. Generous complementary breakfast was self serve in the spacious dining area including juice, coffee, bagels/cream cheese, cereal, pastries, sausage, fresh fruit and cereal. Front desk staff were very friendly (hi Kathleen!). The Inn doesn't serve lunch or dinner but the rooms do have small fridges for beverages or whatnot. There weren't any towels when we went to the pool so we had to go in and request them at the front desk.. Also we hope they install mini-safes in the rooms. It would have been nice to use the pool without bringing our wallets along. Still a very nice stay.

My go to place when I'm in the area. Very friendly staff, nice and clean room... Always sleep well there. Highly recommended.

We stayed overnight on a Saturday in November. The staff and accommodations were very nice. The hotel feels clean and fresh. The location is great. It's right outside the village and you can easily walk to all village shops and restaurants. They serve a continental breakfast from 7 AM to 10 AM with the standard packaged yogurts, coffee, tea, pastries, etc. which was perfect for the morning. We booked two adjoining rooms so our children were in one room and we were the other. Only issues we had was that our room was a queen size bed and we would have preferred a king size bed. Our only other complaint was that art bathroom door would not fully shut and lock. If you applied a bit of pressure the door would pop right back open.

We booked a room for the weekend and really enjoyed our stay at Sag Harbor Inn. Ian at the front desk was particularly kind and helpful. The rooms are clean and covid-friendly. The Inn was close to Main Street, but far enough to be quiet and quaint. We would definitely stay again.

Being from Southern California, I'm not a regular visitor to the area; over the last 10 years, I've only been here a handful of times. However, in the future, I will surely choose the Sag Harbor Inn as my destination of choice. It's a perfect lodging option for this quaint little town. It, by no means, is fancy and for those with a snooty attitude, this may not be the place for you. I however, loved it. It's perfectly located to town and possesses spectacular views. The rooms are comfortable, spacious and incredibly clean with nice little amenities. While the decor may be a bit dated (see previous reviewers comment about the floral bedspread) it really doesn't detract from anything. They even have regular keys for the door; none of those card types here! The continental breakfast was ample in quantity and quality and was a welcome site the next morning. Each room is equipped with a nice little sitting area where you are able to take in the gorgeous views. The price point was extremely low considering the area but a welcomed relief considering my dining options preceding my stay. I would highly recommend this as a lodging option and will surely return on my next visit to town.

We happened upon this quaint and comfortable hotel when attending a wedding event in Bridgehampton. The staff was friendly, helpful and accommodating. The rooms were clean, spacious and very comfortable. We paid a little more for a harbor view and it was definitely worth it. The breakfast was light and good. We will absolutely return. Highly recommend staying here when visiting the Sag Harbor area.

This place is not the Four Seasons, but for the budget traveler this fits the bill. We stayed here for a night and there were only a few other rooms filled since it is winter. They upgraded our room to a harbor view for free since they had so much extra room. There is free wi-fi but it didn't work for most of our stay. The continental breakfast is just cereal and coffee, so don't count on it if you want a bigger breakfast. I read other reviews of this place that said they have bagels and muffins, so maybe they have a bigger spread in the summer. Despite any complaints I may have, it certainly was good for a night and it only cost $99. We were right on the harbor with a pretty view. It's an old building and it has character. I would stay here again if in the area. The staff was friendly.

There's nothing wrong with this hotel it is just old! The front desk was very nice and since it was a mini moon for us they even dropped off wine later on. Nothing is computerized and they even give actual keys. The rooms are clean but so old. Horrible comforters with matching curtains that were so worn out. Our room also had a fruit fly issue. Bathroom was clean but old. We had a nice porch over looking the water but paid for it. It's a 15 min walk to town but it's a nice walk. We chose this location because it was the cheapest and the only hotel in town without a 3 day minimum. I would go back but I wish they would update themselves to 2015.

What a great staff and location! the hotel was very clean, comfortable beds and staff that was sooooooooo super accommodating! Totally went out of their way to assist all of us! would definitely stay their again!

Fantastic little hotel off the main drag. The neighborhood is absolutely dead silent. Nothing at night but the sounds of crickets. I actually like the decor. If you want to complain about it being antiquated, you probably don't understand the Hamptons. Staff was friendly. We didn't encounter anyone mean or surly. Fantastic, reasonable hotel I highly recommend. Their (absolutely free and password-free) Wifi tested at 30Mbps for me and was perfectly stable throughout my stay.

The view and the neighborhood are to die for. Great views and peace and quiet. Very quant city. The front staff was very helpful and friendly in all our requests. The Inn itself is dated, even though we were told that it had been renovated. Cheap, plastic, dated flowers are near every room. The doors are very inexpensive and you could just push on it to open. I did not feel safe with the door closed. There was none or little sound proofing and you could hear people walking on above you and next door. It gave a very 1980s feel and in this area it should be a lot more. It is a shame that the quality of the place was soo low for what you are paying for. If they gave this place an update to the 2000's, it would be a great place to stay.

Recently stayed here for a work trip - Sag Harbor Inn is not fancy but has all the amenities I look for in a great place to stay - clean, spacious rooms/friendly, accommodating staff/ coffee avail at all times!/ free wifi ... And even a pool to decompress by after a long day! Easy, convenient parking, close to downtown Sag Harbor, views of the harbor and yachts as far as you can see! What a great place to stay. 5 stars for sure!

Booked this hotel off season for a weekend away in January. If you are looking for a clean, comfortable stay, this is the location for you. I don't understand their marketing, you will still pay top dollar even though there are literally 5 guests staying at the hotel on a Friday night. The staff was very friendly. I couldn't find anything wrong with the room. Breakfast was free but basic. There are some basic business principles that would benefit them and the guests. Overall I would definitely stay here again!

After years of decline we were so excited to stay at the recently updated / overhauled Sag Harbor Inn. No longer is the Sag Harbor Inn just a place to spend an affordable night, now it is a premium hotel in the heart of Sag Harbor. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and all of the NEW upgrades. We were looking for something different for this New Years, an overnight stay to bring in 2018. We chose the Sag Harbor Inn and could not have made a better choice. John and Ian were most accommodating and represent this lovely hotel to the highest level in every way. We were greeted in our room with a lovely complimentary bottle of wine and delicious chocolates... a very nice thoughtful touch. The rooms were clean, comfortable and roomy. The New Years Eve package with Page restaurant was a perfect match. Both establishments where customer service is their number 1 priority! The following morning the Inn offers a complimentary continental breakfast that was a great way to start the new year off.

Stayed here the weekend of April 29. Hotel was clean, staff was very friendly and helpful with directions and recommendations for restaurants. Rooms were comfortable- had a nice little balcony overlooking the water. Would definitely stay here again!

After two visits to this Inn, I will certainly not stay there ever again. The price is ridiculous for what is offered. To pay in excess of $250 a night on a long weekend for this older hotel is just not worth it. The woman at the front was surly to the point of being rude, making our arrival seem like a hassle from which she had to take a break from smoking her cigarette on the front door. An attempt to be polite was quickly rebuffed, and suddenly we felt we were the bain of her existence just to check in. The attitude from said staff did not slacken the entire weekend, and in fact we chose to enter from another door to avoid her surly attitude. I corroborated this with friend who lives locally, who said that once when my friend had tried to book and pay for a room for her visiting mother, the same woman refused to allow her to pay for the room (even though she had booked it) because it was her mother who was staying there. What had meant to be a nice gesture quickly devolved into an awkward situation at check in when the woman refused to take any other form of payment. The kind gesture soon became an awkward transaction between mother and daughter, as my friend had to send her mother a check to cover the cost when the woman refused to accept any other form of payment. Being made to feel as though your arrival is an inconvenience is bad enough, but to pay $750 over three nights of it is absurd. This place only thinks they have the right to charge that because there are few hotels in the area, but do yourselves a favor and spend the money elsewhere, because this place tainted our entire trip to the Hamptons.

Very nice room to pass out in. Located close enough to Sag Harbor to walk from, I enjoyed my stay. Fairly pricey, but inexpensive for the area.

Stayed on a Thursday night. Wasn't exactly what I had expected for a "Hamptons" hotel. Wasn't dirty but wasn't amazing either. Has a pool but nothing exciting to look at or go in. I have a 1 year old so I did need to spend time in the room, I guess if I just needed a place to sleep I would stay here again. But if I came back with the baby I wouldn't. Furniture was very old and looks like it has been used a lot! I putty own sheets on the bed and over the couch :)

Place was just renovated and is really super clean! Can't expect the world from an inn in Sag Harbor, but we've traveled much and this was pleasant. The rooms smelled surprisingly fresh for a "inn". Great deck to sit on right off the room. Big clean new windows. Really nice! You could do much worse out in Eastern Long Island. I think people are confused because they paid $200 for an inn but it's all about location. I paid $100 for two hamburgers and two beers. It comes with the territory. Pulled up with two sparking clean well cared for road bikes on the rack which together retail $7,500, asked nicely if we could store them inside. Was told "no that's the rule". Asked to speak to manager, couldn't. She went out back and "called" the manager who apparently said no again. Was told to put a $5k bicycle in a wooden shed out by the pool which had a huge sign that said not responsible for lost items. Really?....Really? How can I relax when my expensive stuff is out in a unguarded wooden shed? Even the Huffy that was there had a lock on it. Front desk staff was cold since that interaction. She barely said hello, barely said anything at checkout. Just seemed nasty, and about a dozen other reviews say the same Owner was nearsighted, we won't be coming back to spend $225 per night when reasonable and polite requests are turned down without any critical thinking or evaluation. Screw that lady at the front desk for telling me to stick a bicycle that cost more than her car into a wooden shed or go take a hike. In the end, just like another reviewer, we wanted to find another door to come and go through. Breakfast included has muffin, bagels, cereal, yogurt and coffee. Meh. It's no press button pancake machine at the holiday inn!

Quaint little old fashioned hotel. The flowery bed spread and matching curtains are just what one would expect for quaint new England town. The chairs lining the hallways are a bit odd..but it's clean and affordable and would come back again

For our first time in Sag Harbor, we had a great trip including our stay at the Sag Harbor Inn. This quaint Inn with breath taking views and a very homey feel was the perfect spot for us. We went during off season and it was very quiet and peaceful. The Inn was located in walking distance to the downtown and overlooked the water. Our room had a patio which was great to enjoy some sunshine and the beds were incredibly comfortable. Definitely a nice place to stay during our trip to the East Coast.

This hotel has some pretty friendly staff, and easy access to a lot of things in town. However that was all completed downgraded by the hotels denial of my loved ones emotional support animal. My house was recently flooded, and the affects were devastating. My home is currently unlivable and upon discovering this, I went to this hotel after speaking on the phone with an employee who told me to come and gave me a discounted room rate because of the emergency. However I was soon told that we would no longer be accommodated at Sag Harbor Inn because of the service animal that i had been previously told by THREE SEPARATE hotel employees would not be an issue. The denial of a person because of a service animal is illegal, not to mention disgraceful, distasteful, and dishonorable.

Had a wonderful stay at Sag Harbor Inn. This hotel is so conveniently located right in town but on a quiet road. It's comfortable, updated and the staff is so friendly. We were pleasantly surprised to find a bottle of wine chilling and chocolates waiting for us in our room. Will definitely return the next time we need a getaway!

After the car rental's GPS decided to route us through two ferries via Shelter Island, we finally ended up at the Sag Harbor Inn one rainy Friday evening in early October. Easy check in at the front desk where we were given an excellent map of the Hamptons and a great recommendation to try out the Beacon for dinner. I don't know about the hotel's claim to be "the most luxurious hotel in the Hamptons," but it was certainly an acceptable place to rest our heads. Yes, the inn and the rooms are decorated like your grandmother's house circa 1985, but it was perfectly clean and well maintained. Our room had a nice balcony overlooking the harbor. Free continental breakfast. Just about every tv station available, including Bravo which never happens at hotels! Overall, a great water location in a very down to earth, relaxed part of the Hamptons. If you are a city girl who doesn't really look at maps and relies on GPS, I would highly recommend making sure you avoid the ferry detours and are on route to take the Montauk Highway instead. $23 later, I finally understood why the GPS showed we were 8 miles yet 45 minutes away from the hotel. Oops.

I stayed here two times, in spring 14 and over the 4th July weekend. Sag Harbor is very dreamy and the hotel (it should be ranged motel...) location is perfect. The first time I stayed in a pink room, shockingly 1980's with rattan furniture, powder pink and blue walls. This time I was on the ground floor, across the elevator in a blue room and the wind howled all night through the room (if you open the window...) Bathroom sink leaked, maid walked in on me three mornings... - You will find all the details of lacking service in previous comments; front desk unfriendly, no "charm" throughout the place. Yes, it's clean, furnished with basic amenities but for the charge and location provided their Continental breakfast should not be reduced to a few packages of cereal, milk, cheap OJ and weak coffee... In face of a new hotel construction next door, I am astonished there is no effort to compete - I was informed I had to change rooms; I checked out. This place surely could use someone (like me) flipping the place back on track; foremost team-building, "real" breakfast and "modernization"... It's an okay place, pricy for a few nights rest - not my recommendation yet. They are still banking on the lack of choices available, but that is changing soon!

We have been here quite a few summers now and love staying here, that being said they have raised their prices so EXTREMELY HIGH that I don't know if we will be able to ever come here again. It's been our little summer getaway with my mom and the kids. So sad it will have to end. I guess since Barons Cover is next door they have to raise the prices. I know they said they renovated but this is crazy!!!!! They did not change everything. Some but not enough to justify the price.

The other reviewers went in the winter but if you are here in the summer...be warned. My room was $400 a night and looks like it was last decorated in 1985. The carpet was industrial and worn, the couches and chairs were in dire need of new upholstery...the sparse and motelly bathroom was totally bland and basic. What a waste of a great location within walking distance of Sag Harbor Main Street and the marina...

I stayed at the Sag Harbor Inn recently and will definitely be going back. The hotel is very clean, comfortable and relaxing, with an efficient and friendly staff, an outdoor pool, free daily breakfast, great flat-screen TV's and internet in every room, and vintage hamptons artwork and decorating on every floor. I believe it to be the best value in town and you won't find a better bang-for-your-buck given the short walk to main street and best water views of any hotel in the area. While peak season is always the busiest time in the hamptons, the rates are still very affordable compared to the other options, and you'll be happy if you decide to stay here instead of the Baron Cove Inn located next door (have stayed at both). And when looking for a place to visit during the off-season, the rates (in addition to everything else mentioned above), makes the Sag Harbor Inn a no-brainer in my opinion.
