Saga Fjord Hotel

Place could be a real hidden gem, amazing location with views on the fjords. Some staff are friendly but a younger lady at the reception seemed very bored and not willing to help. Their activities could benefit from an upgrade (bikes were all broken down)

Really great hotel! The rooms were beautiful and felt nice and clean! The views are amazing here.

Fortunately our last night with Norway Classic Hotel chain- would not recommend this chain! They have some lovely locations, this is not one of them, yet they operate like hostels or boarding rooms with high price tags. Their menus are super limited, contrived and artificial food, terrible wine list, sulfite full! In a place that prioritizes sustainability and eco-friendliness, there is a severe lack of understanding as to living well, for human beings. If we want to live clean and keep the environment clean, we also need to eat clean, drink clean and sleep well. We’ve had a number of bad meals; however this was the worst and breakfast was not edible.||Sajafjord did have decent beds; however the curtain blind was broken, towels were small and tattered, bathroom was left dirty when they “cleaned” the room, random beer cans remained littered around the terrace throughout our stay, the property overall needs a serious facelift! ||The sauna is amazing, not associated with the hotel.. however located in a perfect spot for cold plunges off the dock. The outdoor fire pit is nice as well as the cozy indoor fire. Otherwise the town has no character and seems deserted— better to lodge closer to Olden or Stryn.

This is a very cozy place to stay. It's a bit old, but that is part of its charm. It's right on the fjord so our room had a nice view! Dinner in the restaurant was very good. We did trips to Alesund and Geiranger from here so it was a good location. Staff is very nice and helpful. They did not have a great way to charge our vehicle so we had to go elsewhere to do that. Overall a nice place to stay.

This has to be the quintessential Norway hotel for these travelers. We had 2 rooms as we are a family of 4. The lesser of the 2 rooms was only ok, but the suite we had was just stunning, the views out the window were worth the additional cost. I might only review the hotel as a 4 if we had had the same style of room. I strongly suggest paying for the Suite with a sea view if available, not cheap but one does not go to Norway to save money. The dinner was ok, nothing great, but good enough. Breakfast was good as well. But the location and views were spectacular. We were given good recommendations on where to take an evening walk and a hike the next day. An absolute worthy spot, particularly if you are looking to drive the Queens Route on the way to Geirangerfjord.

This was a wonderful stay. Access to the water for a morning swim. Beautiful hotel lobby, lounge areas, and delicious food and drinks.

We just finished our stay at Hotel Saga Fjord. We didn’t know what to expect, and I can say that we really enjoyed our stay. Saebo is a perfect little town that is not frequented by tour buses and is very beautiful. The hotel itself is just right. The rooms are nice, with some amazing views. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful, giving great ideas on where to hike and sightsee. Breakfast and dinners are just right-not fancy, but really good. This is a great alternative to the famous Hotel union Oye, which is not far, but a lot less value- for our three nights stay there plus dinners, we paid what we would’ve paid for a one night stay at the union Oye. Highly recommend this place

The room wasn’t nice at all. It was impossible to sleep with the translucent curtains. I had to get dressed in the bathroom every time. Room was dark and it looks like a refugee. If you have problems on the back I don’t recommend this place. Breakfast was really good and the view’s were incredible.
