Noah Galvin’s Grub Street Diet

"A casual lunchtime spot where the author enjoyed a half schnitzel sandwich (chicken cutlet with apricot-fig jam, pickled onion, greens, and aioli) and a side of spicy peanut noodles (scallion, carrot, cilantro), noting he avoided the cilantro and jokingly aligning with Julia Child’s aversion." - Chris Crowley

Sage’s Kitchen is situated both inside and outside of Anderson’s Garden Center. The restaurant evokes a sense of nostalgia. We visited on Mother’s Day, and the atmosphere and service were exceptional. For starters, we enjoyed a mimosa and a spicy Bloody Mary. For our main course, we ordered the egg fajita and chicken salad sandwich. After lunch, we explored the shop and nursery, and it’s impossible to leave without a smile. The hostess was wonderful and provided great customer service. It’s a very kid-friendly place where children can play endlessly. There’s also an arcade and mini golf, making it a perfect spot for families to enjoy the weekend. It’s an ideal location for a fun day out where both kids and adults can have a great time without getting bored. I highly recommend stopping by!

Sage Kitchen is the place to be! Perfect place to grab a bite after restraining yourself from buying a bunch of plants and boutique items at Anderson’s. Furthermore, you can work up an appetite losing terribly at the super affordable arcade or mini golf course connected to the restaurant. The staff are all sweet gals, the live music and scenery is peaceful, and the food was so fresh and delicious! I look forward to my next visit to Sage.

Went here on Thursday for a friends birthday dinner. I did not like how there was no servers, or waiters or waitresses to take our order. You had to walk back inside and order food. They didn’t have alot of drink options, for the meals it was like a grocery store feeling in the inside. I will say the outside out back was amazing. I loved the playground for the kids and all the shade they had for the heat or rain. My kids really enjoyed the playground. The food was amazing but the prices was a bit pricey. I got their famous chicken sandwich croissant it was soo yummy! I also got the Mac and cheese balls, the sauce was good the Mac and cheese was fried great but needed more flavor. I did decide to try their lemonade and it was delicious. All an all I liked everything except the service it took over a hour for food and the place wasn’t even packed . I will be coming back with my family for a second try.

The food and drinks were terrific! The Brussel sprouts, Pineapple Pig and Jammy Patty Melt were yummy! There were multiple seating options (inside, covered outside greenhouse or outside yard area. Everyone was friendly and the service was prompt and professional. They were setting up for live music and a large party in one area. It’s tucked away inside a garden center. So, that makes for a totally different vibe than a regular restaurant/bar. But, in a great way! Really enjoyable experience! And, our pup got to join us as well!

The atmosphere is absolutely beautiful and relaxing. There is a green house area with plenty of seating and comfy seating. There use to be servers for the inside green house area, however now you seat yourself and order at the bar, a lot of things are now self serve (certain beverages + well water)! The outside area seems to be for bigger groups and is either first come first serve or you can call in to reserve. High recommend if you’re wanting to sit by a fire with your friends, co workers, family or partner(s). Their food is naturally sourced and from local farms which is nice change and depart from a lot of chain restaurants.

Oh my gosh. I’d been wanting to go here for forever and I saw they were having live music so we finally went. It’s amazing. First off I had no idea where it is. The Sage Kitchen sign is on the Andersen’s sign but once you’re in the parking lot there is no other sign. I didn’t realize it is INSIDE of it! We drove all over the parking lot and looked on google maps and were confident we were at the right place. The restaurant name is only on the building in small writing with regards to their hours and seems when you walk up to it. Once inside we were like “wow!” It’s a beautiful, large spot. The restaurant is order at the counter and go find a spot and they bring it to you. Small menu but allows them to do everything really well. Everything we had was delicious. Service was great. Music on Friday nights in the summer. Atmosphere was fun for families. Lots of seating. Truly a lovely evening. Felt like we were on vacay. We loved it so so much. Can’t wait to go back!

The food is delicious, and the restaurant is never too busy. The atmosphere is nice, and the staff is always friendly.

Sage Kitchen has a lot of unique features that set it apart from other restaurants. It is located inside Andersons Corner, which has a shop, a playground, a greenhouse, an arcade, and many other fun activities. That said, the cost of the food and drinks was much higher than average. The Reuben was incredible however, just expensive. The staff were kind but not overly attentive.
