Yelp
Consistently decreasing quality. We used to be regulars at Sage kitchen, tolerating the high prices when the menu had more options, there were waitresses, they used real dishes, and there was a generally cheery atmosphere.
Ordering- you order at the front register before entering the restaurant. This creates a bottleneck where parties gaggle near the register standing and reading the menu, not unlike a fast food restaurant. There are no clear lines or queues.
Service- after ordering, everything except the alcoholic drinks is self serve. You get your own drinks and condiments before proceeding to a table that you have to find AND CLEAN, instead of the restaurant managing table selection. Good luck finding the right table for your party. You get a text when your order is ready, then you go back inside to get it yourself. Nobody checks on you later, asks if you need anything, or refills your drinks.
Menu options- as of 26 Jun there isn't a kids section of the menu, but you can order kids-sized meals. The drink options for the kids meals were milk or juice boxes. We wanted a sprite for two of the kids and this was not an option. The food quality also has gone down since the pre-Covid menu. We've been going here since about 2017. 2021 food shifted to about the quality of an IHOP lunch. For $17 for a jammie pattie, I expect better. See my picture for my $57 lunch for 1 adult and 3 kids. $10 just for 3 small chicken tenders and fries.
The pricing is almost like airport restaurants or those in downtown areas where management knows your options are extremely limited. Maybe they think that the Sandbridge tourists or Lago Mar subdivision crowd will pay it? I don't know. It's just not worth the price anymore, especially when I am my own server, bus my own table, and serve as my own hostess.
