Sage has a dining area that can best be described as the distance between cozy and tight. Our greeting was good, and we felt welcome. We ordered the baba ghanoush for an appetizer, and we enjoyed the smoky flavor of the eggplant. The pita bread served with the appetizer was pleasing. My entree was the Mixed Swarma Wrap with tumeric rice. The chicken and beef were tender in the sandwich, and the pickle is always a welcome texture change. This was the first time I tried tumeric rice, and I felt like there was an off-putting resin texture. A rice and vermicelli combination would be a great side to the sandwich. I will return to try other dishes.

Sage Lebanese Cuisine & Café is an absolute gem! From the moment you walk in, the warm and inviting atmosphere makes you feel right at home. The menu is filled with authentic Lebanese dishes, all bursting with fresh flavors and expertly prepared. The hummus and tabbouleh are must-tries, and the kabobs are perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection. The service is just as wonderful—friendly, attentive, and happy to guide you through the menu if you’re new to Lebanese cuisine. Whether you’re looking for a casual lunch or a special dinner, Sage delivers an unforgettable dining experience. Highly recommend!

I have been wanting to try Sage for a while now after hearing how good and authentic their Lebanese food is. Our table shared some appetizers and ordered our own meals as well. I had the Greek salad and added chicken and thought it was salty and a very small portion of chicken. My husband ordered the chicken shawarma wrap and that was delicious! The grape leaves were small and the rice seemed undercooked. The hummus was delicious. We also got a small bucket of pita with the app which wasn’t nearly enough bread for all the dips so we had to pay more money for pita in order to finish everything.

Google
They have the best lamb chops I've ever had! We had the beef shawarma on tumeric rice too. Also great. Grape leaves and baba ganoush appetizers are awesome. Wonderful service too!

Google
I enjoyed the KEBAB MIXER (sample of shish, chicken and Kafta kebab, yellow rice.) you can order just one kind but I couldn’t decide. Rich flavors, but not overdone. Moist and tender and two wonderful dips, and a small salad. I’m glad I went at lunchtime because it was a lot.

Google
Wow! This place is SO GOOD. We got the kibbeh, two entrees (beef on rice and lamb on hummus), and the canafe dessert… everything was 10/10 delicious. Really friendly staff, great atmosphere. Highly recommend! We’ve found our new favorite Fairhope restaurant - it’s the best.

Google
Excellent Lebanese food with a very nice atmosphere. We sat outside and enjoyed the Meza Mixer, Humus Trio, and Turkish hot coffee. I recently ate at a well known Lebanese restaurant in NYC that couldn’t hold a candle to this incredible place. Try Sage out…you won’t be disappointed.

Google
I really liked the cafe-like ambience, and the food here is great, everything from the appetizers to the desserts. The pita bread here is so soft and warm

Yelp
Love this family-owned restaurant. Always delish meals and kind service. A consistent win.

Yelp
This is a small jewel hide in the heart of downtown Fairhope, actually on Fairhope avenue. This is a cozy Lebanese restaurant with amazing Mediterranean twist cocktails and delicious small middle eastern plates to share. Highly recommended.

Angel I.

Yelp
Great middle-eastern dining spot in Fairhope. The restaurant is small, so make sure you time it right or make reservations (if they do that). They have both indoor and outdoor dining. We ordered the meza variety appetizer platter, the feta and olive fries, the chicken shawarma wrap, and the NYC chicken platter- all were delicious. The chicken in both dishes were nicely marinated and tender, the fries were crisp and well-seasoned, and the lebneh and hummus dips were very nice paired with their warm pita.

Jamie M.

Yelp
Nice Lebanese cafe with indoor and outdoor seating. Wait staff was friendly and adequate. The dining area is on the smaller side, and more "cafe" style. We enjoyed eating outside with the nice cooler weather! Our food was well seasoned and freshly prepared. Their Shawarma was different than we've had at other establishments, but still tasty. My favorite was the Kalamata hummus- so yummy! The pita bread was delicious- nice and soft with good flavor.

Ryan H.

Yelp
Ordered the mezzanine platter and pita. Got back to my hotel room and no pita. No big deal. Walked back over got the pita I paid for ($1.99) and got grilled over how I ordered, when I ordered etc etc. staff looked through all the tickets in the back to find my order for $1.99 pita after I showed her the receipt. Offered to pay AGAIN FOR THE PITA. Finally got the pita all smushed up in foil with a foul look from the chef. Sad because this place used to be my go to in Fairhope.

Yelp
Everything at Sage was amazing; the food, the service and the ambiance. This was our first time here and it was delicious and a great experience. We picked a table outside and so happy we did. Service from the start was fantastic. Our waiter was very informative and friendly. We ordered the appetizer sampler, Meza Mixer. It was very good. I had the Dark Dirty Martini which was very good. I also had the Sage salad with chicken which also was very delicious. At the end we decided to have the Turkish coffee and I would suggest anyone to try it. The whole experience was enjoyable and a very good experience. Will definitely be back.

Aaron H.

Yelp
Come on, a Greek salad with grilled chicken and a domestic beer...$25. Okay with the price, but disappointed when I saw the portion size back at the hotel. Good food, but they under delivered on value tonight.

Daryl S.

Yelp
Excellent food. Great gluten free options too for any with celiac disease. The food was outstanding. Drinks were good too. Service was good, they need to work on pre bussing the table. But very friendly service.

Teri W.

Yelp
Make a reservation. Small dining area and popular. We were visiting area and were lucky to walk in and get last table. Enjoyed our meal and loved the hummus!!

Ingrid U.

Yelp
Our second visit to Fairhope and this restaurant. Excellent food and service. Had 2 glasses of wine, hummus, falafels and Greek salad for apps; then falafel wrap and kebab mixer for dinner. Knocked off one star because it is pretty loud and difficult to carry on a conversation with people hard of hearing. Otherwise, would highly recommend!

Eileen F.

Yelp
Great food and service absolutely fabulous.. Small place but comfy. We had a bottle of wine . They were also accommodating when the baby spit up and we needed some assistance. They gave us a bag so we could put the bib and cloth in and mere not deterred

Yelp
Arabic food in Alabama?! Oh yes! Great restaurant, food, and owner. Must try the lamb chops. Fattoush was yummy. Very reasonable. Go and enjoy.

Katie B.

Yelp
The food is ALWAYS Excellent. !! Best service around. Always a fun relaxing time. I recommend highly

Anita H.

Yelp
Wonderful ambiance, food, and service. Feels like an old-world restaurant- only a few tables, but worth the wait. Advise to call ahead and reserve a table.

Claire S.

Yelp
This one of our favorite places to eat in Fairhope!! Consistently yummy food and great service

Coleman O.

Yelp
Decided to try Sage as many have told me how great their lamb chops are. Sage is a smaller restaurant inside, but they have seating in the front and on the side. The restaurant is Decorated in a Lebonese motif which is what I would expect. I ordered the Lamb Chops, of course, and they are served with a Mediterranean salad and yellow rice. The chops come with a balsamic glaze, and they arrived with a perfect medium cook. People have given high praise to Sage for their Lamb Chops, and Sage did not disappoint. Wonderful taste profile...you can definitely tell that their lamb is grass fed and of the highest quality. Best lamb I have had on the Eastern Shore, for sure. Service was on point, and the food was excellent. Well done, Sage. A quality dining experience. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

Karma N.

Yelp
Amazing food every time. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable. The dining room is cozy and nice to bring guests from out of town to share the Sage experience.

Robert W.

Yelp
Great food but only if you dont mind being shoehorned into confined space as the tables are cramped; but a good way to meet a new neighbor and interject into his conversations.

Courtney M.

Yelp
Consistently serving top notch taste, authentic options, and fresh premium ingredients. It's hard to choose what to order because everything that sounds good is great and everything on the menu sounds good...With little option for privacy, you're lucky you've landed in an environment conducive for making new friends, asking questions or just a friendly chat. Odds are you'll run into at least a few locals here and we love visitors. So, whether you are passing through town or looking for a unique tasting experience you can't go wrong with Sage!! Chicken Schwarma Sandwich Chicken Shawarma Greek Salad Hummus Trio Lamb Chops Tabouli Traditional Hummus

Van N.

Yelp
This is for management not the food. I walked by at noon on a Friday, I know it will be busy. But there is ONE server for the whole very busy restaurant. There were two but one of them had a very very large group. So one poor server was running her tail off being the hostest and the server. I never got to eat since the wait was too long. Honestly if you don't have enough staff you shouldnt open the inside, outside patio, and the alley way. If your food is good people will come. They might have to wait due to only one server and certain tables. But it sure beats an overworked waitress and customers leaving before they eat.

Sarah W.

Yelp
Such a surprise gem! Authentic middle eastern food with a lot of variety. Highly recommend! Please

Ashley P.

Yelp
The service was great, and the drinks were even better. I've had their food before, which was amazing, however, we stopped in for just the Sage Mojitos which are the best we've ever had.

Alex S.

Yelp
Apps: ZAATAR MANKOUSHE - way too much thyme. Like scrape off too much. KIBBEH - this was delicious and had a great garlic sauce. Save that for the rice and mix the garlic sauce into the rice! GRAPE Leaves - delicious and definitely recommend. TRADITIONAL Hummus - was delicious and pita was well done. TABOULI - was good but it was not that easy getting salad off the bed of greens. Main: Lamb chops and the kebab platter were delicious but damn the amount of meat you get was tiny. The two orders together were like 65 bucks. You get rice 4 total chops, 3 chicken, 2 kebabs and two beef pieces. Overall all this food and 3 drinks with tip cost about 150. That is absolutely ridiculous. In Chicago you can feed a family of 5 for that and more easily at a great Mediterranean restaurant. Also while the social distancing and limited seating is enforced BUT masks are not enforced so while you are eating people are walking in and out without masks and standing over you breathing down your neck waiting for food.

Claire S.

Yelp
Great Mediterranean food! Everything seems very authentic and fresh! Small space, but wonderful service

Karie T.

Yelp
One of our favorites in town! Make sure you get a reservation! Delicious food, wine and yummy hummus!

Joe B.

Yelp
Excellent food!! One of the best restaurants in Baldwin county! Highly recommend!!!!

Daniel S.

Yelp
You're not going to find better Lebanese food in Baldwin county. Locally owned and operated, the kind of place we like to support.

Yelp
Our last dinner out in Fairhope, Alabama and we wanted someplace special ... a few people suggested Sage so I called in & luckily they had a space for the three of us ! We got there and the sweet server had one table saved & open for us ... I can't recall her name but she expertly handled the room by being hostess, server, cashier, and busser all in one ... the vibe is romantic and cafe chic ! The music and low lights just right to calm you and relax while you take in the beautiful lights outside the window ... Fairhope sure took great care into lighting up their trees with such detail ! Absolutely beautiful!!! Ok ... so back to the restaurant! The food is amazing here ... we had a meza mixer : hummus, falafel, baba ghanous, and grape leaves, then a chick pea salad, NYC chicken and a order of beef kabob. Everything was delicious and so fresh ! We ordered extra bread and had to end splitting one order of spanakopita... which was perfection ! We will definitely be back next time we are in Fairhope!!! Truly a wonderful last meal and highly recommend it to you all

Keenya M.

Yelp
Great ambiance and delicious food! This was our second time here and Sage delivered again, Our waiter was friendly and worked well together.

Patriciz L.

Yelp
Great freshly made excellent food. We took out take away. Have no idea what the restaurant looks like but I would live to return

Orlando L.

Yelp
Want great Lebanese food while shopping in Fairhope, AL? Then put Sage first on your list! The shawarma is awesome, the salads are huge. Great service, clean dining room all wrapped into one. The decor is awesome, it kept me occupied looking at all the relics on the walls. Try it, it's good!!!!

R B.

Yelp
What a surprise. We were tired from walking around the Fairhope Arts and Craft Festival and stopped by for a bottle of Cava and hummus. Relaxed and a great experience. Wonderful staff and good. Highly recommend.

Michelle W.

Yelp
My husband is fasting from meat, and suggested we go here for dinner because he was tired of eating at restaurants where vegetables are a side thought. At Sage's, vegetables are most definitely playing the starting role. We enjoyed the kid's cheese pita, meza appetizer platter, Greek salad, falafel wrap, NYC veggies, and beef shawarma. Every single bite was excellent, and we loved being the center of attention with not just one but TWO attentive servers. If you're in the Fairhope area, Sage's is a must stop!

Savour A.

Yelp
If you happen to be in downtown Fairhope, Al. and hungry at the same time, look for Sage. Sage is a popular and unique restaurant with a surprising blend of traditional dishes and Mediterranean & Lebanese cuisine flavors. We stopped for lunch and tried the "out of this world" Hummus Trio, one of their most requested appetizers. Traditional hummus, Kalamata olives, and sriracha jalapeño hummus are served in this appetizer.

Susan C.

Yelp
Make a reservation! The place was packed at 5:30 on Saturday. Try the chicken kabob over Greek salad. Excellent flavor. It was excellent. The place is small and loud when crowded. But, it's so good - I don't know if this place is ever not crowded!!

Tim M.

Yelp
Walked buy it many times. Now we've eaten there twice. Good food both times. Wide selection of kababs and other Lebanese plates. The restaurant is a little small, but not bad. They serve you quickly. We have suggested it to many people and we will go there again.

Philip L.

Yelp
Really tasty food and friendly service. Loved the eating environment as well. Will definitely return and highly recommend the variety on the menu

Cari S.

Yelp
Food was good and service terrific. I was sitting able to look straight into the kitchen. I observed one of the chefs picking up his cell phone and touching it all over and then going back to touching/ plating the food. All while wearing black gloves (I assume to prevent contamination ) I was quite "grossed out" at the thought of the germs on the phone being transferred to everyone's food .

Kayla K.

Yelp
My new favorite place in Fairhope!! It was delicious. I can't complain about anything we ordered. I don't eat meat but my husband absolutely loved the chicken curry. The inside was decorated very nicely. Great experience can't wait to visit again.

Christopher K.

Yelp
Excellent food. Friendly service in a great location. We live a few blocks away and it's our date night go to!

A. A.

Yelp
I had the fattoush salad with chicken. There were three small pieces of chicken which I thought was disappointing. The salad had way too much oil on it and no lemon. Overall the flavors were pretty good, though, and service was excellent.

Carlee W.

Yelp
Great service and the food was delicious!! My mom and I ate here for lunch not too long ago!

Raquel B.

Yelp
Best Mediterranean food in the world! I didn't even take a picture. I had the chicken kebab, but the salad was so good! Omg! When I go back I'm definitely getting the lamb salad.

Linda C.

Yelp
Everything was great! We had their Traditional hummus with pita bread, grape leaves, fried kibbeh and chicken kebabs and with rice. My only complaint was the grape leaves were served cold, but they had no problem warming them up. I would definitely recommend this place - great service and food.

Jill B.

Yelp
Delicious as always. We go during the Fairhope Craft Festival. Seating and meal was quick but there was a limited menu.

Adaina B.

Yelp
Excellent food and service. Lovely spot in downtown Fairhope. Parking could be an issue during busier times. I suggest making a reservation to secure a table. Definitely worth it.

Jo W.

Yelp
Pretty good food, consistently

Nerissa L.

Yelp
On a recent business trip to Alabama I stopped by Sage for dinner with my coworkers. It's a fairly small restaurant but nice inside. We were seated by the window and immediately our server came by. I was excited to eat at a Lebanese restaurant and tried the Chicken kebab. This entree was served with turmeric rice, a salad and garlic sauce. It was very good ! The service was great and it was an overall nice experience!

Janet S.

Yelp
Located in the quaint downtown area of Fairhope is this gem! We stopped here for a lovely lunch, and sat outside in the nice weather. We split the appetizer sampler that came with hummus, falafel and more, and was very tasty! The pita served with it was fresh and perfect for the dips. We also split an entree of lamb over hummus. The veggies and salad served with it were very refreshing, and the entree was great! We will be back!
