This was the most peaceful and enjoyable aperitivo I have ever had. The place is absolutely gorgeous and calming, and the staff is exceptional. You can enjoy incredible views of Venice—away from the busy streets and fast pace of the city. I absolutely loved my time here.

I had high expectations dining at a restaurant in a 5-star hotel like JW Marriott, but the service was far below what one would expect—especially at the price point. Basic attention to detail was completely lacking. We were a table of seven, including a child, yet the staff didn’t acknowledge the need to serve the child first—something any quality establishment should instinctively recognize. Starters were brought out and placed randomly wherever there was space, with no consideration for presentation or explanation. No one even bothered to ask if the starters were meant to be shared between all and help to do it. Also chairs very uncomfortable For a hotel that carries the JW Marriott name, this level of service is simply unacceptable. I hope the management seriously reviews the training and standards expected of their staff, because this experience was far from the premium service they should have.

Excellent service and food! Everyone was so attentive. I’m a platinum elite member so we were offered free cicchettis too. We were there for dinner and the view was breathtaking. They offered blankets because it was a little chilly. Expect many bugs as this is normal in Venice, so make sure to use some OFF before going 😅 otherwise everything was perfect !

We really enjoyed our wedding anniversary celebration at this restaurant! We have been traveling through Italy and we ended our trip in Venice. This restaurant was in our hotel so we decided to try it out, and it was a very delightful experience. The staff are very kind and welcoming, the food is delicious and the bread was really good! Something worth to mention since in other restaurants the bread was not good at all. We will recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants to eat a high quality meal in Venice!

We were really excited for Sagra and truly were expecting more given its exclusive location and price point. Unfortunately, it wasn’t one of the best meals we had in Venice. We felt that the menu was limited and although I appreciated its creativity, it felt very expensive for what we got. It was the first meal in Venice where we left a bit hungry after paying a pretty penny! We had the torta as an appetizer and it was just too small. For entrees, I had the pasta with octopus and my partner had bucatini with meatballs. My pasta was delicious and so was my partner’s, but portions were more on the smaller side. Thankfully mine was a bit bigger, but his had more meatballs than pasta. Come on, Sagra, no need to be stingy with the pasta. Service was really good but the whole experience felt rushed. We were done with dinner in no time. One of our favorite things about Europe is being able to take our time dining and not be rushed, but it felt quite opposite here. Also — it’s ridiculous that they charge per person for the table/to make a reservation. The views are great but at night you can’t see much.

Delicious food! Great service! One thing we didn’t like it’s super bright for dinner setting. It would be nice, more romantic and cozy with light dimmer.

Came here for lunch once in the inside part and we both had the burger. It was delicious and the fries were also super good. Service was great and yes overall it was pricey but the convenience of not having to take the shuttle was worth it since the burgers were so good. We came back later in our stay for dinner after a long day of sightseeing but this time we sat on the outside patio. The service again was fantastic but this time we got a welcome drink which was delicious and an arancini amuse bouche which again was fantastic. The bread provided was just ok since we thought the crust was too hard but the basket came with some amazing focaccia bread. For the mains we had the pappardelle al ragu and the seafood spaghetti. Both were fantastic! Portions were on the smaller side but with the bread it wasn't an issue. For dessert we tried the tiramisu experience and the lemon tart. The lemon tart filling was good but the shell was way too hard. The tiramisu was definitely the highlight though and was one of the best I've ever had. The fact that it's made tableside was also neat so I would highly recommend it.

Google
Delicious cutting edge Italian cuisine is to be had here at Sagra. There is indoor and outdoor seating. The staff is super friendly and very professional. We had the pesto gnocchi and scallop ravioli and all we can say is wow! The gelato desserts were a great ending to a wonderful meal. We hope to come back and visit.

Yelp
If you want fancy, this spot is for you. Prices were certainly high and quality was so-so but the view you get is pretty great. Service was a little uppity, given the location. We mainly were their for drinks and they're strong. Lots of mosquitos at night though so beware.

Yelp
Nice to have a restaurant in your hotel that has great food. We enjoyed our meal and glad they were able to sit our party of 9! A bit on the pricey side but convenient to not have to take a boat back to eat.

Yelp
Beautiful restaurant at the top of the JW. After a long day of traveling we wanted something tasty and easy and the Saga delivered. We went early by Italian standards- 7pm and were seated immediately. An assortment of finger foods - olives, flatbread, marinara was brought quickly. I got the pasta and my wife ordered the stuffed squid. Both came quickly and we outstanding. Clearly fresh and handmade. Staff was attentive and friendly, checking on us offer and even bringing a few treats. As were were hotel guests we were greeted by name which was very nice. Prices were in line with what I would expect for such a beautiful setting and for food of this quality. Oh, the chocolate mousse was a fantastic end to our meal.

Yelp
Amazing view and nice breeze on this private island rooftop. It's pricey but you're paying for quality. The menu rotates but the food was very tasty. I got a shrimp pasta and such a good hummus bread. My strawberry sorbet wasn't anything too special though. Service was well trained, friendly, and helpful.

Yelp
We were lucky enough to stay at the JW Venice resort and be able to enjoy a few meals at this restaurant! Lunch included some gorgeous salads which have ingredients from their garden. Orecchietti pasta dishes were fantastic! Location is near the rooftop pool and has a different vibe for lunch and dinner. For dinner one night our table enjoyed sharing the Florentine steak special. () Service was very attentive and generous with specials "gifts" from the kitchen.

Yelp
Food very good but not better than you will get in town. They try hard. They try to please and we were complimentary all night. We ordered a skew of food and yet at the end were offered no limoncello even though every single person and table the entire night we witnessed being offered it as "what we do for our customers". They pretty much sunned it for us. I guess we are not their customers and I can assure you we won't be again and I shall tell anyone coming to Venice to avoid it at all costs. I tipped generously. Kind of wish now I hadn't.

Yelp
We truly enjoyed the service and the food at the restaurant. Since we weren't really hungry and wanted to just get some salad, we inquired what our options were. Linda was the hostess and she was very helpful in getting us some mixed salads that had been adjusted for us to get us just what we wanted/needed. At the end we ordered some mascarpone cream and cookies with moscato wine which was a nice treat. Ended up having a nice conversation with a couple right next to us as well.

Yelp
I understand the mixed reviews on this place - some dishes are amazing, others miss the mark completely. Also, service can be completely, totally and utterly PAINFULLY slow. The closer you get to dessert, the longer things take. Which is really too bad, because dessert is one of their strong suits. Our first night here, we had a party of 15. Everything was served family style and required no one to look at a menu (except for drinks). The meat and cheese board was huge! Plenty of selections! Our table was particularly smitten with the little squares of fried dough to dip in honey. I enjoyed the arancini. I found it to be more flavorful than you find at a lot of places. But the caprese Salad is what blew me away! The mozzarella was the softest, creamiest, most delicious I've ever had! I could eat that every day. For me, both of the pastas were disappointing. Maybe because expectations are particularly high when you're in Italy? One was seafood ravioli - very popular at our table. The other had red sauce, parm crips and pistachios. I absolutely loved their red sauce!! But there was so little of the sauce and so much of the thick noodle. I can say that the noodle was cooked al dente and nicely salted. Lastly, we all shared a plate of desserts. The hazelnut brownie and tiramisu were definitely my favorites! But everything was really quite impressive. Even the desserts/flavors I wouldn't normally go for were all divine! The next night was more casual. I went for the caprese Salad again. And for my main, hubby and I shared lamb and gnocchi. Both were underwhelming - not a lot of flavor, not a lot of anything going on. This time, we ended with gelato. My husbands pistachio was by far the best I've ever had!! And my scoop of chocolate was very, very rich (think 75% dark chocolate). The prices are high, some dishes are misses and things can be slow. But the staff is very friendly and some of the food is incredible!!

Yelp
Don't waste your money. We booked a 3 night stay in the hotel. We had high expectations, but were very disappointed in this restaurant. We spent 170 EURO. Yes, close to $200 US, for a terrible meal with great views. The service was kind, but slow and unorganized, and the food was the worst food we had on our entire Italian vacation! It was expensive, poor quality food. The dessert was the only thing that was good. We had the 4 piece shareable to start, followed by the gnocchi, the seared turbo, and finished with the broken tiramisu. The food was so bland. It had no flavor. The fish and mussels did not taste fresh, and the fish smelled like it had been sitting around for days. The skin was gross and soggy! It was really hard to eat. The dessert was delicious. It helped take the taste of fish out of my mouth. I love fish and thought this was one of the worst fish dishes I've ever had in my life. I would order the desert again, it was good, and drinks were ok. Service was very kind, but slow and unorganized. For example, we ordered a red wine, but our waiter accidentally brought out a white. He (kindly) blamed my partner for the mistake. He changed it, but insisted that my partner ordered the white wine. He didn't. Throughout the meal we had three different people checking in, but they were not attentive, and it took forever to get things they offered (water and bread). However, when they were at our table, they were always very nice...even when they were blaming us for a mistake. Ultimately, the food is not worth it. For $170 Euro total, I wish we would've taken the 30 minute boat ride back to the island. The rest of the time we were at the hotel we did. Venice recommendations: Excellent food at Nevodi and Al Covo.

Yelp
Came here for lunch and dinner while staying at the resort. Lunch was good, but the price left us feeling just ok about the experience. The $9 per person cover charge seemed steep for a quick lunch. Dinner was great. We came at sunset and had braised short rib. It was delicious and our server was fantastic. You can't beat the views of the water especially at sunset. Highly recommend and evening meal if you're staying at the resort!

Yelp
Actually a good restaurant for a resort! We only are here once for lunch but was pleased with the food. We had a nice glass of wine along with a cheese and meat platter. It's nice because you can choose which cheeses and meats you'd like to try and they'll bring you a small, medium or large tray. Also these breadsticks they have are so yummy - reminds me of focaccia bread! I tried the pumpkin risotto with duck confit and I am usually not a pumpkin fan but the flavor was so light it was fantastic with the duck as a perfect compliment. I couldn't stop eating it! Their seafood soup looked amazing - served in a big pot overflowing with seafood. You could smell it throughout the entire restaurant. Their pasta was also perfectly cooked and all fresh ingredients. The restaurant itself is pretty and you can't beat being on the rooftop!

Yelp
Horrible food avoid at all costs. Good was poor quality and honestly just tasted bad. Would not recommend if you are staying at the JW. Stick to the bar downstairs.

Yelp
Not worth it. Tourist trap. Cost an arm and a leg for LUNCH with my family 600 euro for some burgers and sandwiches and Pepsi. YIKES!!

Yelp
Definitely cool to dine on a rooftop restaurant on an island. While you could make out the Venice rooftops in the distance, its not like seeing a view of Las Vegas or New York. The skyline is low, and there aren't many lights. The food (I had the steak) and wine was pretty good. The staff friendly and patient (we asked a lot of questions about the menu). If you are staying at the Marriott, you should definitely give it a try. If not, there is a 20 minute one-way boat ride (free Marriott Shuttle Boat) out to the island.

Yelp
This is probably one of the best restaurants we ate at while in Venice. It was on the island where our hotel was. It was on the top floor of the Marriott. The view was awesome. The service was impeccable. The food, awe, the food it was what dreams are made of. I had the pacceri a la cabanera, our friend had doppiette di melanzane, and my husband had pasta della nonna. We also had an appetizer of calamari grigliato. Now to describe these dishes my dish was a homemade pasta dish with egg yolk, I thought I'd died and gone to heaven. Jody, our friend's dish was deep fried stuffed eggplant. Inside was spaghetti pesto, cherry tomatoes and stracciatella. My husband's dish had a variety of meat... pork, veal, and sausage mixed with pasta. The calamari was stuffed with vegetables, shellfish, and prawns. It was fried in a skillet and had a bit of a red sauce to enhance the flavor. I believe this is the place we will go back to on our last night.

Yelp
Amazing views and really good food. If you don't want to head back into Venice a perfect spot.

Yelp
After a long day walking all over the place, we decided to stay on Isola delle Rose & have dinner at the resort instead of taking the shuttle out to San Marco. We were a bit disappointed with our dinner here. The price is expected at a resort but the food was just ok. Service was decent. Full bar available. Reservation's recommended (we ate around 9 pm because we made our reservation pretty last minute)

Yelp
First of all, the resort is beautiful. The staff is extremely friendly and pleasant. The dining room is welcoming and upscale causal with an outdoor bar attached. The service and food here was a great experience. The breaded scallops with white asparagus was amazing, as well as the tortellini in chicken broth. A true treat!

David S.

Yelp
Nice view but the food is not quite where it needs to be. We went there twice on a five-night stay at the JW. The first night, the food was pretty good, the next night (a Friday night), less so -- the service as well. Also, the menu should say that the pasta with mixed seafood has a pink sauce -- no cream needed. The waiters and waitresses are very pleasant. And the bartender makes great spritzes. Wine nothing special and expensive.
