We were accommodated for a quick dinner due to no booking - PEDRO, our waiter was amazing! He took charge of situation. He made great suggestions and ensured our food arrived timeously! He even brought water to the table without us asking a special detail to a rushed meal. We will definitely return with a booking to enjoy the delicious food at leisure . The Crispy ginger fish was a showstopper! Thank you Pedro and Saigon

Saigon is a consistently impressive spot for Asian cuisine in Cape Town. The food is fresh, full of flavour, and beautifully presented with options for all dietary needs. Every dish we tried reflected a real attention to quality and detail. What stood out was the quality of food and impeccable service - warm, attentive, and professional throughout. It’s the kind of place that’s perfect for both a relaxed dinner or a special occasion.

Saigon is a journey through Asian flavors without leaving Cape Town. The ambiance is cozy, the service impeccable, and the food authentic, balancing tradition and sophistication. The atmosphere of the restaurant was great. As soon as we entered, the mountain view through the large window was absolutely stunning. We ordered a variety of dishes. The salmon sushi was disappointing as it didn’t taste good, and it seemed like they didn’t know how to prepare the sushi rice properly. The noodles in the pho were all broken, making us wonder if they were intentionally cut or if broken pieces were used. Fortunately, the food overall was quite delicious.

Before the food arrived: So nice I did it twice After the food arrived: Not nice Two weeks ago I went to Saigon with my best friend and the food was good. Tonight we went again and it was not good. I showed the photo from last time to the waiter upon ordering it and said "Please make it the same way". They really didn't. Consistency is KEY and they FAILED. 1. My rainbow wok noodles didn't have broccoli or green beans. Not good. 2. There was no topping of whatever that is or sprouts. Not good. 3. The portion was smaller. Not good. 4. The basil beef chilli initially was cold and tiny. I wish I took a photo before but was less than half the next portion so just imagine it. Terrible. The manager said they didn't have broccoli after I complained and said Sundays they run out of stock but they should have said upon order and given me options of other vegetables instead of charging R160 for noodles, tofu and cabbage with spring onion. They remade the beef dish but R185 for such a small portion is INSANE. The flavour of the wok: Different to the previous time and one-dimensional The flavour of the beef: Sauce not coated evenly. Beef slightly overcooked but not dry. Not what is expected at Saigon and NOT Saigon standard. I don't wish to return and I have been craving this meal ever since and even defended the price before. We ordered two glasses of Sauv Blanc (R65 each) and there was no offer of not charging for the wine because of the food mishaps. Took half of our food as takeaways and paid R575 including tip and we left.

Second visit unfortunately atrocious service and was mediocre. The coconut flan was inepp Inedible by me…manager walked pass as knowledged our issue to reorder and meal as the cauliflower pops was awful. He responded was kitchen closed all packed up, however staff would whip my desserts we paid for‼️ no customer service, felt that they just wanted to make a quick buck-eat or dont eat but pay and leave now already that was the impression i received. Will never return.

Food always great here, but the broth of the pho today could’ve been more clarified. I will say, the extraction fans in the kitchen could do with maintenance. Every time we come the smoke tends to seep onto the floor and you’re left in a coughing fit.

What an amazing experience. The food was amazing and wow.. the service?! Top quality service from the staff and our waiter Tyler was fantastic. The food recommendations he gave us was amazing. Really loved Saigon and would recommend it to everyone.
