Ha Cao' and 'Siu Mai'Empanaditas were good. The Mango salad was OK but the mango wasn't quite ripe -so it was not as good as it could be. Also it was a very small serving size. The Pho Bo didn't have much flavor. Quite bland, but I assume everything here is adjusted for local palettes.
A weird thing was that the waiter advised us to dip the beef slice into a fish sauce dip. It's not common in Vietnam to dip the beef slices into a fish sauce side dip. That practice is quite unusual by Vietnamese standards.
In the South (e.g., Saigon), people may have a small dish of hoisin and chili sauce on the side where they might dip the beef or meatballs, but they typically don't dip it in fish sauce. The fish sauce has a strong smell and also makes the beef way to sour and salty.
Well, if you're Vietnamese, or grew up eating Pho, you're better off skipping this place because you're not gonna like it. For locals, it's an OK place to try and explore Vietnamese food. Flavors are quite neutral here so it won't upset the local palette.
Excellent service here, very attentive and professional. Great waiters!
