The Worst Hotel Experience - Valencia Hotel Da Nang Beach HotelGeneral SpacesValencia Hotel Da Nang Beach Hotel is, without a doubt, the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. Let’s start with the general spaces. The elevator looks like it hasn’t been maintained since it was installed 20 years ago. It’s covered in scratches, rust, and spilled liquids. The hotel has a corridor-style floor plan, with some areas having windows and others completely lacking them. The corridors are dimly lit (I have no idea how it will look on night), except for the far ends where windows are present. However, the windows offer a view of a garbage dump, which is far from pleasant. The corridors themselves are extremely narrow, barely allowing a single adult man with one suitcase to pass through. Unfortunately, I didn’t take a photo of the room lock, but it looked just as worn-out as the metal plates on the corridor floors. The RoomMoving on to the personal space—the room itself. My room had a window, but it opened into the corridor where everyone passes by, offering zero privacy. The walls were paper-thin, and I could hear every conversation happening in the hallway. Everything in the room was as worn-out as the elevator, from the kettle to the bed. Scratches and scuffs were everywhere. The cleaning was superficial at best; it seemed like the floors were mopped once, and that was it. Everything else was dirty. The fridge and trash bin were filthy, as shown in the photos. The toilet was even worse—there were remnants of the previous guest’s waste, which is simply unacceptable. It’s shocking that the staff doesn’t perform basic checks. The bed was extremely hard and creaked loudly with every movement. The only redeeming feature was the bed linen, which appeared clean. However, I suspect this is only because the hotel primarily caters to local couples looking for short-term stays.Additional IssuesDon’t be stingy like I was—pay a little extra and stay in a proper hotel with decent conditions. The entire booking process felt like a scam. Upon arrival, I was asked to pay an additional from platform fee equal to the booking price, which was a complete surprise. The photos on booking platforms are nothing but designer renderings. In reality, everything looks completely different. If you want to cancel your stay, you’ll have to pay the same amount again, and you won’t get a single penny refunded.#### Final DecisionAfter spending just 2-3 hours in this hotel, I couldn’t bear it any longer. I immediately searched for and booked a proper hotel with decent conditions and left Valencia Hotel as soon as possible. Final ThoughtsIn conclusion, this hotel is a complete scam and a nightmare to stay in. Save yourself the trouble and book a better place. Valencia Hotel Da Nang Beach Hotel is a prime example of how deceptive marketing can ruin a traveler’s experience. Avoid it at all costs.

The service at Saigon Morin Hotel was definitely a highlight, staff were friendly, attentive, and incredibly efficient. Many of them have decades of experience, and it really shows in how smoothly everything runs. Check-in was quick, and breakfast was decent, offering a mix of average hotel fare along with some local Hue specialties, which was a nice touch. That said, the room conditions left a lot to be desired. While I appreciated being given a corner room, the space felt musty, humid, and had a strong moldy smell. I had to request a sheet change upon arrival because the bed had an unpleasant odor. The shower curtain was also quite smelly and visibly yellowed, and there were mosquitoes in the room. They did provide insect spray, but that’s not something you should have to deal with in a hotel at this level. The building definitely shows its age and is in serious need of a renovation. Hue’s humidity is no joke, and investing in dehumidifiers for the rooms would make a big difference. I personally wouldn’t return, but if you’re looking for a budget-friendly room with a prime location and don’t mind older facilities, this could still work for you.

Although this hotel has earned its 5-star rating, we don’t believe we would choose to stay here again. Our experience was somewhat disappointing, as we found that only one staff member truly went above and beyond to provide exceptional service. This was the gentleman who arranged our dinner cruise on the river, who was very attentive and made sure everything was perfect for our evening. Unfortunately, we expected more from the rest of the staff and felt that their service did not match the hotel's high reputation.

I chose this hotel, paying more than similar hotels (3-4*) in Hue. The room I was given on the 1st floor was dated and had a musty smell. I switched to a room which was large and very comfortable. Breakfast is nice. Staff are nice and attentive. Gym is small and the equipment is old. If you book here, make sure to request a newer room (3rd floor). Personally, I would not stay here again.

I have stayed at Valencia every time I visit Danang. This hotel has been attracting more and more guests, including both individual tourists and groups. You should visit My Khe Beach, which offers complete restoration from your hectic daily life. In the room, there are TV, refrigerator, electronic kettle, hair dryer. There are three massage shops right in front. I prefer the two on the sides.'Art Cafe' gives you a feeling of home with its warm and friendly atmosphere. Google map will show you the direction (300m).When you plan to visit South Korea after your trip to Danang, I recommend exploring sophisticated pieces of Korean heritage in museums or at the shops in Incheon Airport.

We stayed here for two nights and would say it was fine. The location of the hotel is great to explore the city but that’s about it. It is very obvious that the hotel is old and could be maintained better. Our room was very spacious but very empty as well, which felt quite weird. We heard that the breakfast would be over the top but found it only ok. There were many options but they all tasted quite bland. Fruit and yogurt were good, also the noodle soups were tasty. Staff was a little ignorant and could have communicated more. All in all, it was a nice stay but you pay for the name not the experience.

We booked this hotel a month in advance for three nights and paid in full. However, upon arrival, we were given a completely different apartment—much smaller than advertised, with a broken window and a non-working hairdryer. When we asked to change the apartment that same day, we were told that everything was fully booked, even though we had reserved our stay a month ago. The receptionist assured us that we could move to another apartment the next day, so we canceled our other bookings to make this possible. However, the next morning, we were told once again that there were no available apartments. Regarding the broken window, we reported it immediately, but maintenance only arrived 2–3 hours later—by then, we had already fixed it ourselves. As for the broken hairdryer, we informed the staff right after taking a shower, and they promised to fix it soon. Instead, they showed up the next day at 9 AM to repair it, waking us up unnecessarily. To make matters worse, at 6 AM, hotel staff were walking around outside our window, shouting and making noise. The lack of professionalism and basic customer service in this place is unacceptable. I do not recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable and hassle-free stay.
