Saigon | Oriental Restaurant

This place is iconic in Wichita. The owner (found out later he was the owner) personally greeted me and showed me to the table. The food was so fast. Saigon 49 came with an egg roll. The noodle dish comes with the sauce on the side. You get to add as much as you like. I used it all. It is so yummy! I also had the crab Rangoon. It is served with yellow lemony dipping sauce. Everything was so fresh and delicious. They also have sriracha sauce, soy sauce, and a hoisin sauce at the table. I used the sriracha and hoisin on mine. Of course I had too much, so I have a to go box for later. Many of the customers are ordering the Saigon 49 it was recommended by the couple seated next to me. There is tables for large groups (up to 18 it looks like). This place was so welcoming. Hailey was my server, she was so friendly and attentive. Great atmosphere.

Hands down the best pho in Wichita! The interior of the restaurant is filled with so many beautiful things to look at, the atmosphere is just so fun. The pho broth is flavorful, and they’re always so quick with their service. The dumplings with broccoli are fantastic, and the sauce that comes with is tangy and delicious! Only downside is the part of town is a little weird and I had someone throw a rock at my car after eating here… still the food is worth it!

The restaurant had a warm and welcoming atmosphere from the moment we entered. Every dish was cooked perfectly and full of rich flavor. The staff were attentive and made great menu suggestions. The setting was clean and beautifully arranged. A fantastic place for a relaxed and enjoyable meal.

The food was fresh and so much better then anticipated! The manager/owner is extremely nice and does everything in his power to ensure a positive experience! Also I never went thirsty, they did such an amazing job ensuring I had water at all times with out asking !

They made the pho soup from scratch. It’s flavorful. Highly recommend the bbq pork spring roll as well. The grill flavor just add a different layer for it.

The service was great. Several people to assist with needs/ requests. The food was not as expected. The phò lacked flavor even after adding hoisin & sriracha. Came with about 4 pieces of shrimp for a large serving. The summer rolls were very oily. The egg drop soup had the most flavor. The rice grains were hard for the fried rice. Went during lunch with maybe 2 separate patrons dining so it wasn't busy. Maybe it was just an off day considering the other reviews were high, hence why we decided to try it.

My family has been coming here for 20+ years and I find myself here at least once a month. The environment is calming and the food/service never fails to amaze me. The respect and curiosity the customers receive each and every time is astounding. I don’t know what I’d do without this place, it’s truly incredible.

I love going to eat here, one of my fav restaurants , the family operated restaurant has charm, history and definitely great food and service, which the #45 is my favourite I’ll post picture of my meal as well as my friend Hanh and I Jan 29, 2025 they will be celebrating their New Year stop in and see what festivities they will be having
