SAii Lagoon Maldives, Curio Collection by Hilton

A short boat ride from Male airport SAii Lagoon is a fantastic place to spend a honeymoon or even a family holiday. The staff from the very minute we got off our plane in the airport right the way through to checkout were so attentive and helpful. We stayed in a beach villa with our own pool and this was perfect for a romantic holiday. There is good variation when it comes to food as the island is almost split in to three. The Hilton, The Hard Rock & The Marina which is packed with restaurants with food from all parts of the world. Most of the restaurants are included in the all Inclusive package but there are some which require you to Supplement extra if booking. The ability to use your package across both hotels is great as island life can feel a little bit consuming from time to time There is a brilliant water sports facility and those with children or who love the adventure are of the sea then this is perfect. The hotel do provide you with free snorkel equipment for your stay and any excursions are separate payment to the package If you are on a romantic holiday the hotel provide special packages which can make your experience very special. I recommend you take it up!!! Over all a very special place with a perfect atmosphere and even better staff

It was a last-minute trip for us as we originally booked for one night but ended up extending for another. Room:
Our villa had an amazing view. We stayed in Villa 518, which offered a beautiful open ocean panorama. The interior was very spacious, and the villa came with a good range of amenities. The only downside was on our departure morning, when a stage setup was being installed nearby and music started playing early, which was a bit disruptive. Food:
The food was generally excellent. We tried Hard Rock Cafe, SAii Lagoon Beach Club, Jiao Wu, and the breakfast buffet, which had plenty of options. My friend loves avocado, and even though it wasn’t on the menu, the chef prepared poached eggs with avocado for her, a gesture she really appreciated. The fruits and vegetables were fresh and of great quality as well. Service:
A huge thanks to Shiham, the Front Office Manager, for giving us a wonderful first impression. He greeted us warmly on arrival and checked on us throughout our stay. Mo, Liubov, and Maumoon were also very friendly and always welcomed us with warm smiles at the reception. They were attentive and accommodating to our needs.
The only service related issue we experienced was at Kinkao. While seated at Jiao Wu (right beside Kinkao), we asked if we could pre-order food from Kinkao to be served at our table. We fully understood if this wasn’t allowed, but upon entering the restaurant, the waitress/bartender declined the request immediately without greeting us or checking what we wanted, which came across as rude. We spent every evening at Hard Rock Cafe enjoying the live band as they were fantastic. The food portions were generous, and the bartender with curly hair (unfortunately I didn’t catch his name) was excellent. The food did take a while to arrive, but it was delicious. Kids Club:
We did the complimentary adult henna tattoo session with Iya and Fian, and they did a beautiful job. The henna turned out to be one of the highlights of our stay. Environment:
The property has a gorgeous beach with plenty of sunbeds and no seagrass, unlike some other places in the Maldives. However, since it's a lagoon, the snorkelling isn’t the best due to surrounding dead corals. It’s better to book a speedboat or a snorkelling trip outside the resort to truly enjoy the underwater experience. Overall:
We had a memorable stay and would consider coming back again. Just a small tip: apply mosquito repellent before heading out, as the mosquitoes can be quite naughty!

We had an amazing honeymoon stay at SAii Lagoon Curio Collection by Hilton Maldives. Everything was perfect🥰 The service was outstanding all the staff were friendly, warm, and genuinely attentive, always making sure we were comfortable and happy. A special shoutout to Rajon from Mr. Tomyam, who was always cheerful and attentive, and to Abdel from Terra & Mar, equally welcoming. Sanket, our housekeeping attendant, did an excellent job, keeping our room spotless twice a day and checking if we needed anything. The food was delicious and diverse, with plenty of options every day. The resort is immaculately clean, peaceful, and beautifully maintained. We also loved the hotel’s mobile app, it was super practical and useful for ordering buggies, checking daily activities, booking restaurants and other experiences, and chatting with the team. They respond super fast, making everything very convenient. A sweet surprise for my husband’s birthday, a cake, wine, snacks, and a card was the cherry on top ❤️ Honestly, I can’t mention everyone, but the entire staff is amazing. We had a wonderful, unforgettable stay, and we have absolutely no complaints.

We visited Sai Lagoon on November 16th for a day trip, and overall we had a wonderful experience. The bartenders were extremely friendly, and the cocktails and mocktails were amazing very talented team behind the bar. In the evening, we really enjoyed the live music by the pool; it created a perfect atmosphere to end the day.|However, we were a bit disappointed with the attitude of one of the ladies at the reception. She spoke quite rudely, which didn’t match the warm hospitality we experienced from the rest of the staff. We hope this can be improved.|Aside from that, everything was great, and we truly enjoyed our time there.

I have stayed in this place for 3 days and it was extraordinary. Starting from the check in, being welcomed by the staff and a fresh drink. Introduction to the facility. Our luggage was dropped in our room by friendly stuff and whenever we asked for something, it was delivered promptly. The dining facilities also deserve a 5*. The food is very good quality and served thoughtfully. The only thing I didn’t like was the portions size of some meals. Too small for my hunger heh. We felt very welcome by all the stuff! The resort is very clean. The beaches are stunning! They also have someone watching after in case anything goes bad… The sustainability is also important in this hotel which I highly value and appreciate! When we were leaving, the stuff showed up a sign saying bye to us and waving which made me feel so emotional. I can’t wait to save some money and be back there again! It has shaped my picture of Maldives and wherever I go it’s just not what I expect :) Thank you Saii Lagoon Staff!

We stayed at the Hilton SAii Lagoon for our honeymoon, and the experience was unforgettable. The service was the true standout—kind, custom, and genuinely warm from every single person we interacted with, from hotel staff to restaurant teams. It deserves to be mentioned first, even though the ocean views and incredible snorkeling were absolutely breathtaking. The connectivity between the resort, the wide variety of restaurants, and the neighboring property made everything feel seamless and elevated our stay. The food across the board was top class. A very special thank you to Manuel and Hassa, the Chef and Bartender at the Elephant and Butterfly Restaurant. Your hospitality, friendliness, and personal touches made us feel truly welcome and added something special to our honeymoon. We hope to see you all again someday soon!

Our stay at Sai Lagoon, my third resort experience in the Maldives, offered a mixed experience compared to previous trips. The short 20-minute transfer time from the airport is excellent. However, the airport welcome staff seemed extremely uninterested in receiving us. Their laid-back manner made the service feel more like a local taxi pickup than a resort welcome. The resort's unique design, sprawling over multiple islands, felt like a small, self-contained city. The Marina, in particular, was spectacular like something out of a movie set, featuring impressive architecture and excellent design. Our room was great; the attached pool was perfect for our stay, and housekeeping maintained high standards. Although we had a minor issue with the AC sensor, an electrician was available instantly upon calling. The children's play zone was a hit with our three year old, and we visited it almost every day during our four day trip. On the downside, the beach wasn't the best we've experienced in the Maldives, nor was the coral the most spectacular for snorkeling. Also, taking a stroll is almost like walking through a busy street due to the immense number of buggies rushing by. The service quality was a major point of concern. The staff lacked the warmth we've experienced at other Maldivian resorts; they seemed either less experienced or simply uninterested in serving guests. While there were exceptions, the general atmosphere felt noticeably cold. The diverse and plentiful dining options across the Marina were a highlight, easily booked in advance thanks to the dedicated resort app. Overall, while this wasn't the best Maldivian holiday we've had, the experience was justifiable given the resort's competitive price point.

4.5/5 stars Absolutely loved my stay at SAii Lagoon Maldives! The resort is massive, thanks to its tie-up with Hard Rock and The Marina, offering an incredible experience. With 8 restaurants to choose from (after prior reservation), you'll never go hungry! Although the food options are good, vegetarian options could be more. The water activities are amazing, including free paddle boating and kayaking, and chargeable activities like parasailing and snorkeling. The infinity pool is TO DIE FOR! The resort is impeccably planned and maintained, with spacious, luxurious rooms and plenty of chill spots to soak in the ocean views. However, the service could be a bit more responsive, especially when it comes to requests. Overall, a superb experience and would definitely recommend for a dreamy holiday!
