Celebrated our first wedding anniversary at Sailors Thai last night. We had high expectations and were really looking forward to the dinner, as we got married in Thailand and love Thai food.
Unfortunately we were not impressed. Food was average, mains were way too spicy, service was slack. And this all comes with a big price tag.. so can't recommend it.

This is one of my fallback places for a casual bite to eat out in the city. The food is consistently good—try the pork belly. They had happy hour prices for beer and wine when we were there, around 6pm. Tables are communal and quite noisy, so it's not good if you want to have a private conversation. There are a few seats on the balcony but these have always been full when I've been there. A great find in the heart of The Rocks, without a huge price tag to match.

Located on George Street just up from the Overseas Passenger Terminal, this is a cute little restaurant in a very touristy area.
The food was delightful and delicious. The service was fast and prompt. We didn't have to wait long after ordering.
Seating - there is a long communal table which is cool, but we had very rowdy neighbours either side - so I wouldn't go for intimate dining.
Being in The Rocks the prices were more expensive than your usual Thai prices.
However it was a fun experience and well worth going and enjoying the delightful food.

I enjoyed the experience in the downstairs dining room. The service is good, but I felt several dishes were too salty. The stand-out dishes for me are the delectably soft and unctuous pork belly curry, and the sticky rice mango dessert.

Love this place, especially the relaxed upstairs long-table restaurant. Open kitchen and communal buzz make for an upbeat dinner. Have been coming here for years and food remains a consistent high quality, arguably the best thai in Sydney. Old favourites such as the papaya salad continue to appear with new dishes regularly pushing forward the sweet, salty, sour and hot flavour balance that makes every dish a winner. Some will argue it is expensive but the food is world class in a setting that could only be Sydney. Get a seat outside if you can, eat as much as you can get in you and walk it off after a meal round one of the greatest harbours in the world. Magic...

Located next to the passenger terminal on Circular Quay, the Canteen offers an essential menu.
But please do not mistake essential for poor!
I think we tried almost all their dishes and my favourites still remains the green papaya salad and the green beef curry.
The staff is very professional, knowledgeable and share a genuine passion for their food and their tradition.

Ate at their tent in Argyle Street at Vivid last night. Grilled chicken with satay sauce and cucumber. It was disgusting. We were starved and wanted something tasty. Instead we got a plate of greasy chicken fat smothered in cold thick satay sauce with some sliced cucumber and a random half slice of white sliced pan. Weird dish. When I returned it 5 minutes later I was confronted by a rude man who was putting the dishes together. He defended it and didn't offer me my money back nor an alternative dish or apology. Seriously, they have to have tasted how bad it was. Will never chance it there again, plus my partner had a pain in his stomach after it.

Came here with a friend for a catch up dinner mid-week and loved it. We sat on the communal table which i didn't mind because the place was no overcrowded at all and we had about 2 seats either side of us. We shared about 5 dishes and i have to say the prawn in betal leaves was an absolute favourite and you can't go past the jungle curry. Expensive place to come but the food was authentic, delicious and quick to come out.
