Sails Restaurant

Wanted to take the opportunity to visit Sails Restaurant for dinner as I only had one night in Carnarvon. Had a good impression the first time I stepped into the Restaurant, looked inviting, fine dining and clean. Took a little while for someone to greet me at the cashier desk (looked like there was only one staff on duty - at no fault of the staff member). Was seated at a small round table and given the menu. The Pork Wellington caught my eye so I ordered this and a side salad. I also got a house red wine which was good (I appreciate the attention that went into selecting a good house red for customers). Pork Wellington looked amazing when it arrived, plating looked pretty, colourful and fresh. Taste wise for me was abit average - tasted more like a pork sausage roll. Roast potatoes and mushroom sauce was good. Side salad also looked amazing and tasted fresh, I thought the dressing was too heavy though. Service wise I can't fault, for the only waitperson that was on duty that evening, I thought that she did an amazing job serving about 20+ customers (greeting, taking orders, making drinks, bringing out food and handing the cashier - all done by one staff member). Something else I noticed was the ambience - no background music made it a little awkward as I could hear everything people was talking about. I saw speakers on the walls so maybe it the music wasn't turned on. Overall though, I don't mind going back to Sails the next time I stop by Carnarvon.

The Curry of the Week was absolutely divine! The flavors were amazing and perfectly balanced. The staff were warm and attentive, making my visit even more enjoyable. I couldn't be happier with my experience and highly recommend this place to anyone passing through Carnarvon.

Partner and I just had dinner here on our way back from Exmouth holiday, got the laksa special and it was the best one I have ever had. If you see this on the menu go for it and enjoy! She got the steak and it was cooked perfectly medium rare and super juicy. Staff were friendly and food came out really quick. Would recommend this as THE place to eat out when visiting Carnarvon!

I would like to thank all the service staff, The kitchen staff and the chefs for a beautiful meal that i enjoyed tonight. I had the fish of the day, and it was beautiful. Thankyou to the chef who came and talked to us. Would highly recommend. 👍

Dined here after reading TripAdvisor reviews. I will be honest overall it was ok. Server was not that knowledgeable. Recommendations were about 2 things on the menu, could not tell me the origin of the steak for the fillet. We started with the coconut prawns. They were alright. My son had the cheese garlic bread which he really enjoyed Mains both son and I had the chicken curry which was very mild. It was flavoursome and alright Wife had the pork belly which wasn’t crispy, flavour was really good as was the salad and sauce. Wine list was ok, maybe not the premium league we are used to but drinkable- we went for the alkoomi. Overall a 3/5 dining experience. Perfectly fine if staying at the best western but average food quality.

The seafood chowder was super. The Laksa noodles was abit too little, but tasty. The lamp chop was good but quantity can be better. Overall, nice experience and good food.

Excellent meal, my wife is a Chef and I reckon she would definitely rate this restaurant highly! Not to mention the fantastic service, Sails makes dining a pleasure! Cheers 🍻

Lovely customer service and staff members were friendly! Our food came out quick and tasted delicious! Ordered the French braised chicken (sauce was fabulous) and the scotch fillet! Was perfect as we arrived bit late in town but was craving a good meal and they are open later than many other food places!
