"Lauded for privacy, exclusivity, and safety, not to mention some of the most pristine beaches and turquoise waters in the world, LGBTQIA+ travelers are increasingly finding themselves drawn to this little Caribbean island’s big, welcoming spirit. With ties to France and the Netherlands, St. Bart’s became one of the first Caribbean islands to legalize same sex marriage by proxy in 2013, and the country also offers protections against discrimination for LGBTQIA+ people. Its queer positivity can best be seen on display at Saline Beach, located on the island’s southern coast, an increasingly popular LGBTQIA+ and nudist beach, as well as at Hotel Manapany. Recently acquired and revamped in late 2019, this eco lodge-style property is the island’s premier gay-friendly resort in favor with couples seeking luxe accommodations. Discerning foodies and oenophiles are also drawn to the island’s top tier food scene, which is highlighted during the St. Barts Gourmet Festival, a popular event taking place each November." - Travel + Leisure Editors

I recently visited Gustavia Harbor in St. Barts, and it was an incredible experience! The harbor is picturesque, with crystal-clear waters and a beautiful backdrop of charming buildings. The facilities are top-notch, providing everything a traveler might need. The staff were friendly and helpful, making the docking process smooth and efficient. A special shoutout to the 'St. Barts Travel Guide' by Robert Rio, which I purchased on Amazon. This guide was invaluable in helping me navigate the area, find the best dining spots, and learn about the rich history of Gustavia. Highly recommend both the harbor and the guide for anyone planning a visit!

Went for a day, it’s GORGEOUS! Crystal clear waters, unlike Sint Maarten. Very fancy, nice for shopping, eating or just beach day. Took the ferri (wild ride).

Beautiful island. Gustavia is a great little town which you can visit in a single day or a couple of days depending on how fast or slow you want to take it all in. Shell beach is just at the end of town and is a great little stop after walking around town. The airport is also quite a sight. Plan have to go up the hill then force themselves back down in order to touch down. Baie saint Jean is right at the end of the runway and is a nice but windy beach. Good place for windsurfing, tanning or admiring the prop planes landing and taking off.

One of the jewel of the Caribbean sea. For some known for a werry small airport and for some of the popular hotels, resorts and beach clubs. Anyhow the island is heaving all you need. Locals are always welcoming. Food is mainly European-French style, but there is other types of the restaurants menus for all tastes. Highly recomended to add it at your bucket list.

This is one of my favorite places on Earth. Really chill in the off season, and a lot less expensive as well. I prefer staying in a villa, but the island has lots of nice hotels. Super lux shopping and lots of beaches to choose from.

Great place but didn’t overall love the food… Of course it’s very expensive.
