This hotel ( converted convent from 1500’s) is 10 Stars! We are walking the Camino and this is a favorite of all time. From the minute we entered, we knew it was special. The receptionists Ana and Vanessa helped book a much needed massage, arranged a cab to our next town ( a hurricane type of storm happened) and were so welcoming. This building has been restored to perfection, yet kept the ancient touches of art and furniture and we felt privileged to stay here. Our room was perfect, from the huge bathroom/shower, comfortable beds and pillows. |We loved the breakfast and different areas we could relax in. |We would recommend this highly to everyone.

This weary pilgrim and fellow wandered in this afternoon and were warmly welcomed by a lovely receptionist who couldn't have been nicer. We were then treated to a complimentary glass of Port and a fine pastry. This hotel is a gem. The high point of our camino thus far. It's as if someone has trusted us to mind a museum for the night! It's just beautiful. If anyone is old enough to remember the convent where the Von Trapp family were secreted in the Sound of Music, that's the vibe.

This charming hotel is a converted convent, seamlessly blends historic artifacts with modern design. The well-maintained rooms are spacious, well-lit, and clean, offering a comfortable and contemporary stay. This is a perfect and relaxing stay after several nights sleeping in albergues. Check-in starts at 2:30 PM.

We stayed here at the start of our Camino only for 1 night but wished we had stayed longer. A beautiful building full of history in a prime position in A Guarda … our room was spacious with a view of the court yard and an amazing shower and bath … breakfast was fresh and lovely and staff very helpful

Steeped in history, Hotel Convento de San Benito wasn't just a hotel, it was a unique experience. Our rooms exuded a charming ambiance, whispering tales of the convent's past. Beyond the atmosphere, the staff truly impressed. They were incredibly helpful, attending to our every need with genuine care. To top it all off, the food was fantastic! We left the hotel feeling not just rested, but thoroughly satisfied by our stay at Hotel Convento de San Benito.

Amazing hotel on the sea front. Perfect after a long Camino walk. No restaurant or bar but plenty near by.
