Saint-Eloi’s Church was burnt in 1558 and nearly destroyed by French troops. Early 1560 the city decided to rebuild the church and assigned master- builder, Jean de Renneville, to restore it. The church was rebuilt with Gothic flamboyant style, then enlarged and increased solidity by another architect. The major restoration were necessary after the damage caused by the two world wars, the last one ended in 1985.

I visited the tower to catch the view, which is amazing. You can see the city and the sea from the top. Also there are photos and information indicating the buildings you are viewing from the top(very good to note where you are heding next. There is an escalator which takes you 5 floors up and then you have to climb a couple of steps
