Fabulous... 1st time trying here, it did not disappoint 👏 warm welcome, grand & decadent decor, food really good & value for money. Small plates that suited us, hence why I choose to dine here. Alcohol, always drlish but the Hugo Spritz was very tasty & refreshing 😋... 10/10 for everything... and a major shout out to Grant, who could not have treated us any more special. Fabulous gentlemen

My son and i went for breakfast and we absolutely loved it. I went for the eggs Florentine and he went for classic french toast. Both were delicious. The poached eggs were perfect. Polite and prompt service. We hadn't booked but managed to get a table ok. It was our first time visiting and it won't be our last.

Came here for brunch on Fair Weekend. It was a pleasant experience; the service was good, and I found the brunch food typical but tasty. The decor and vibe are the daytime equivalent of a cocktail bar (i.e., Hutchesons’ Hall). The prices were reasonable too. Would come here again.

Popped in here for brunch on the off chance of getting a table on a Wednesday afternoon without booking, and we did. Lovely decor inside, service was very friendly and welcoming, food was absolutely delicious, really tasty and well presented. The almond croissants were massive. For where this place is, prices are very reasonable, compared to other places we have been to.

We had the strangest experience here. My friend and I booked in advance a table for 2 to dine in. We came to the door, and were told we need to wait outside. Eventually a security guard let us in and told us to wait at the front reception/bar area. After a while we were then told we could go upstairs and were directed to wait at the top of the stairs. We waited, and no one came. Eventually we were taken over to a seat at the bar (the place was half empty) and given cocktail menus only. We waited a bit and were eventually given food menus after asking. The vibe of the room was strange, whilst it was extremely beautiful, there was a DJ playing really loudly in the corner when there was hardly anyone in the room, which made it really difficult to hear. There were also girls swinging and pulling on the curtains which felt a little odd. We were left to browse the menu and the waiter came over and told us the food wait would be over an hour as they had a big table they were going to prioritise. My friend and I just got up and left after that - given the money we would have spent on some of the dishes the least we could have asked for was decent service... Particularly where we had booked in advance too. I'm sad that was my impression of this place given it had been on my bucket list to visit.

I adore this establishment; it's perfect for enjoying expertly crafted cocktails and socializing or for a delightful dining experience, as the food is superb. I've always had a wonderful time here. The staff are attentive, and the leisurely drink service enhances the calm, relaxed ambience, particularly when there's live music in the upstairs bar. The interior design alone is worth a visit.

As a huge fan of the sister venue the devils roast had high hopes but honestly would not return. Sat for a good 15/20 minutes and despite the same staff member constantly passing couldn’t get anyone to take our order, had to get up to approach them to order. Noticed we were the only table who were not automatically given table water. Overall just felt really uncomfortable and not very welcome. They added the discretionary service charge to our bill for two coffees which we paid as I would not make a scene to ask for it to be removed but the service was poor as we weren’t even asked if we would like sugar or anything, not even a question of was your coffee okay.

We thoroughly enjoyed our brunch food and experience here on a quiet Saturday morning. I ordered the Avocado toast and my poached egg was perfect, as was the seasoning in the smashed avocado. Hubby ordered the poached egg dish with black pudding (can’t remember the name) and same - it was delicious! Our cappuccinos were good as well and the service was friendly and quick. At around £10 per plate with a beautiful setting and ambience, this is a go-to brunch spot for us.
