Delicious food & attentive service. The deep-fried tempura ice cream was a must have. For me the atmosphere was a little lack lustre and there were a lot of mosquitos around.

Roll dishes, jokbal, and chicken were all so delicious. This restaurant has a good atmosphere both day and night. The salad served as an appetizer is very lovely. Cabbage kimchi is the best!

Had a great lunch today. When we arrived it was raining, the waiters came out with umbrellas to make sure we didn't get wet. We had a warm welcome. Sushi was excellent, along with the Japanese tea. Service excellent as well. Will definitely return.

Great time at Sakae. Sushi was tasty. Dishes are big. We ordered a lunch box, pork dish and Sushi and was too much for 2 people. Really great food and service.

Nice place with high ceiling, nice views and an outdoor area. The kimchi was good, the miso soup was not to my taste. The beef bibimbap was average. The meat, although cut in small pieces, had some small bones which was unpleasant. Service was somehow slow but staff is nice. To my opinion, it’s too expensive for what it is but I still had a good experience.

This is one of my favourite spots for Japanese food in Kigali. They serve the best Sushi and Sashimi in this locality. Other interesting dishes include Udon, Donburi, Gyoza and Korean Fried chicken. All the orders come with a complimentary salad and miso soup. Sakae is the only place now providing Teppanyaki in the country, although the skills of the cook is no longer as it used to be and the price has gone up.They no longer do the juggling acts with Eggs which were very entertaining. However, I still love their bento lunch and dinner boxes 😋. They also serve Korean and Chinese food (PAN CHINA Menu). I wish they also served Ramen (Decent Ramen is available at Japanda Restaurant). Its so yum! I had placed an order for delivery and the kigali fried chicken were still warm when I received. I ordered 1/2 of each, still the portion is so generous! Its better than any fast food chain, esp the sweet spicy fried chicken.
