I recently dined at Sakari Sushi, and I can confidently say it was an amazing experience from start to finish! The sushi was absolutely delicious, fresh, and beautifully presented. Each roll was a perfect blend of flavors that left us wanting more. What truly made our visit special was our waiter, Jon. He was incredibly accommodating and went above and beyond to ensure we had a great meal. His knowledge of the menu was impressive, and he provided excellent recommendations based on our preferences. It was clear he genuinely cares about his customers’ experience. The ambiance of the restaurant was inviting, making it a perfect spot for a special night out or a casual meal. I can't wait to return to Sakari Sushi and enjoy more of their fantastic food and service. Highly recommend!

Google
Exceptional quality of food and service. One of the best sushi restaurants in Orlando area. Service is excellent, everyone is friendly and welcoming. Fish is always fresh, sushi is delicious. We ordered two of the chefs special rolls. Lemon flavored is my favorite, I had to come back here twice for the lemon roll. Overall 10/10, will definitely come back.

Our very favorite place to get sushi - recently refreshed, inside has a clean, modern vibe, or there is an outdoor space as well. We often order and pick up to eat at home - always fresh and delicious. If you are headed to Regal for a movie or just wanting to shop at all the cute shops at this completely refreshed outdoor mall, make sure to stop by here for lunch or dinner. New on the menu and totally a must try are the Brussels sprouts with peach balsamic glaze. Service is always spot on and incredibly accommodating.

Google
We ordered delivery from Sakari Sushi and, the food was very fresh and delicious. The rolls that we ordered were a proper bitesize and there was enough variety to choose from.

Katsu Ramen had Tasted like if it had chicken noodle soup, veggie tempura was very oily then normal Japanese tempura. for this price point, I would expect much more from the food and presentation.

Haven't been here since this location was the original Seito Sushi. Nice looking place inside and out, but more fancy than cozy. Tables seem a bit close; wouldn't want to eat here on a busy night. Nice long bar if you like eating at the bar. Some outdoor seating. Definitely more of an American than Japanese sushi joint in terms of offerings, style, and ownership. Sushi was pretty good, but not worth the price tag imnsho. Tons of roll choices, all pricey. Some flavors complement better than others. Preparation time was good. Bento was very pricey, which was odd. Large portion of seaweed salad, which was a nice. Green tea tasted pretty good, even if not loose leaf, but went cold quick. In addition to economy, prices are probably inflated due to location, convenience and high rent. Convenient if your movie group wants sushi, otherwise there are better choices in Orlando.

Google
This is by far the best sushi experience I have had in the greater Orlando area. The service has always been exceptional. Ricky had great recommendations for me and had a great vibe. The rolls are works of art. The location is great for people watching as well.

Sakari Sushi stands out as one of the best sushi restaurants in the Winter Park area. The quality of the fish is impeccable, ensuring fresh, flavorful bites every time. The food, from special rolls to sashimi and even the miso soup and salad, is consistently delicious and satisfying. The staff are friendly and attentive, creating a warm, inviting atmosphere that makes the dining experience even more enjoyable. Each dish is thoughtfully prepared and presented, showcasing the care and skill of the chefs. Whether you're a sushi aficionado or new to Japanese cuisine, Sakari Sushi offers a memorable meal with its variety and quality. We'll definitely be back for more of their incredible food and welcoming service.

Yelp
Sakari Sushi in Winter Park Village is a fantastic spot for sushi lovers! While it's a little on the pricey side, the quality of the sushi and drinks definitely justifies it. The service is always excellent, and the location is prime, perfect for a nice meal out. The sushi here is top tier, with fresh ingredients and beautifully crafted rolls that are sure to impress. One of my favorites is the Mexican Roll, my wife loves their Triple Tail roll. We recently tried their lunch special, which was a decent deal, two rolls with miso soup for $20. They had other good options, all around that price point. I would recommend for lunch or dinner, and the ambiance adds to the overall experience.

Allison R.

Yelp
Delicious and very fresh sushi. Everything we tasted was amazing, and the rolls were unique. I especially loved the Chef's Exclusive with the addition of the truffle oil. It complimented the fish perfectly. The rolls were a bit pricey but you're in Winter Park so we expected to pay a bit more. We almost left because we waited a good ten minutes to even be greeted by a server, and the restaurant wasn't busy at all. A number of servers passed right by us without even acknowledging us, and that bothered me a lot. I'm glad we stuck with it because of how tasty the sushi was. Once our server finally came over, she apologized and was very nice, but service was still a bit slow. Luckily it's right next door to the movie theatre so we made our movie right in the nick of time.

Yelp
We had a great experience at Sakari Sushi on a busy Friday night! The restaurant was pretty busy for dinner so I'd highly recommend making a reservation if you're coming with a larger group. We opted to sit at the bar, which turned out to be a great choice for grabbing a drink and enjoying a roll. The bartender was fantastic--friendly and attentive. The sushi rolls were not only delicious but also beautifully presented. Each roll had 8 pieces, and with prices ranging from $14 to $20+, you definitely get what you pay for in quality and taste. Sakari Sushi is a standout spot in Winter Park Village, especially with all the recent renovations.

Yelp
We came in for lunch and had a great experience. The interior is beautiful and service was amazing. We got three roles: the ceviche roll, the rock and roll, and a third role with shrimp and salmon. Each roll was well crafted and the ingredients were so fresh. Everything we got was amazing, but the ceviche roll was my favorite. This is one of my favorite sushi spots!

John A.

Yelp
Stopped in and got take out. Got steamed dumplings that was just ok. Got the wagyu nigiri which costed a little bit but the taste and flavor was on point. My entree was the chicken katsu, the flavor of the breading was very good and tasty. They gave you 2 decent filet and rice. The dipping sauce was unusual but good. The staff was great while I was waiting for the food. I will be back

Carolina F.

Yelp
The location is great, modern interior. Small and cozy, allowing for an intimate dining experience and very good attention. Pricing is appropriate for the area, though portions were small. I left still hungry, but didn't want to spend another $20 on a roll. The service, I must say, was incredible. The manager walked over multiple times to check on us and bring us items/clear our table. Very hands on, and I can appreciate that as a patron and I am sure the workers appreciate it too! Our server was very friendly and his recommendations were great!

Michelle S.

Yelp
I used to come here when I was in high school and college when it was called Seito. It was nice to come back after so long and see it still a great place with excellent sushi. The inside has had a significant upgrade since a decade ago and I loved how bright it was.

Alessandra C.

Yelp
Everything about this place was spot on: the location, the food, the service, the playlist, and the ambiance. If you're craving delicious sushi paired with a more upscale and modern environment, I can't recommend it enough. The salmon Crudo appetizer was my favorite, with great flavor combination and texture. Just a heads-up: this mall quite busy on Friday and Saturday nights, so I strongly recommend arriving before if gets dark or 15 minutes prior to your reservation time to make sure you are able to find parking timely.

Yelp
Let me start off by saying this place surprised me. It's tucked away in Winter Park Village with tons of other restaurants but this place is truly a hidden gem. I stopped by for the happy hour to try a few of the appetizers. The service is excellent, from the moment you walk in until you leave, the wait staff is very attentive, kind, and accommodating. It is absolutely beautiful inside! This restaurant is clean and quant with unique art work. It looks very upscale inside for a nice dinner but it is also a place you can chill and unwind for happy hour. Now to the food! These appetizers were amazing! I ordered the polar bear roll, pork belly baos, and Korean fried chicken wings. The polar bear roll had a nice lite crunch on the outside and very tasty on the inside. The bao's were soft and moist and the sauce on it was exploding with flavor. The Korean fried chicken wings were tasty and crisp with the perfect amount of sauce. They all were equally delicious but if I had to choose the polar bear sushi roll was my favorite. They have really good happy hours deals Monday-Thursday. This is definitely one of my favs and I only had happy hour so far. I can only imagine how the dinner tastes. This place is definitely a must visit and one of my go to's in this area.

Yelp
Winter Park-Probably some of the most delicious sushi I have encountered in a very long time! Had lunch with a GF and we were starving. Our waiter, Ricky, was outstanding with his knowledge of the menu and his recommendations. We appreciated his sweet and helpful demeanor as well. We shared the tempura avocado. We scarfed it so fast I almost forgot a pic!!! Delicious! The Rock & Roll and the VIP rolls. Everything about each ingredient was so fresh and tasty. We were still craving MORE so we had the cinnamon soy pork belly too! Delicious as well. Top it off with 2 glasses of vino and we were happy little campers. Their menu had an outstanding selection of various combos for their rolls. You never really get such different choices at the usual sushi spots. We will ABSOLUTELY be back. Ask for Ricky. He's THE BOMB!!

Aaron M.

Yelp
Came for a quick work lunch and was not disappointed. The menu had plenty of options for bento boxes, hibachi, sushi and daily specials. I went with the chicken wings that had a sticky sweet and smoky sauce (and this fun plate design) as well as a couple pieces of fresh sake nigiri. The salmon was so tender and was a nice refreshing bite to build the appetite before the wings. The service was extremely attentive and very welcoming. Would highly recommend returning.

Judith D.

Yelp
The hubs and I stopped here for a quick bite after the movies Hubs loves sushi so it was so convenient to stop here because it's just right next to the movie theater. Once inside the host was very welcoming and was also our server. She was great! Very friendly and helpful whenever we had a question about the menu or needed additional service. I was impressed with the decor. Very clean and relaxing with the mix of neutral colors and just a touch of vibrant reds. Very beautiful. I ordered the 2 pork belly bao. Pork belly was nice and fatty and the relish was cool and crisp. Perfect combination for me. The hubs had the ramen with pork belly and enjoyed it. The Mango Lobster Maki, highly recommended by the server was nicely served and very fresh. Lobster fritters similar to a lobster croquette topped the freshly made maki rolls layered with tart mango slices. Really good! Lastly I had the vanilla creme brûlée and I have to say that it was delicious! Creamy , crunchy top and a nice vanilla taste which made me believe they used vanilla paste and not extract. Nicely done! We will definitely return ! That's all for now!

Yelp
When I arrived at the restaurant it was not busy at all, but you can tell they were understaffed. I was greeted and told to give them a minute and then they'd seat me which was fine. Once I was seated I asked for water and was told they'd be right back, but I sat there for almost 15-20 minutes before someone came back and asked me if I was ready to order and if I wanted a drink. When I put in my order I got one of the rolls from the chef's specials menu and a roll off their traditional menu. It took around 30 minutes to receive my rolls. I felt like I kept getting forgotten about because once I received my food no one came to check to see how I enjoyed it until I was already almost done. The restaurant itself was nice and clean. The food was okay, but I'm in no rush to return.

Yelp
I used to come to this place all the time years ago when I lived nearby. It has been so long, but we were in Winter Park Village, and decided to stop in for dinner. They still had a happy hour menu available, so we got to try some nice appetizers for cheap prices. We got the salmon ponzu, hamachi crudo, and lemon garlic edamame. The happy hour portions aren't the full portion size, but for like $6-7 each, you get to try some good stuff. We also ordered the ceviche roll and twin dragon roll. The twin dragon had tempura eel inside, topped with torched escolar. We both really liked that roll. The ceviche roll had yellow tail with cucumber, lime and micro cilantro. Everything tasted really fresh and delicious. The restaurant was clean with some updated decor, and our server was very nice. It wasn't very busy when we got there, and it didn't take very long for us to get our food.

Kelli L.

Yelp
Stopped in for a nice lunch. No wait at 1pm! We got lucky! First time here so we asked for recommendations from our server. She was helpful and friendly and everyone here is very attentive. Excellent service in a sparkling clean establishment. So many options (such as large menu- a regular menu, lunch menu, and 2 "weekend special" menus. I asked the server about the lobster skewer special ($25). She advised an appetizer lobster special. We agreed. It was tasty as was the sauce on the side, however was absolutely not worth the cost. Maybe 2 bites in total. (Apparently also $25). I ordered the lunch steak bulgogi bento box ($17). It came with miso soup, ginger salad, 3 gyoza, white rice, 4 pieces of California roll, and a large serving of beef. This was an amazing value and everything was fresh and delicious!!! My daughter ordered the 2 sushi roll combo ($23) and had the Ichiban and the spicy tuna roll (requested no cucumbers). The spicy tuna came with avocado on top (which we didn't realize) so it was not her favorite lunch. Though it was all fresh-it was not her taste. We had 2 waters and with the tip, our lunch was about $80. We both left very full and are sure to be back. The service and food were excellent-check them out!

Dj L.

Yelp
Delicious rolls here for lunch! Special was $18 for 2 rolls including miso soup. Little more expensive than some other places but the quality was good! Probably one of best Miso Soups I've had!! Spicy tuna roll was delicious as was the Mexican roll. Everything came out quick and at the same time. Service was friendly, upbeat and timely! Will definitely come back and recommend to friends!

Ann C.

Yelp
I like the lunch time tag team service. It makes the place run more efficiently. The vibe and music were enjoyable. The clear both soup was more enjoyable than the name implies as it really liked the onions in it. The popeye maki roll was amazing! I will definitely come back with the family.

Janet K.

Yelp
Clean restaurant. Went there on a Saturday for lunch. No wait, was seated right away. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. We ordered pan fried gyoza and mixed tempura for appetizer. Pretty good, standard taste. We split a moriwase and 4 rolls. Sushi was okay. I think if I were in the area and craved sushi, I'd stop in but I probably wouldn't come here for any special reason other than convenience.

john j.

Yelp
A super cute sushi spot with so many incredible options. They have amazing rolls, fantastic bento boxes and killer sushi. We came for lunch and tried a little bit of everything. Linda gave us some incredible recommendations based on our palette and everything she suggested was a home run with our dining party. Linda and the whole serving team were fantastic. We will be back for dinner and try the omakase the next time we are visiting the Orlando area.

Shaelyn M.

Yelp
The service at Sakari Sushi was top-notch! The host gave us a warm welcome right off the bat. We opted for outdoor seating because it was a nice night but inside looked clean and fun. We were served by Britney, who was fantastic! She gave us some great suggestions for food and sake. We kicked off with a sparkling berry sake. It was pretty sweet, but definitely tasty. For starters, we went with the Heat roll, which was spicy, fresh, and SO delicious. Moving on to the main course, we both opted for bento boxes. Each box came with two mains, miso soup, rice, 3 fried gyoza, and a salad with ginger dressing. I chose the teriyaki salmon and spicy tuna rolls. Everything was amazing, and the portions were quite generous. Despite feeling stuffed, we couldn't resist trying the rum cake for dessert. It was incredibly indulgent and chocolatey - we polished off the entire thing! Overall, it was a delightful dining experience! Great food, vibes and service.

Linnea E.

Yelp
I recently visited Sakari Sushi with some friends for dinner before catching a movie and we had a great time! The restaurant itself is very clean with a good atmosphere and the service was great - our waiter was very attentive and everything came out very quickly! When we let him know we were headed to a movie, he brought out the check fast so that we wouldn't be late. The sushi was all amazing - I had a couple of the specialty maki rolls and my friend (who doesn't like raw fish) had plenty of options to choose from as well including some good vegetarian options.

Daniel F.

Yelp
Fantastic and fresh. My wife and I got a variety of rolls I can't remember, but I can say they had a great selection of sushi rolls that my wife could eat even though she has a dairy and soy allergy (our baby actually does). I recommend a visit.

Diana P.

Yelp
Terrible service. Sat immediately, family came after myself and order was taken as soon as they sat down. Sat there for twenty mins. Both servers looked in my direction and proceeded to ignore. This is after the lunch rush. Called the severs several times. Food for other tables are sitting at the sushi bar waiting to be served. Walked out.

Michael U.

Yelp
We are regulars here and try to go during non-peak times for even better service. They never disappoint and the food is the best in the area. They use quality ingredients and it shows!

Alexandrea F.

Yelp
My husband and I come here semi-regularly as we live nearby and are never disappointed. Last night we decided to order the garlic butter edamame for an appetizer and loved it! We usually get the regular sea salt and it was a nice change. We also shared 3 rolls. The Ceviche roll (hot sauce on the side), Triple tail, and Twin Dragon roll. Our favorite was the twin dragon roll! The triple tail roll came with 6 pieces which was good for us, but it doesn't say that on the menu. Server was so friendly, we really enjoyed him! We will definitely be back!

Paul E.

Yelp
Wow, the sushi here is amazing. Great location, fast, pleasant helpful service. Great ambience. The four rolls I had were so creative and unique. Bluefin tuna with caviar and truffles. Lobster, A5 wagyu and gold flakes!

Liz A.

Yelp
My family and I visited for a birthday and we had the best time! Our waitress was named Kristina, she was super attentive, patient and friendly. Our party consisted of 8 people and we were sat immediately on a Sunday afternoon, no wait. We ordered our meals and they came out quickly (less than a 20 minute wait). Our meals included bento boxes, sushi, hibachi and dessert, the service was awesome considering everything that was ordered. I personally ordered the shrimp hibachi and it was amazing, the plate was huge and I had leftovers. I tried some of the sushi and bento boxes - just as great. The restaurant itself was clean and pretty quiet. I'm not sure about the ambiance on other evenings/nights but I recommend going on a Sunday, such a great experience.

Brittany K.

Yelp
While the service is top shelve here, the food is best described as forgettable. It's fine but mostly a stop of convenience as opposed to something I'd actively seek out. The real reason for the average rating boils down to pricing honestly. If they charged a reasonable price for the above average food, easily worthy of 4 stars but here we are. The sushi and hibachi are priced well above average and aren't delivering on stellar taste or portion as noted. I've had better in the winter park area. However, I do think it's a solid choice if you are catching a nearby movie at Regal. The surrounding area offers mostly chain restaurants so this is a nice choice if you were looking for something a bit more unique and don't want to travel far from the theater. But if you were looking for something on a budget-this isn't it. There's a casual pizza spot next door. I wouldn't be opposed to dining again after my next movie-albeit not my first choice the food is good enough to satisfy and the service really was great. Our server was extremely attentive and very friendly. My friend and I had a variety of food including salmon and steak hibachi and the ramen special.

Rob G.

Yelp
Went Sunday. No waiting, quick service. Pleasant ambience. Nice decor, wonderful seating! Food was very good!

Gordonia A.

Yelp
Sushi was fresh and delicious. Location is great walking distance to the Winter Park Regal theatre and many other shops. The service is the only thing that could improve - it's very slow and doesn't seem to have enough wait staff to take your order in adequate time. But still recommend to try their food because it's high quality and tasty!

Danielle N.

Yelp
We went here as a big group for a birthday and we had very good service. I had a hibachi steak and the steak was very tender and had pretty good portion, I would prefer of they had a ginger sauce which I thought was on the menu. My husband had two different sushi rolls and he really enjoyed both of them. I would definitely come back!

Lexi S.

Yelp
The customer service was great! The food was delicious and everything looked beautiful! Loved the vibes and decor of this place. The plating was stunning and made everything look mouthwatering. The only thing we didn't love was the carrot cake, had a little bit of a weird taste to us.

Hannah M.

Yelp
the fish was very fresh i recommend. the picture shows red sea roll (bottom) rock and roll (top)

Alyssa R.

Yelp
Filling portion size for lunch. Loved the ginger dressing they make for the salad. Fresh ingredients. Nice patio. Fast service. They also have a happy hour. Will def be back

Kurt K.

Yelp
I am not sure what to say about a place that wants to be top shelf but just is not....small portions, high prices and to be honest a bit stuffy for being next to a movie theatre. The Katsu was good but my roll was tiny and the app was smaller. No value for the cost....check out the photos.....

Lindsey H.

Yelp
I cannot say one negative thing about this place even after years of coming. The food and the staff are absolutely phenomenal(especially Ricky)! I came in today and they now have liquor with some amazing specialty cocktails. We tried the Summer Shade martini, the Afternoon on Osaka, and the yuzu Margarita. All were delicious, we can't wait to try more. As always, thank you Sakari you will forever be our favorite sushi spot

Shayna G.

Yelp
One of my favorite sushi spots! There rolls are next level!! And the service is very attentive and nice. The only thing I would say is the clear soup broth tasted watered down. The ambiance is very nice and they have a nice outside area where you can eat on the winter park village strip.

Liz P.

Yelp
Went here on a week night with a friend. Parked in the lot behind the Publix, which was super easy and just a short walk from the Restaurant entrance. We shared the garlic edamame and the pork belly appetizers, plus a bottle of sake. Then we had a few rolls for dinner (mango tango, spicy basil, and ultimate spicy tuna I believe) plus a bottle of Sauvignon Blanc. Our server Brittany was wonderful and gave us great recommendations. The only thing I'd personally change about this place is that the vibe overall is nice, but it could be a little trendier. But overall, no complaints and I would go here again. Glad I tried it!

Kadeem S.

Yelp
The food was really good, i have have better bulgogi in the city but i would definitely recommend and would return myself. The service was nice and very attentive, the booths were a tad small for me comfort

Cindee P.

Yelp
My sister and her family took me here one night. Ricky took care of us and he's soooo super friendly and attentive. He made us feel like family. I ordered the mouth-watering oysters and the Twin Dragon roll. I shared with everyone and they shared their food and everything was amazing!

Nicole I.

Yelp
BEST SUSHI EVER. I have tried sushi from Savannah-Jacksonville-Orlando and this is the freshest, tastiest sushi I have ever had. I make sure to go every single time I'm in Orlando.

Tracey F.

Yelp
We had 30 minutes to eat and asked if it was possible . Our server was super fast and nice. Mom got a tempura shrimp bento box which was a ton of food . I loved that it had shrimp, veggies, won tons, salad and a sushi roll . Oh and started with miso soup. My mom's doctor is across the street so will definitely be trying their lunch specials again .

Max L.

Yelp
This foodie does not usually take the time to write reviews. Truffle tuna & Triple tail, Tiburon & Otoro rolls. Very fresh. Great service. This super clean and well run restaurant is a pleasure. We will be back, often.

Nicole D.

Yelp
Ordered the Torcha Maki crawfish roll and the chicken hibachi. The food and service was good, HOWEVER the pricing was wayyyyy overpriced. $25 for chicken hibachi is one thing, but the portion didn't compare to other local hibachi places like Kobe. Portion size is lacking for the price AND you don't even get a show. They make it in the back and bring it out to you. I feel like the chicken hibachi that they serve here is worth around $15-$17. The Torcha Maki roll was delicious. Highly recommend it. But if you're looking for affordable hibachi, go elsewhere. The restaurant was clean and welcoming.

Wally Z.

Yelp
Decided to check this place out on a whim as we live walking distance to Winter Park Village. We've always been curious about this place and we chose a Friday during lunchtime so it wasn't too busy. We were seated immediately in the outside patio, however we looked inside and the place was nicely decorated and inviting. Orders came out quick and our server was friendly. We both chose the bento lunch special which includes a miso soup, ginger salad, gyoza, steamed rice, and 1/2 California roll. My partner ordered the shrimp and vegetable tempura as her main option, while I opted for the chicken katsu. The tempura was crispy and hot and the katsu had the panko bread crumb coating one comes to expect with katsu. Both boxes had enough sides to fill us and we were satisfied to find a well-made Japanese lunch at an affordable price point.

Dani F.

Yelp
What a delightful lunch at this cute little sushi spot. I was very surprised by their sashimi selection. We started off with the fried rock shrimp, a must try! They taste like tiny lobsters. We also had all types of tuna, they melt in your mouth!! Ask for the premium soy sauce for that. The fattiest one is the O-toro (light pink) The rolls that truly stood out were the hot roll and the tiburon! Service was amazing, the bartender and the server worked together to give us a wonderful experience. Can't wait to come back and try the rest of the menu !

Gabrielle D.

Yelp
I have been coming here almost every weekend for a year and it NEVER disappoints. The service? Personal and amazing. The food? EXCEPTIONAL! The owner? Literally the nicest and most attentive person ever! I can't recommend Sakari enough. The Torch a Maki roll is quite possibly the best sushi roll I've ever had and their hot sake is just perfect to round out the meal. Come here if you like good food y'all.

Rasha N.

Yelp
Hands down the best sushi restaurant in all of orlando. We've been to the fanciest and the most casual of places and this one's got everyone beat, you just have to know what to order. Consistency is key, and honestly they take the cake. Service is always great, and in the event it's not they 100% own up to it. We absolutely love dining here as a family and for date nights.

Amanda S.

Yelp
Well couldn't be happier that I found Sakari and tried it out last night for the first time. It all started yesterday afternoon when I was having a severe sushi craving. I don't get off work until 8, so I was searching for a spot close to my house that would still be open. That's when I came across Sakari. Of course I read through reviews and pics before to get a feel for the place. Most yelpers had nothing but positive things to say, so I went for it, and boy am I ever so glad I did! I went around 9:15 and they close at 10:00 so I was worried about being "that person" that walks in right before closing. Most people were seated outside, but when we were greeted, we were invited to eat inside or out. The decor inside was stunning!! Pleasantly surprised from just seeing the outside, wasn't expecting what I would be walking into. They had nice ambiance lighting and large plush white leather tufted booths. Our waitress nice as could be and in no way annoyed we were coming in so late. She was very friendly, down to earth, and was very helpful navigating the menu. From beginning to end she was full of exuberance and provided excellent service. And for the best part ... the noms! I was famished walking into this place. I had literally been reading reviews and looking at pics right before going and was more than ready to get chowing down. We put in 3 rolls but also a Gyoza appetizer. The Gyoza came out super quick and was DELISH! Off to a wonderful start! I was extra excited when I saw the Chef's Specials menu. I typically always order something off here at a restaurant that offers one. They had a ceviche roll which I've heard some places have, but haven't gotten the opportunity to try it yet. I was all over it and beyond excited once I saw it. I ordered the Bubbalicious: Shrimp tempura, cream chs, topped with steamed shrimp, avocado, scallions and eel sauce. This one might be one of my favorite specialty rolls I've EVER HAD. The waitress says its a favorite there. All 3 rolls were good, but would've just ordered 3 of that one if I knew how tasty it was. We always try a spicy tuna roll of sorts. Ordered the Snow White: Spicy tuna, masago, scallion avo, topped with a crab salad (raw). It was yummy, but my least favorite of the 3. The ceviche roll was stellar. They even gave you a lime to squeeze to your liking. This was amazing, not used to tasting lime juice with sushi, but being ceviche it complimented it beautifully. The ceviche roll had: Spicy yellowtail, cucumber, fried garlic, red miso topped with Japanese madai, avo, and micro cilantro. Superb and a must try if it's available. I don't too often offer up a 5 star rating, but every single item we tried was terrific. The service was exemplary and the decor and atmosphere of the restaurant itself was lovely. I always say its a great restaurant when you are still there and are already anticipating your next trip. There wasn't one thing that was unsatisfactory, so I feel 5 stars is warranted. That was my feeling on Sakari and absolutely recommend checking it out. Might be your new go to, as I know it is now mine!
