On the Grid : Sushi House

"Literally a small bungalow that serves sushi, which is located within walking distance from Centro Ybor. Enjoy an intimate meal with delicious, moderately priced sushi and some of the nicest staff. Although they have the classics when it comes to sushi, Sushi House also crafts some of their own; definitely try the Lollipop roll or the firecracker roll!" - Harbr Co.

Literally the worst sushi I’ve ever had in my life. The sushi sounded good but was honestly disappointing. The actual fish pieces were tiny, just small bits of fish with avocado, lots of rice and tempura to make them look bigger in the photos. It was all outside presentation, no real flavor. It tasted like a soggy salmon bake, which was pretty gross. I also paid extra for cream cheese, and they didn’t even include it! I couldn’t finish it. The cold sushi was actually warm when it arrived, and the tempura was just a greasy filler, do not order anything tempura from here. It honestly felt like they might be using old fish, then frying it to cover it up. Makes sense why it’s always a BOGO deal on Instacart and Uber Eats. I love sushi, but this place is definitely not it.

Was forced to sit outside the night we went here because there was not enough tables; was not idle because there was a lot of flying sorcerers that bites. Did not wait for table inside because we were really tired and hangry. I only ordered fried rice w/ steak and my boyfriend ordered sushis. I love the fried rice but the meat was slightly chewy.

Yummy food, great price, friendly staff! It’s always busy in there… which is good:)

Honestly this is a hidden little gem. Don't let it's small space fool you. There was only one server seating and serving the patrons but, she was super fast. We tried a variety of items, all full of flavors and executed to perfection! My new favorite place for a quick bite!

I was just visiting the area and felt hungry. I came to this restaurant because they are open till 2AM! As I was waiting for a host to sit me, I noticed that they were pretty busy. Almost full house, but there were nonstop to go orders! I noticed that the service is a bit slow... since there were only 2 servers, and 1 of them is stuck doing to-go's, and another was running and doing everything else. The servers are not showing any care on what their doing because they are caught up on trying to run around. It would be better for another person or a manager to table touch. My orders were: Tuna tataki - I really like this item. It went really well with the chili flakes and tobiko. I wish it was sliced thinner. Volcano roll - tasty roll pretty big portion of imitation crab on top. Teriyaki beef - it was cooked well done, and the sauce was very sticky. The taste was good, especially since I paired it up with regular steamed rice. Miso soup was missing seaweed, tofu, and scallions... it literally didn't have much of anything.. As i was coming to the end of my meal, I saw that they actually had 4 servers. Could be that the other two were on break, though even when they came, the service was still the same.... a bit disorganized.

Where do I begin? This is my favorite restaurant in all of Tampa Bay! So student friendly and perfect for late night eats. Their prices are unbeatable, service is super friendly and the food is dependable and always satisfying!! Their drink deals are amazing and the food is so so good. Such sweet people and whoever is on AUX is amazing. Great RnB classics and always sets the mood. A must visit for the area.

Ordered from this place on Uber Eats and I was extremely disappointed. This is a $15 Tempura Bagel Roll… I ordered it because I was super hungry and they were BOGO but I didnt even finish a full roll. The fish was almost nonexistent and the tempura on the outside was so thick compared to other places I have ordered this kind of roll from. Not good. I also ordered cheese wontons but they were out, so I was offered gyoza instead. They were decent!

Google
The sushi at this restaurant exceeded my expectations. The freshness of the fish, combined with expertly crafted rice and flavorful seasonings, created a delightful culinary experience. The presentation was artful, and the diverse menu offered a range of options to satisfy any sushi enthusiast. The ambiance added to the overall enjoyment, making it a top-notch destination for sushi lovers.

Yelp
I'm not normally one to nitpick but whatever I ordered was disgusting. The batter used makes the roll soggy and completely the wrong texture for tempura sushi. It almost looked like fried dough. The crab rangoon was a decent portion though so there's that.

Yelp
I just moved back over to Tampa Palms in Amberly and am so happy there is a sushi place in the plaza next door. Not to mention, this place is great. The quality of the sushi was good and the service was quick and friendly. They have these meal deal specials for 1 where you can get 2 roles and a miso soup or seaweed salad for between $12-15, which is unbeatable considering the amount of food you get for that price. And I believe they even had 2 for 1 on some of the drinks on their menu. I recommend this place!

Yelp
The food was incredible! Very fresh and rolls I've never seen before that were sooooo good! The space itself is nice with the sushi bar visible. We came in around 10:30pm and there were several people waiting so everyone was sat at the same time. We waited around ten minutes for our server but she took our entire order right away and the appetizers came out within a few minutes. Our sushi came out right as we finished the apps. Highly recommend stopping in.

Yelp
Still in search for a good Sushi spot. Gave this place a try and let me start by saying the ambiance of this restaurant was club like vibes lol. It was very dark with neon lights and blasting music. The music was amazing but definitely not the normal dinner music. The food was just okay, however they did have great happy hour deals with drinks and food

Yelp
Great sushi place, we were staying nearby and checked out local restaurants that were recommended and happened to find this one. The service was fast, the staff friendly, the sushi fresh and flavorful. I recommend the dinner specials, I got one that includes two rolls, a miso soup, and Kuni salad. The place itself is small but uses the space well, I loved the decor and the booths were quite nice . I would definitely go again if starting in the area.

Yelp
Sake house is one of my go to sushi spots. My food is always hot, fresh, and affordable. I was surprised when I saw they had a bogo deal going on Ubereats, which allowed me to order soup, spring rolls, wontons, and sushi for only $19! Some places you just don't switch up on, and Sake House is one of them. I'll always support a consistent establishment.

Yelp
Food was excellent. Sashimi and sushi very fresh. Salmon teriyaki very good and not overcooked. Best of all prices were reasonable. Beer was only 2 for six dollars Service was great An old style family owned restaurant. Comfortable We would definitely eat there again

Yelp
There comes a time when a restaurant forgets what made it so popular in the first place, well this is the time for this one for me. This is the 3rd time I've come and gotten less than edible food from them. Today I ordered my usual 2011 & I tried number 27 for the first time. Both tasted mushy and just disgusting. I couldn't even finish them. Also customer service has always been stretched thin, but today it was thin, rude, and unobservant. On top of this disaster, there was no wasabi, nor ginger added into the product. Also she gave me a lunch special which came with the soup and i didn't order that, which is why my bill was slightly higher than I expected. I am not feeling good from eating the food as if it was tainted, why didn't I call the restaurant because what would that really do...give me satisfaction but would they really change? Yeah I didn't think so. Now I take MY money elsewhere to be respected with quality food over convenience.

Yelp
The food was terrific! The 4 of us all enjoyed our food. I ordered the dinner special of miso soup & 2 rolls (Viper Roll & Red Head Roll) with a side of eel sauce. Both were great. Although, I had a preference for the Viper Roll. I appreciated the lighting, which was bright on our table and dim elsewhere. Despite there being quite a few other people at the establishment, we felt we had an intimate dining experience.

Yelp
Ordered on door dash tonight because of the rain. Was extremely disappointed when I opened this because of how sloppy it was and missing the spicy mayo on the Mexico roll. I also ordered a miso soup and no condiments were included in the bag and the soup was cold. This is why I hate giving restaurants business on DoorDash because they truly take advantage.

Yelp
Great lunch specials wow ! Good food - good service. Atmosphere- noise level can be louder than my norm but overall 5 stars worthy experience. The music inside the restaurant is loud. Will definitely recommend and come back. All the lunch rolls were made properly and great size too.

Yelp
The staff was not understanding at all when a man at the table next to us kept staring at me and trying to take photos of me. They told us "that's out of our control" and we had to explain that they can control us leaving and getting away from him, which one would think is common sense. From the beginning of the night they sat us and never checked on us for 30 minutes no drinks until they realized they forgot to give us a server. Worst experience i've had so i won't be returning. The food is good just order take out.

Yelp
Arrived at the restaurant and their waiting space is pretty small. The line was forcing us to stand at the door and then we were yelled at to close the door so we didn't let mosquitoes in. Usually that would have been my reason to leave since the seater saw 3 parties standing there, but didn't ask us anything else. We stayed and squeezed 6 people into the small entry space and then a 7th joined and held the door open. We warned them about holding the door open and surprisingly the host didn't yell at them to shut the door. Once we were finally seated they were quick with their service. The host was also our server and it seemed his demeanor completely changed once we were at his table in a positive way. He was able to answer questions and give great recommendations. Both roles I had were pretty tasty. As well as the steamed shumai. I had roll number 69 sea breeze roll and 61- B52 cooked roll. The sea breeze was light and tasty, the cooked roll was heavy so I opted to eat it later back at home. It also came as a special with miso soup I forgot to take a photo of, but overall that was your standard soup. Overall it's good for the price you pay and I can see why it would be a go to late night.

Yelp
While I do appreciate the deals and price range of the food here I do find the quality has room for improvement. Placed an order online and the food was not ready by the time we arrived. There seemed to be a good crowd of people dining in and taking out. The sashimi was a bit warm and had a subtle fishy taste that I usually associate with bad fish. The rolls were ok nothing to write home about and the dumplings were cooked well. Maybe the quality would vary if we ate inside instead of take out. If you're looking for deals this is the place but don't expect the best quality.

Yelp
I was pleasantly surprised by this small establishment! The sushi I had was super good & it tasted very fresh. Service was average, and the ambiance was nice. We had the dinner special for the sushi so we saved a lot of money. Very good prices as well!

Yelp
Cheap rolls and great service. They're open super late and do Uber eats so they're busy all the time but the restaurant is small so it fills up quick.

Yelp
I decided to return to Sake House because my last visit was very interesting. As I stated in my last review, there is a lot of potential here -- which is why I returned. They are still looking for help in the dining room and when I entered the staff was eating dinner. As soon as I came in they immediately all got up and we're ready to serve me. Tonight's dinner was an Alaskan roll and some salmon teriyaki. I also let my server know that I could not eat any egg and he assured me that they would take care of that. The Alaskan roll was absolutely excellent. I also ordered some green tea and this time it did not disappoint. Hot, fresh and my own little pot. Mmmm. Initial service times were good for my roll and sides. The salad is simple , it's basically just lettuce and dressing. The soup is standard miso, very good. The salmon teriyaki was served super hot, sizzling! Very good, sashimi grade salmon no doubt. All in all I was very happy with my meal and I do intend to return soon.

Yelp
Stopped by on a Thursday night around 8:30pm for dine in. Arrived out front and had to ring a doorbell on a table to enter (you are not permitted to touch the door handle at this time). I checked out the menu that was laying on the table while I waited for my ring to be answered. The most important thing to understand when coming to this restaurant or ordering takeout: it is VERY busy. Mostly with takeout orders and that is what the staff seemed to be focused on. Their menu prices are very reasonable and this is a college area. Be prepared to wait and be patient. They are still heavily following Covid protocols which I think is great. So with that, here's my pros and cons: PROS: - The sushi is hella fresh. Crunchy veggies, fresh fish, flavorful. It's quality food - Happy hour is all day and beer/wine are 2-4-1 ($6 for 2 drinks is a deal) - They offer $5.55 sushi rolls during certain time frames. I think it was 1-5pm and 8pm-2am but don't hold me to that - Very clean seating and they clearly wiped down the table before we were seated - Prices can't be beat! Especially for combos: I had a specialty roll with 5 pieces of sashimi for $13.99. This is why the phone is ringing off the hook and the staff is rushing to pack to-go boxes - Late night food. They are open until 2am CONS: - No real dishes at this time, except for alcoholic beverages. Water and soda is served in a massive styrofoam cup, soup is in a styrofoam bowl and sushi is served in a to-go box (which is efficient when taking leftovers because they simply give you a lid) - Parking is shared with the rest of the lot which includes Crunch gym. Be prepared to wait for a good spot or walk a bit - This place has limited seating. A couple of tables outside (do not recommend because it's very dark and right up against a concrete wall) as well as a few booths inside. I imagine this is why so many people order takeout - Slow service. NOT THEIR FAULT. There are only a few workers and they are constantly running around. No one is standing around doing nothing...they are really busting ass trying to fill orders while still be attentive to diners. Be patient, but I would not suggest coming here for a quick meal I would definitely suggest this to anyone looking for takeout sushi or who doesn't mind spending a while at a restaurant to enjoy quality food. They really do a good job with the food they provide and their prices are some of the best in Tampa. I'd go back to support them in a heartbeat.

Yelp
By far the absolute best bang for your buck for sushi near USF. Open super late, great drink selection, great deals, great service, fresh sushi. The miso soup is fantastic, and miso soup is the best metric by which to judge Japanese food, if you ask me. Stop going to low-quality all you can eat joints, because you can buy the same amount here for a similar price with dinner special deals. Eat your bodyweight in actually tasty sushi. Did I mention they're open well past midnight? Atmosphere is lovely. Very clean, dim lighting, not too loud. Asian music playing. Sake bombs are 2 for $6. Hot sake is great and cheap. Hana Lychee is the best sweet sake I've ever had. The Chocolate Nigori is also absurdly good.

Yelp
Food: Food is actually now bad! Certainly a step up from South Carolina, as they didn't actively incorporate swamp water in every dish. Typically, this food will not give you food poisoning, rendering a solid hour on the toilet. Instead, it offers a yummy dining experience with adequate textures and options. Service: Usually, I am served by one waitress who is super kind, attentive, and funny! She has really cool tattoos. However, my most recent dining experience was guided along by a... interesting waitress. She started off by telling my friend and I to hurry up, only after five minutes of looking over the menu. Immediately, she proved to be outstandingly passive aggressive, seeming to take some sort of frustration out on us. We ignored it, but decided to decrease the amount we would tip. I hope to not encounter her again. Ambiance: Ranging from the unique tapestries to the cute little garage-sale fish hung up beside the table, I find this restaurant really cute. It's usually such a pleasure eating here, with only one negative experience.

Yelp
I. Plus literally way here every night. 77 different rolls, all kinds of deals and a quiet atmosphere dining in. I have not a bad thing to say about it! It does seem like there are different deals for carry out vs dine in, mainly pertaining to appetizers. But either way, you'll have great sushi?

Jason J.

Yelp
Great Place and Staff! I like that they are open 11:30 am - 2:00 am. Nice atmosphere and lighting!

Yelp
Diamond in the rough !!!! I hesitate to write a review because I always get a table every time we dine here . I don't want it to get too busy ... let's get to it !!! The tiny Sake House packs a mean punch when it comes to sushi , sake and service . Their sushi preparation station is in full view with two gentleman putting their heart and soul into filling the dining room orders, takeout , and mobile orders . The waitress suggested so many wonderful rolls that they offer along with stir fry and sake . We dined on clear soup, bottles of sake , stir fry, appetizers , and of course dessert ~we got the entire experience. Everything was fresh , savory , simply delicious. A go to place for us always !!! Give them a try .

Yelp
First time here. It was packed on arrival on a Tuesday night; a good sign, though keep in mind it's late night so many restaurants are closing. None the less, the pictures do seem accurate and this place is busy for a reason. When I entered the restaurant I noticed people picking up their food, about 3 groups in total ahead of me. When it got down to just one group ahead of me, the restaurant was understandably still packed, but I wasn't expecting a group of people to be pushing me from behind while trying to gain more comfortable territory in the small waiting area near the hosting booth. Not only did they keep pressing against me from behind (with their backs or bodies while talking, inching slowly back), but one of them decided to push past the people who had come in before them and after me and were second in line, maybe not knowing that none of us had had a chance to speak with the very busy waiting staff so far. I noticed after turning around - no longer wanting to feel the pushing behind me, that they were all young women from another country, undoubtedly somewhere in Europe. My guess was Poland or Russia, not that it matters that much really, but them being foreign I don't expect them to..wait I guess in line to be seated like we would here I guess? Maybe they assumed we had all been helped and were waiting for to go. Anyway. They either assumed automatically upon arriving that everyone had already spoken to the host, even though none of us were seated, or the prior conclusion. Luckily a nearby server was able to discern the situation, seeing the first hostess answering calls, who had talked to the new group of people before talking to any of us; but I don't blame her for doing so, from being super busy, answering calls and just looking up. Anyway, the server asked me if I had been helped yet, I politely said I had gotten here first. Then the group got confused, wondering what was happening. So I told them I didn't want to be rude and that I was here first. The people who came after me and before them agreed, much to the group's confusion and dismay. There was some sassy tones and remarks when they eventually passed my table, but who cares; it's not last come first serve here my dudes in America. Cue cry me a river by Justin Timberlake. On to the food. As someone who rolled sushi for 7 years, I have high standards. So here goes. Fish: The quality of the fish was comparable and fresh to other places - no crazy impressive choices like toro belly, but not a super tiny limited menu either. Rice: the rice quality is about a 7/10. It's not mushy or crunchy (over or undercooked) but I've had it better in other places as far as flavor and overall texture goes. Hot food: crunchy/crispy and tasty. No complaints, but I only got the rock shrimp. Ambience: the restaurant looks pretty, music isn't too loud, the lighting is nice. Space overall/sidenotes: very small area for dining, which is fine. But the waiting area to be seated is very condensed as well, making it easy for people waiting to pile up. On a Tuesday with two hostesses both having their hands full, it can be both a good sign in business and a bad sign in managing how many people are working. Luckily fellow customers had my back and I had theirs so we were seated in the proper order - and lucky also that a nearby server was able to jump in and help the hostesses who were each doing multiple things at once for a good amount of waiting time. Staff rating: everyone I saw was working hard. Service side and sushi chefs both, always moving, always doing something to get stuff done. The sushi for example also didn't fall apart, and had beautiful presentation. Just the quality I recommend be raised to compete with restaurants nearby that do have salmon and tuna belly, as well as the rice quality with the vinegar taste, but that's just my opinion (I think it needs more Kombu and sugar/salt) However, people who enjoy sushi in general will definitely enjoy this place. Cam was my server and she was amazing! Not only did she notice I hadn't been seated yet and wanted to clear the wait up, she was super thorough and attentive, polite and professional, and knowledgeable/friendly. Fast too! Thank you for dinner. Best of luck!

Yelp

Yelp
Sake House is a small sushi bar near Tampa Palms. It has a small entrance guarded by a small outside seating area, and inside the restaurant the lights are dim, the music is moderately noticeable, and the seats are mainly booths with tall backs that line the side of the restaurant, each complete with a small hanging light. There is a sort of bluish tint inside, paired with a dim red glow from the white lights above the table, and it lends itself to a more intimate experience. This is exacerbated by the tall backs of the booths that add another level of separation between tables. The decor is more traditional and thematic, in both the style of the seats and the pictures and banners on the walls, as well as through the lighting and the general setup of the space; all of these factors help give more character to the space and make it feel more welcoming to guests. Although the restaurant is noticeably small and is usually fairly busy, hosts are generally quick to seat guests and put orders in for food. Additionally, the restaurant is adequately affordable and has lunch and dinner specials with discounts on entrees and sushi rolls. Unfortunately, there is not much variety in the entrees other than in the sushi rolls, but it is decent for when you want a place to sit and eat with a few friends.

Yelp
Great food. Real, honest food. Good price. I tried the Bagel Roll. They were fast.

Yelp
The Basics: Sake House is a sushi spot located on Amberly Drive in Tampa Palms. There was a prior sushi restaurant at this location, but it has since changed ownership. The restaurant is small and features some tables and booths as well as a sushi bar where you can sit. Things I like: The sushi is fine and there is a lot of variety to choose from. My favorite roll I have had from Sake House is the Tampa Roll. It is also a convenient spot as you can order pick up or get food delivered via Uber Eats. Things I didn't like: I was not very impressed by the quality of the sushi. It did not seem to made with much care. The Spicy Girl roll was fine, but the B-52 was difficult to eat because it was so heavily fried. Overall, I am not planning on returning to Sake House at the moment, but I may try to eat inside the restaurant at some point to see if I enjoy the food more when it is not being picked up for takeout.

Yelp
I had sashimi here, and let me just say that the fish was not fresh. It tasted very fishy. The miso soup was tasty but I definitely wouldn't recommend getting the sashimi. The server, however, was very kind.

Yelp
Great sushi at a reasonable price. The dinner special was excellent and is a great option to try multiple items. I tried the 73 Scorpion King, 27 Crab Special, Kirin and Sapporo rolls and all were delicious. There is interior and exterior seating. Service is good and the staff is attentive. I would recommend this place and I look forward to visiting again.

Yelp
I found this on Yelp and saw they have good reviews plus happy hour and $5.55 on 30 different sushi options so I figured lets give them a try. I came around 6 PM and they had multiple to go orders. I was the only one there and few more people came after. I had three different rolls and I really enjoyed them! I had the mange Roll #25 and It was good, Crab special #27 also delicious, and Kamikaze roll #29, I think I enjoyed this the most. It was fried and had cream cheese too. I highly recommend them and will definitely return and recommend it to friends

Yelp
Sake House is walking distance from my home and it's a dangerous thing. Haha They offer great lunch and dinner specials, which range depending on the specialty sushi. Both include miso soup and ginger salad. I usually order from the lunch/dinner special and my husband likes the spicy maki combo which comes with 3 rolls: spicy tuna, spicy salmon, and spicy yellowtail. The spicy maki combo also comes with soup and salad. Their crab Rangoons are called cheese wontons and served with a sweet creamy dipping sauce rather than the sweet chili sauce from most other sushi restaurants. Side note: When you order online, orders over $20 receive a $5 gift card and orders over $40 receive a $10 gift card.

Yelp
The pink lady roll was loosely rolled and very unappetizing. The tuna (see picture) was really dark and closer to brown than pink. I was not comfortable eating this sushi. Spent $60 on Uber eats and ended up microwaving food from my freezer.
google avatar

Neek B.

Yelp
2 rolls and chicken friend rice cost me $42. And when I tell you this is the last time I'll eat here. None of the food had flavor. I've had better sushi at Publix on $5 Wednesday. I ordered online and then came 20 min later and they didn't even have my order and when I say didn't have it, like they literally had no idea what I was talking about. When I ordered my food online it just had me do Apple Pay with no email for the recipe so thank goodness I didn't close out of the web page I ordered on or I wouldn't have been able to get my $42 food(I'll even post the receipt b/c I can't believe I paid for this). And they kept asking me to see the email of what I ordered and I kept telling them I didn't have the email I just have the webpage open showing what I ordered and how much I paid. I'm just so disappointed and hungry b/c I couldn't finish this.

Yelp
This is the #1 spot to pound Sake bombs in Hillsborough County! They have a huge variety of rolls

Yelp
This was a surprise for multiple reasons. When I was researching Sake House I initially thought that the information I was reading about it was a mistake. It said that the closing time was 2 AM! I went and looked at their official website and sure enough that is correct. That is just unbelievable, in a good way, for this part of town. Another pleasant surprise involved soup. I absolutely love udon noodle soup, which is easy to find at sushi restaurants. The catch is that I like it with chicken, which is not easy to find at all. Sake House offers it. I try to limit my fried food intake so I prefer not having chicken Katsu, which was also not a problem here. I really enjoyed my soup! It's great to know that I can come here when the late night munchies hit. Thumbs up for Sake House.

When it is 12:00 a.m. and you just got out of a 3 hour painful to watch super hero movie, this is a great little sushi dive. Not too long ago, every restaurant in Tampa closed no later than 11:00. This place was open until 2:00 a.m. The wait staff was efficient and friendly and the food was good.

Yelp
Great little sushi place. Excellent price for standard sushi. I typically pick up a couple of rolls and veggie tempura on my way home from work on Friday. The staff is predominantly young students. They are expedient but not very friendly.

Yelp

Yelp
We went to this place because it had amazing reviews but when we got there the service wasn't good, the server didn't know the menu I asked her and showed her the pictures of food I wanted to try off the pictures off of Yelp and google and she didn't know the pictures of the food I wanted so we showed the chef and he said they changed owners so it's not on the menu anymore. The food was okay from what we were able to get from the server. The ambiance of the music didn't make sense it went from metal rock to R&b music to dubstep.

Yelp
The sushi was good many creative choices for such a small business. I order the dinner that changed price with the higher end items. Miso soup and 2 rolls of 12+ or more plus a salad( never served) for 18$

Yelp
I love the portion sizes of the sushi here and the bold and savory varieties that they offer! I have to say that my new favorite is the 2011 roll with added jalapenos. It's just the perfect roll for me with just the right notes and a kick of heat. Every order has always been packaged to perfection and bursting with delicious flavor. This is the only sushi joint where I've thoroughly enjoyed every order. Their rolls are fantastic hot or cold. Most of the time I warm mine up just to give it a heartier feeling. I would like to equally enjoy their yakitori beef appetizer that comes in a surprisingly tiny size compared to their sushi. You literally just get enough to sample the dish, but not actually enjoy it, as its cut into tiny pieces before being placed between cucumber on a kabob. Regardless, their sushi is everything I want in a roll and keeps me always coming back for more.

Yelp
Me and my boyfriend always order sake house when we are craving sushi in Tampa! Their late hours are great and the sushi is always fresh and delicious! The wait times are never longer than they tell you plus the prices are to die for.

Yelp
We've eaten here once and loved the atmosphere. I would definitely dine in more frequently if not for those pesky kids. However, I have kids, so I've ordered food from Sake House on Uber Eats for years now. It's my favorite to-go sushi place! The Caliente roll is something I try to replicate at every sushi place I go, there's something about the sweet/spicy combo that just makes me sooo happy. They also have a really good topping for their volcano roll (only place that might better was Sushi Alive, but I haven't been there since they moved to Westchase). I'm in Temple Terrace so I actually have 3 other sushi places that I can think of that are closer or just as close as Sake House, but I still prefer this place. Their prices are also really reasonable and they have some good deals if you go in. It's Covid-19 time right now and they're handling things really well. Pick up outside, they have hand sanitizer on a table outside their door. And they have a special where you get a gift card for orders over $15. The only good thing coming out of this Pandemic is that I can feel like I'm "doing good" by ordering sushi
