On the Grid : Sake

"The dishes in Sake are little works of art and are almost too pretty to eat! In this super cool and beautifully designed Japanese restaurant aesthetic is as important as flavour. Not the cheapest Japanese restaurant in the area but you can treat yourself with something really special - amazing flavours, colours and textures, the perfect combination!" - CoMa

Amazing food and service. We went during their Happy Hour (5-6pm everyday) and had the $1.50 gyozas which were delicious, and their on tap Orion beer. The sushi was fresh and served quickly, and also very affordable. We really enjoyed our meal and would definitely recommend.

Great fresh Japanese food! The sushi was delicious but wished the tuna was a bit colder as it was warm. Gyoza was nice but could be crispier, But everything was great, great service but can get hot inside! Definitely will come back.

I had the Chicken Katsu Ramen with chicken stock and it was absolutely delicious! It’s so nice to find a place that offers a different stock option compared to the usual pork or fish base. The staff were so sweet and welcoming, and the whole dining experience was fantastic. The food was fresh, full of flavour, and really satisfying. Highly recommend giving this place a go!

We were visiting from Melbourne and we have to say, the best Japanese food we have had in Australia! We enjoyed our experience so much, we returned the night for more. Everything was outstanding...from the freshness of the food (very generous servings!) , to the very quirky decor (just like Japan). Small & intermit setting, perfect to be able to have a conversation over dinner and to be able to hear one another. We were staying with family who live in the area who enjoy the finer things in life and have now added this little gem of a place, to their list of regular eateries. We will definitely be back on our next trip to Sydney! Keep up the great work team

I recently visited Sake Street, a cozy Japanese restaurant that offers a delightful combination of authentic Japanese flavors and a selection of wines. The casual ambiance and friendly service created a relaxed dining experience. The menu featured a range of traditional Japanese dishes prepared with care, showcasing the rich flavors and fresh ingredients. The staff was helpful in suggesting wine pairings that complemented the flavors of the food. Sake Street is a great choice for those looking for a relaxed and enjoyable dining experience with a touch of Japanese culinary excellence.

Food was fresh, delicious and reasonably priced. The restaurant itself was small (nice & cosy) and we were able to get a table for 3 without a booking. Would recommend: - Karaage chicken (portion was huge) - Fresh salmon sushi roll (they were very generous with the fish) - Soft shell crab sushi roll - Pork dumplings

The food was so average here. Had popcorn prawns which were too heavily deep fried, karage chicken which was too crunchy and the batter was crap. Had pork belly ramen which was one of the worst ramens I’ve had. So disappointed won’t be returning. The ramen across the road was better
