Sakégura Restaurant

Sakeguru was a cute little adventure — I got the steak, chicken, and fried rice hibachi combo. The food was decent, but my hibachi chef was quieter than expectations — zero sizzle in the show department. Maybe I just got the chill grill guy. Not bad overall, just missing the fun spark I came for!

First time trying this place, and we sure are glad we did! It was fantastic! It had several options for dining with a few booths and tables. If you wanted to sit privately, sushi bar that you could sit at, plus 4 hibachi blacktops. UT our chef was awesome! He was funny. He kept us laughing. And he's a master at cooking seafood. The salad and the miso soup were also fantastic. Our server kept our drinks filled, and we just had a good time. Can't wait to go back in the very near future!

Jack was my cook and he was so kind and entertaining. He made accommodations for me since it was a slow period of the day. I’ve been coming here for over 12 years. Best hibachi in Georgia.

Service and food were good. The hibachi was better than the fried rolls.Not sure about that salad, I never touched it. Server came and checked in frequently.

Shrimp tempura melts in my mouth. Spring rolls the right amount of crunch. Soup is unique and filling!? Server is on it. The sushi is okay for me. I’ll try it again for sure.

I must say my food and experience was great! I have the steak and lobster hibachi in which both was cooked perfectly. The tea tasted great and the chef was very engaged with us. Small hibachi area and when sitting with other families feels like they are in your circle. But overall good experience

We visited last night for my best friend's son's birthday. We had a very large group but our chef was amazing. Between his jokes and his cooking, we had a great time. Will definitely be visiting again soon.

On a Friday at lunch, it was just busy enough that the hibachi grill filled up with two other couples quickly, allowing us to be seated promptly. The Sushi was fresh and masterfully prepared. The pot of lemon ginger tea was well-spiced and flavorful. The salad with the house-special ginger puree was adequate, and the Hibachi Chicken and vegetables were well prepared and consistent with what you would expect. Sakegura food delivers on consistency. There is nothing too special about their dishes, but you feel that you received the food experience you were seeking.

We loved this place! The food was FABULOUS, the chef UT was so much fun, our server was on point and the place is small but offers several seating options. Sushi bar seating, several booths and tables to eat privately and 3 or 4 hibachi black tops. I've got leftovers for tomorrow but they might not make it . I'm already deciding which friend I'm taking with me this weekend! Just look at that beautiful dark rich looking broth in their miso soup. So good! The fried rice was delicious and unique bc it had both bacon and ground beef. UT knows how to perfectly cook seafood too!

Not bad but not great either. It's value priced sushi so the ingredients are not excellent, restaurant is a bit dated and feels damp. Service was excellent - staff is super friendly and helpful and attentive. Great sweet tea so I added a star for that. Good lunch specials under $20

Had a quick lunch here during work! I drove past this place all the time since it's right near Target and Ross but this was my first time eating here. I was hesitant because the reviews weren't that great here on Yelp but I'll be the first to say it -- this place is so good. I sat at a booth and was greeted by friendly host and waiter. Came during lunch so maybe that's why the prices were so reasonable but for my two rolls I think it was about $25 dollars--which is super reasonable in my eyes. The dancing eel roll and spicy tuna roll were so fresh tasting and even my friend agreed that it was good! Doesn't look like this place gets too busy but they do offer hibachi too which is nice. Definitely see myself coming back!

Food is VERY good. Service is good. Ambiance is good and most IMPORTANTLY, the place is CLEAN. Not like some other places that are grimy. Good place. Check it out.

I got takeout from here and I got the tuna roll and the fugiya roll. Loved the fugiya roll and I tried the tuna roll just for the e experience but I wasn't a huge fan. I would definitely get the fugiya roll and thought! I also got Uber eats from here once and ordered the Super crunch roll and shrimp tempura roll. I don't remember loving nor hating either of them and will be willing to try them again.

The roll was good, and the ambiance was very nice. Also, I liked how quickly the server took our order and we received our food in a timely manner.

My wife and I visited this location a few times, as it is one of the closest Japanese/Sushi restaurants near our home. Sakegura is located off of Scenic Highway within the Presidential Markets Shopping Mall in Snellville, Ga. The Parking: Sakegura is located within a shopping center with a huge parking lot. Plenty of free parking. The Atmosphere: This is your typical Japanese restaurant. There are several regular tables and quite a few hibachi tables. Loved the music here. Had some good R&B. The Service: Everyone was nice. Our chef on the hibachi grill was super nice and funny. The show he put on was great. There was a baby at our table who was completely fascinated by the tricks and fire. The Food: We had the filet mignon, shrimp, and chicken hibachi with fried rice and vegetables. Delicious! We also had two types of sushi (cAnt remember which we got) but they were also good and fresh. Overall, I would definitely recommend if you're in the area.

Worth being a regular customer!! Remember Norm from "Cheers"? That's our family. We love everything here and are at Sakegura weekly...the hibachi is fun and entertaining to bring family and friends. The food is delicious, and they're always happy to make substitutions and special dietary requests. We're also constantly getting take out of sashimi, edamame, fried rice, dumplings, cucumber kani salad, milk tea, and Super California rolls. We're happy to consistently support local small business!!

My wife and I went to the restaurant. Greeted nicely. Sat immediately. Service was very good. Food was delicious. Ambiance was nice. The chef put on a very nice show. Loved the experience. Overall we loved it. We will return.

Good food, but bad wait with terrible management and customer service. Try any other place this is not worth it especially with the broken AC making it incredibly hot.

Hibachi is always entertaining and service is good. Average priced for Hibachi. Fried rice is good and different with ground beef

I've been to Sakegura in Snellville now twice, and both times my experience was meh. Service is friendly but the food is just missing something. First time we ordered some sushi, shrimp fried rice, and steak hibachi during lunch time. The fried rice was OK. Had to cover it with yum yum sauce. Steak wasn't cook as requested, and sushi was not bad. Second time we actually sat at the hibachi area and had the whole experience. The cooks were friendly and fun which made the experience better, but the food was the same. The restaurant is clean, plenty of parking, and everyone practices covid measures. Not sure I will be back. ESPAÑOL He estado en Sakegura en Snellville ahora dos veces, y en ambas ocasiones mi experiencia fue meh. El servicio es amable, pero a la comida le falta algo. La primera vez que pedimos sushi, arroz frito con camarones y bistec hibachi durante la hora del almuerzo. El arroz frito estaba bien. Tuve que cubrirlo con salsa yum yum. El bistec no se cocinó como lo pedi, y el sushi no estaba mal. La segunda vez nos sentamos en el área de hibachi y tuvimos toda la experiencia. Los cocineros fueron amables y divertidos, lo que hizo que la experiencia fuera mejor, pero la comida igual. El restaurante está limpio, hay mucho estacionamiento y todos practican medidas covid. No estoy segura si volveré.

I don't usually leave reviews but I must say THIS PLACE IS AMAZING! My family & I ate lastnight at about 8:45-9pm and was WELL TAKEN CARE OF. The food was definitely 100/10. Thank you guys again

My husband and I went here for lunch and it was awful. The food appeared cheap. The salad was poorly prepared. The steak in the bento box was not seasoned and it tasted like paper. The experience was very disappointing.

The restaurant is neat and clean. The servers are attentive, friendly, and funny. There are plenty if seatings and nicely decorated. We came during busy hours in the afternoon so waited a bit for the food. The food was delicious. We enjoyed our dinner.

Although it's not very extravagant looking on the inside, Salegura is by far the best hibachi in the Snellville area!!!

Had the chicken hibachi lunch today, and it was okay. Came with a decent portion of chicken, white rice and vegetables . Wasn't a big fan of the teriyaki sauce, had a pasty like after taste. The house soup was alright, plain soup with noodles and a mushroom or two. The California roll was as expected, so maybe they are better known for their sushi than hibachi, will give another try!

I gave this restaurant a two star rating. I have been wanting to eat here for a while as my favorite Japanese restaurant is right up the street. Glad I did and it will be the last time. The food was good but the owners are Chinese and the restaurant is run very similar to a Chinese type restaurant. I asked for Ocha and pronounced Japanese words (food titles as was in the menu) and the waitress did not know what I was talking about. What was even more disturbing was as I sat and ate, I looked around and saw that the restaurant was not very clean. The red carpet is filthy. The picture hanging over my table on the wall was literally falling apart... Just barely hanging up there. I went to the bathroom and honestly I felt like throwing up everything I had eaten. The bathroom was just filthy. So for me... I can say that I have tried Sakegura but will continue to eat at my favorite Japanese restaurant right up the street... Sushi Avenue. The environment at sushi Avenue is very close to Japanese authenticity as is the food and the staff. You are greeted in Japanese when you enter and thanked in Japanese as you exit. What makes this review horrifying is that I was at the door when the restaurant opened. One would think the restaurant would be clean at the beginning of their day. This restaurant was not.

This is a a no frill habachi, they give a pretty big fried rice portion. The rice was tasty. The scallops were good and a lot in my opinion. It's good for a quick dinner with family. Would come back.

This Restaurant was Fantastic, the Food was Great, the portions were good, the price was reasonable and our Chef named (woop-woop) was AMAZING!!! He made my son's Birthday Extra special with all his fancy tricks and Jokes, my kids and I absolutely Loved him!!! The service was Excellent all around! They refilled our cups and brought out to go bags without us even asking. They were so on point with everything and extremely accommodating, we will definitely be back!!! Thank you soo much!!!

Since I've stepped foot in this establishment in 2012 I have received nothing but excellent quality food, amazing customer service, and memories to last a lifetime. I've been to many places, and also think of myself as a connoisseur for fried rice.... and there is no... and I repeat.. NO FRIED RICE better than Sake's. I adore how choosing to sit at the table has its own intimate experience and sitting at the grill has an excitement of its own. I love the environment as well. Some of the workers there have been there forever. They remember your name and treat you well at all times, not just when it's empty and convenient for them. Please treat yourself to this gem of a restaurant and bring your friends. 10/10 every time.

What a great place to eat. Its hibachi. Since its Hibachi, you can expect it to take an hour or so. You will have wonderful service and amazing food. Tonight Tamara and I had the steak and shrimp with fried rice. Perfecting as always. Thanks to the employees....

This place my kids love it they call it cook in front of you so yes it's a family go to food is good and so is the service. And if you can try and get there early

Good experience! Went here for my son birthday! First restaurant that I've actually sat in with my whole family since March 2020. We went at lunch time. Was not crowded at all, we had the hibachi grill and show to ourselves.Practiced great Covid measures! Food was great, customer service was great!

Had lunch there. Menu was limited, waiter was extremely rude (I've never encountered a waiter as rude as this one), food was very over priced and was mediocre at best. In my opinion, giving it one star is being too generous!

This was our first time visiting and it did not disappoint. I ordered the chicken and shrimp hibachi while my girlfriend had the shrimp and filet mignon. My chicken was cooked perfectly... nice and tender and the shrimp was very flavorful. The filet mignon was tender and tasty. The miso soup was great. My spring rolls were fresh and the sake was smooth. The service was pretty good for a busy Mother's Day afternoon. We will return!!!

Food is always amazing. Have been a local for years. Fried rice is the best with no egg no onion and yum yum sauce. The steak, chicken, shrimp, and veggies are bomb. Also the house soup is amazing. Great staff and fast service. Best hibachi in town !

Food is not as good as it used to be. I asked for one thing and got another. Kampai down the street is much better! Would not recommend this restaurant to anyone. Customer service is bad as well

This is our Hibachi place to go. He's not just close to home, but their food is very good. I have to confess that I could eat hibachi, every day of the week. The taste of the actual food is very good, but, what you would expect, with the exception of the fried rice. We are meat lovers and the ground beef and bacon the add to the fried rice is delicious!!!!!! We have also tried their sushi, which is pretty good as well. On the service, I would ask them to be a bit more friendly, but they do not get to be rude, just not really talkative or open to explain things. And sorry we were starving, so by the time I thought about the food photos, well it was practically gone :)

The food is so delicious it is indescribable. I usually do the grill because I mean come on, ur up close with your own food. Being able to see the chef do all these amazing tricks is incredibly. I love the atmosphere, and the pricing is not that bad. Over all a amazing experience

This hibachi and sushi place is good, they have the option to cook in front of you with the show or to sit outside and bring you the plate already cooked, their Sushi bar also very tasty and service is usually very quick, even if they have people waiting for the Hibachi show the wait is usually not very long, they have lunch specials which are the perfect size for a smaller meal, lots of parking, I am a regular here.

A friend and i visited this establishment for some sushi and was disappointed to see nothing but imitation crab in their sushi selection. No real crab is on this menu. I gave their sushi a try and it did not meet my taste. I am a huge fan of sushi but this just was not it. I told my server that i didn't like it and didn't want it. She was very rude and forced me to pay regardless. She kept asking if i wanted a to go box and didn't offer not one apology or attempt to compensate. I left every bit of sushi on that table and plan on calling the bank to dispute it. I would have left her a tip but their customer service is trash. No wonder they didn't have any customers in there to begin with. Oh well their loss ‍

Avoid at all costs! Sort reviews by date, this place has gone down hill! The food is mediocre at best. I've gone here a few times, because I live in the area, and each time I've been disappointed. The manager is extremely rude, and arrogant. He acts as if the customers are lucky to have him and the restaurant. The last time we went we waited thirty minutes. Saw that they crossed our name our without sitting us, and complained to the manager. The manager shrugged it off and told us to have a seat for another 20 minutes. No apology or anything! We left. We've since discovered better sushi/hibachi in the area, and will never return.

Ordered the beef yakisoba and it was pretty good and filling for one. If I were to come back, I would try the sushi and see how those are. Service was okay, only because we arrived close to them closing for lunch.

place was HORRIBLE. why does it have anything above a 1?? i'm currently writing this while i'm at the table. i was with a party of 6. i understand it takes time for everything to come out and such but NOT or NEVER take nearly over an an hour and 30 minutes. took roughly 20 to even take drink orders. then the rest was just waiting for our food. they kept talking and walking by. it was a lot better before. the owner stood and looked at us multiple times and just stood there talking. i ordered a chicken hibachi dinner and there was two shrimps inside. there was bugs inside of my cups as well. THE COMMUNITY: while i was waiting in the parking lot for the rest of my party, these two males came up to my car and started LOOKING into my window and telling me to roll my windows. i called my sister and told about what happened. they thought it was a funny joke. THIS PLACE IS A DISASTER ZONE

Food is definitely not fresh for to-go orders. Ordered chicken and shrimp and Picked up food at about 8pm. Everything except the vegetables and shrimp tasted like it had been sitting around for a while or just didn't taste like it was just cooked. Some of the chicken was in crumbles and tough which was weird. Will not be returning especially after paying $60 for 2 people. Maybe it's better if you eat at the restaurant so they can cook it in front of you. It's too late for me tho. Won't be back.

we went to this restaurant and the service was awful. no customer service at all.In addition ,if you look at their exhaust vents, these are so full of grease and dust that you feel that it will fall down on your plate of food. To be honest sanity department should expect this place.

Went here because our usual sushi place we like a lot -Sri Thai- on 78/124 next to provisos was having issues with water due to crazy intersection there.... we were here a few years ago..... sushi ? 5/10 Salad and bento box ? 6/10...... overpriced for Lunch Decor nice!!!!! Go to Sri Thai!

This is a gem for this area, nice to not have to travel so far for hibachi. The restaurant is clean and spacious. We were Greeted as soon as we entered and even drawn into authentic conversation as we waited for our hibachi to be set up for seating. Almost every person we encountered was friendly. Our server seemed a little agitated, his face and demeanor gave it away. My mom couldn't make up her mind and had a few questions and requests. While this usually embarrasses me a bit, I don't care for her being treated unkindly for it. The server went so far as to lean on the counter with an attitude, which I'm sure made her feel uncomfortable and me upset. The service was quick and I will say our server explained a few things that possibly went wrong on other visits(ex. He told me about how they make their spicy tuna rolls before I ordered two- he wasn't all bad). The hibachi chef saved the day tho! He was hilarious! My mom was so excited and amazed by him, it was good to see her so happy after the previous treatment. (My mom doesn't try new often, so I don't need someone ruining her experiences). The chef interacted with every one of us, making jokes and showing tricks. My daughter thinks he's the coolest! The food was delicious. I had the lobster and scallops with steamed rice with a cranberry juice. The lobster and scallops was cooked perfectly, I even had some the next day and it still tasted fresh off the grill. The spicy tuna roll was yum, but not quite spicy enough, and the spicy mayo had too much mayo.... but that's just me. Would I visit again, yes, but idk that I'd be a regular, we will see!

This place used to be really good but honestly those quick hibachi places taste better. My food was really bland. I had a shrimp hibachi meal and vegetable spring rolls. It was just not what I remembered

Our food was good but the overall experience was bad based on the employees. The cook was very friendly and funny but our server was just rude. We heard from a close family friend that used to work there that all the tips left on the table or for the cooks, are all taken away by the manager. Ive came here before this time and personally saw the manager watching us give our cook tips and followed him to the back right away. This time, we left no tips. We got into our car and one of the employees comes up to my car and asks if we left a tip with cash, we said no. He then consisted of leaving him a tip saying they distribute all the tips to the cooks that day. So he basically peer pressured us to give him a tip. He was very rude and did not have good customer service. Good restaurants do not follow their customers to the car asking them for a tip...
