Finally a chance to check out SFA, Canadian style. Apart from all the glamour and the looks (which is truly very nice), I'm rather practical. Buying and paying for an Eau de Parfum at the main level was a nice experience with a seemingly knowledgable sales person, until I discovered the Eau de Toilette in my bag. How truly disappointing. But my spouse said hey, you make mistakes too. So I had to go back. Since my pair of jeans looks worn and shabby, I thought I check out the third floor. What a disaster. I tried their own brand Fifth Avenue, and still cannot believe the cut of the jeans. Basically everything looked entirely wrong on me, the shape, the size, the cut. Stunning. I asked my spouse to try one. Result the same, very bad. Wearing before Armani, I asked for it, tried it and was satisfied - until we asked for a second pair for my spouse, which means we wanted to spend money on two pairs of jeans. The have only this one pair in this size. I started to wonder - where exactly am I. Seconds later the sales person asked if my home is near Sherway Garden, which it is not. Otherwise he said, you could go there, may be they have another pair?! Really? Wow! The look on my face must have been completely dumbstruck. Trying to pay for those jeans and the "conversation" during the process made me speechless until now. After five minutes luckless trying by the sales person to get the jeans scanned so I could pay for, the sales person decided to get Chris (which I'd assume is the "Manager"). He tried another five to ten minutes, this time rather successful. I commented, that it rather seems very odd opening a new store in their league, and having their own brand with an rather "unsuccessful" cut, having only one pair of Armani jeans in one size, having this pair or brand not even in the system even more so in a store like SFA, made him not apologizing for our inconvenience, rather telling me in an almost offended, and arrogant manner and tone, this is Armani. This has nothing to do with us. Of course not, how dare me. Now I am totally blown away! Really? The icing on the cake, Chis also suggested during our "conversation" for at least three times we should try to go to Sherway Gardens. So how many dimes did some shareholders invest in this? And, what for did they do this (I am shaking asking my head)? The result: I bought the jeans which, after alteration, I can pick up in a week or so, (still thinking of reversing the deal) but almost knowing for certain not to go back afterwards. Nordstrom - there is nothing for you to be afraid off, there is something truly beautiful to look forward to. After all, you invested a dime or two more, didn't you?
