Sakulchai Place Hotel

A lovely hotel situated a short distance from the main road and nice little restaurants. I arrived early so my room wasn't ready. I decided to get a bite to eat whilst waiting in the cafe which is adjacent to the reception area. I ordered a spicy pad Krapao chicken which was delicious. The manager who served me also gave me some complimentary fruit and a glass of water and seemed very pleasant and friendly. I was eventually shown to my room earlier than check-in time. The room was spacious, very clean and bathroom functional. Air conditioning was good and there was a refrigerator with two bottles of water which were replenished each day. The small gym has two treadmills and two static bicycles overlooking the small pool which has several sun loungers to relax on although not much shaded area. The hotel itself is spotless and all the staff friendly. The price is very reasonable so as a low cost, budget friendly place to stay, near the walled city and the trendy Nimman area and in proximity to Chiang Mai airport I'd certainly recommend it👍

Had a wonderful stay at Sakulchai place in January 2025 on our trip to Chiang Mai. The room was excellent, clean and had all amenities promised. There was ample parking space if you want to park your vehicle. The pooled looked lovely although I personally couldn’t use it due to tight schedule. Highly recommend Sakulchai place for anyone looking forward for a comfortable stay in Chiang Mai

This hotel is lovely. Staffs are friendly, clean pool is not too deep, food is tasty. The only one thing I don't like in the non-smoking room is the window that I can't open. Hope to visit again.

This is a pleasant hotel to stay. with a garden and pool and a small gym. Restuarant is good service. Breakfast was good with freshly cooked eggs.Bedroom was good size. Wifi working well.No wifi in TV though. Mattress was a bit too firm but I got use to it on the second night. Some local cafes and coffee shops turn left on main road and left again or go 10 minutes walk to One Nimman and Nimman area for cafes, coffee shops massages, bars shopping and the Maya Mall with cinemas shops & food courtI will stay again as value for money. .

A really comfortable and beautiful hotel on a budget.Close enough to walk everywhere or easy to jump in a local bus or taxi. Good restaurants and markets close by. Not too far from the old town to walk and explore. Lovely pool and facilities

I stayed in the hotel about a month and felt really comfortable - very friendly staff, clean rooms, good location away from the main road, swimming in the morning and in the evening ... Staying in the hotel again would be a pleasure at any time! Thank you! Kirsten

The location is quite good but you have to walk a little bit, the staff was very friendly, swimming pool very good, and breakfast was also nice. It was nice!

I had the worst experience with this hotel. They have very rude staff including restaurant staff as well, very poor service. We choose to have breakfast outside instead of having breakfast here. They only have 2 options in breakfast which is repeated daily. They do not have any vegitarian option in the breakfast menu. The room are antique and I mean in a bad way. The curtains have white marks, there is no view from the room. They do not provide any hand towel, shower gel. Also, the walls are thin, you can literally hear the person sitting in the other room. I understand that the hotel is economical but I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone.
