Sakura Cafe & Restaurant Ikebukuro

Food was very good and very filling! Just perfect, a tad bit too hot but very very yummy. The customer service was excellent, even got off topic but yea very nice and also spoke excellent english. The vibe is nice, only some people were loud but it was only a little bit annoying, no one else seemed to mined the people being loud so we made no fuss about it. Overall very great place for quick food or just to hang with friends or family!

Today was a hot Saturday, my husband and I wanted to go out and try something new and interesting restaurant, we saw that this place has a very big and cheesy hamburg steak, so we came here to try out. It is kind of a hidden place in Ikebukuro, a 10 minutes walk from the station. The restaurant looks big and a bit old from the outside. We went inside and got seated at the outside which we like, the atmosphere here is like a bar and restaurant, feels casual but fun. When you are ready to order, you needed to go to the counter and order it yourself, then they will bring the food to you when it’s ready. They have lots of interesting beer choices from around the world, also different food choices from different countries. We chose the hamburger gratin from Portugal and the oven-baked pork with sauerkraut from Montenegro. The food came quite quick. The hamburger gratin was big and delicious, outside is bread, and inside is juicy hamburg steak, top with cheese and tasty sauce. The oven-baked pork with sauerkraut tasted more like a German dish, the pork slices were big and juicy, there were 2 and 1/3 slices pork with lots of sauerkraut. We were very happy with the portion and quality of the food and drinks. It’s a great place to eat and drink with friends or your date, we will come back to try more interesting food on the menu!

just came here for an iced latte! but staff was friendly and helpful. decently priced, was 320 yen for the iced latte. which is cheaper than a lot of places i’ve been to! sugars, syrup, ect is free and self serve. music was a total vibe, love sza 🫶

Great local vibes in the heart of the red light district of Ikebukuro, just down the alley from a SM club and I wouldn't change a thing. This place is fantastic for foreign food with a good spin or coffee while talking.

Free wifi + warm + friendly service! I got the green pancake, and it was actually really cute. Came with animal crackers + cookie crumbs to sprinkle on top. The sauce is very thick, not very green, but still delicious.

Cute cafe along the side of the road and probably one of the nicer spots to eat in Ikebukuro. Menu is all over the place with dishes from all around the world but the food is decent, the prices are reasonable, and the service is so nice.

This little cafe was across from our hotel. The staff are great and accommodating to tourists. The cafe is known for their all-you-can-eat breakfast buffet for 300 yen. You get all the coffee, toast, soup and tea you want. I've been for dinner as we were given coupons as guests of the hotel. The food is a mix of Japanese and Western dishes, like curry and pasta.
