If you’re looking for something a bit different, Bar Sal Gordo offers a fresh, modern take on traditional tapas that really stands out. Every dish we tried was excellent — the beef tartar was rich and flavorful, the tacos were bold and balanced, and the cauliflower couscous with salmon was light, creative, and perfectly prepared. Even the olives served at the start were full of flavor. What stood out just as much as the taste was the presentation. Every dish looked fantastic — not just ours, but everything we saw coming out of the kitchen. This place has real style and attention to detail. It’s a local spot with a Spanish-only menu, which adds to the charm and authenticity — something I truly appreciate. Prices are a bit higher than typical tapas bars, but the quality absolutely justifies it. A big thanks to our waitress for her warm, energetic, and professional service. A memorable and genuinely special dining experience.

A truly surprising restaurant experience. The oxtail donut and the cold soup are must-tries. The risotto was also delicious, and the fried cod was presented in a very unique way. Everything was excellent. Many thanks to Ive for the warm and enthusiastic service.

We came here for a quick bite and loved every bite! The steak tartar was delicious and the ox tail donut was out of this world. The ceviche was different & creamier than what we have had back home but still flavourful. They were unfortunately out of the croquettes. Tapas are a bit pricier than what you find at a traditional tapa place but we didn’t mind with the food we got as it’s comparable back home. Service was quick & nice.

I loved it. Everything is so unique with twists on Sevilla & Andalusia classic dishes. Don’t skip the Gazpacho which is a cold soup of fresh vegetables and it is made very well here. The bread is just have because WOW. Perfect bread. The fried chicken was salty for us. The ox tail donut was my absolute favorite. Very sweet & savory only order it as a sharing dish. 2 of us couldn’t finish it because it was powerful. The house cava is right up my alley in not being sweet. There’s outside seating and indoor seating with windows so you experience as if you’re sitting outside.

If you're looking for something a bit different, Bar Sal Gordo offers a more modern take on traditional tapas dishes. Every dish was really tasty. While a bit pricier than regular tapas bars, the cost was still very reasonable for the quality of food. Even the olives provided at the start were really delicious. I tried a local sour beer, which I really enjoyed. Loved the mushroom and prawn risotto and the ceviche.

This place is popping! Came when they opened at 730pm and snagged an alfresco seat immediately. Ordered a few dishes: Cold soup which was super refreshing and light, the jamon bits really added to the overall balance. 5/5 Oxtail Donut!!! This dish blew my mind! Looks sweet on the outside butit was filled with tender and savoury slow cooked oxtail. The donut was also perfectly crispy! 6/5 Canneloni Ropa Vieja. Shredded beef in two large canneloni. Tasty and decadent 4/5 Risotto. Truffle risotto with one large shrimp. Done really well. 4/5 Cod fritter with honey foam. We sent this dish back to the kitchen as it was way too salty. The staff and kitchen were nice about it and confirmed that it was indeed too salty. Handled it very professionally. Shootout to our server Ive. She was the best!
