Sala Baï Hotel & Restaurant School

Sala Bai is an amazing training restaurant skilling up disadvantaged students to work in the hospitality industry. The food, both Western and Khmer, was amazing at reasonable prices. (I did the set lunch) |Portions sizes were great and the food scrumptious.|Slightly out of town along the river and set in a quiet location with fans, to keep you cool the service was impeccable with friendly staff who were attentive and helpful.|Highly recommended.

I went to the restaurant which was great. 3 course meal, all beautifully prepared and presented. The trainee waitresses were lovely, quite nervous but actually did a great job. It's a wonderful project to support disadvantaged youth into employment. The short tour of the school afterwards was also brilliant to see what they provide for the trainees. Would like to go back for a massage too.

I had a wonderful two night stay at Sala Bai. You can find many hotels in Siem Reap, but doubtful you'll find somewhere as uplifting as Sala Bai where you can see and hear about the students as they begin their careers in hospitality. The students were fabulous, and I also enjoyed a talk with one of the staff about the ethos of the school and how they achieve their aims. I will remember my stay fondly.

I gained invaluable experience working with guests from different backgrounds, and the feedback we received helped me refine my skills while building my confidence. The emphasis on hospitality and customer service taught me the significance of making every guest feel special, which is a lesson I will carry throughout my career, Beyond academics, Sala Bai fosters personal growth. The friendships I’ve formed here are some of the most meaningful in my life. We support one another, celebrate each other’s successes, and share in our challenges. The camaraderie we built during our time together makes my heart swell with gratitude, As I prepare to graduate, I carry with me not just the skills to succeed but also memories that will last a lifetime. Sala Bai Hotel School has opened doors I never thought possible and ignited a passion for hospitality that I will cherish forever. What an amazing place! The food was absolutely delicious - easily 5* star hotel quality. Extremely good value ($14.50 for a main and dessert). The staff were super attentive and only happy to help! What an amazing charity also - one set menu meal helps train one of the disadvantaged student for one day! They train 150 impoverished students every year from all over Cambodia and ensure they get a job in a sector of their choosing - front of house, beauty therapy, chef, housekeeping and the restaurant! They were lovely and like to practice their English with customers. Couldn’t fault the experience - a MUST go in Siem Reap, to support this wonderful cause and enjoy the delicious food!

What to say about our incredible experience a few weeks ago. Genuine smile and groundbreaking kindness with a very professional attitude. I can not ask for more. I love the project since day one and I’m glad to be able to contribute to the growth of the project by coming for a few days stay at the hotel and having meals at the school. This is a must in Siam Reap. Thank you to all the students, teachers and staff members who operate daily to provide such an amazing experience. Everything was surprisingly great. Food, drinks, laundry service, the design of the school, the people who give this place such an extra vibrant touch. If only I can do this more often, I would ! Thank you Sala Baï ! 🙏🏼

This is an incredible place, with good service, delicious food and a beautiful purpose. They give scholarships to poorest of the poor teenagers and make them excellent professionals.

Went there for lunch and a massage. I recommend both very strongly. The place is first ans foremost a school for young Cambodians from difficult economical background which receive there a one year training for free. When you come here to eat, sleep or have a massage, you allow all of them to concretely train for their future career. The results: you're greeted there by trainees, slightly stressed but truly dedicated, who treat you amazingly well. The food is great though we only could pick a Christmas and western menu due to the season. For the massage: when I went they were offering only traditional khmer massage (with clothes and without oil) but I recommend it. It was the best massage I had in a long time
