Art and Culture in São Paulo

"Located in an elegantly refurbished wing of the Julio Prestes Train Station, the stunning Sala São Paulo has a capacity for 1,500 people and is one of the most important cultural centers in the city. The home of the Symphonic Orchestra of the State of São Paulo is said to have some of the best acoustics of any symphony hall. Its orchestra members come from several countries, and performers visit regularly from around the world. It’s a must-visit for those who enjoy classical music, and even for those who don’t, it’s worth dropping by to see as the building itself is an incredible sight." - MATADOR_NETWORK

We all can say OSESP has reached its place among the top orchestras in the world! And Sala São Paulo also has one of the best acoustics on the planet! Every experience in this place is really impeccable! The building is amazingly beautiful. It's a must go!

We came to watch the conductor's amazing concert by Shostakovich Q The event met all expectations, the atmosphere was very beautiful, the sound quality was exceptional and everything was organized down to the last item. At the same event, we were privileged to witness the farewell of the band's violinist, A very exciting event

The hall itself is EXCEPTIONAL beautiful. Well maintained and spacious, the acoustics for the orchestral performance are breathtaking. The seats are fairly comfortable, such that you have no issue remaining seated for upwards of an hour. There's seating above the main audience as well as small mezanines at the sides for a somewhat more private experience. My only qualm would be the cafés outside; while there are two of them they aren't capable of handling the size of the crowd in bulk. Arrive at LEAST a half an hour early with your ticket in hand to make sure you have a smooth entry and can enjoy a nice coffee before the performance.

Gorgeous revamped train station into symphony hall, world class performance, neoclassical epic space, an inspiration and national treasure.

Sala São Paulo is a world class music venue. Osesp is an amazing orchestra. I highly recommend both.

It is a beautiful place to have both visual delight at seeing the Sala itself as well as auditory experience by listening to the musicians performing. It's food for the soul. One feels privileged to be there. Before the symphonic, people sit have either soup or a glass of wine or browse the pretty gift shop.

Nice room, with a superb acoustics, the best place to get in touch with classic music in Sao Paulo. Easy to park (in the back of venue) an I recommend to get here by Uber or taxi. Nice cafe inside, small so get crowded during intervals.

It is a concert hall where we can feel good echo of sound. There are sometimes complimentary concert. It’s worth to go and listen melodic atmospheres. They have parking lot. Surrounding area is danger so it’s better to park there.
