Salaam Bombay

Had one of the best experience at Salaam Bombay restaurant. We had a reservation for our dinner, and it was easy to reach at restaurant. Atmosphere was super, not chaotic at all. They have variety of cuisine and dishes. Me and my friends were delighted with the food and overall experience that we went there next day as well in our 3 day trip of Budapest. I am definitely looking forward to be there once again when I will be in Budapest next time. P.S. one of the best mocktails, would definitely recommend to others!

Service is at par. The place is serene and perfect for a fine dining experience but the food is not authentic. Tomato soup was good, mochito was good too, but pulao, which was the main Indian dish I ordered, were just hard zeera rice. I couldn’t finish the small bowl of rice they served. And my stomach is still aching.

One of the best Indian food in Budapest . We had dinner at this place we ordered appetizers and then four main dishes with different kinds of rice and all of them were amazing and had good taste. If you try it once you will try it again.

This by far one my best experience in an Indian restaurant. First - the food is accurate according to the traditional Indian food. Made with attention to details and with lots of love. Spicy level is good but not too much. Second - the atmosphere is wonderful. The restaurant is well designed, very comfortable and calming to sit inside. The music is nice and calming. Third (and very important) - the service is one of the best I experienced. The manager is moving around really quickly and provides everything you need. We ate at Salaam Bombay at noon and the place was almost filled with people, yet the feeling is that everyone is getting service and the food comes out in time. I must mention that the manager is not moving around like he is stressed and projects an excellent control for all the diners. Will definitely come back again for another meal as soon as I get a chance to visit Budapest. Thanks for everything!

I had been to this restaurant 3-4 times quite some time ago and went back there based on my excellent earlier experiences. Unfortunately, this time was a poor experience. The food was just about satisfactory and in summary, I would think twice before going back. Ambience and service was good but could not compensate for the unsatisfactory dining experience

The waitress is rude and not welcoming at all. Dishes were bland and below average. Tomato soup seemed to be made from ready-to-eat sachet. Curry was tasteless inspite of requesting for it to be spicy.

Great food! The Butter chicken was fantastic and the Tikka Masala was very good. Portions were just right.
