The hotel is in a beautiful region and the exterior views are great. Also the staff try their best but I am writing to express our sincere disappointment with our stay at the hotel. We expected the standards of a 5-star Rotana property, but unfortunately, our experience has been far from that.
We are not even focusing on the fact that several areas of the hotel appear poorly maintained, that our room has an unpleasant smell, the curtains are uneven and look messy, the phone in the bathroom is broken and emits a constant noise, that some of the gym equipment is out of order or not functioning properly or that a staff member entered our room today without knocking.
What disappoints us most is the service. I understand that the hotel currently has a low number of guests, but this cannot justify the lack of basic amenities and service standards. If the hotel is unable to provide proper service during this period, perhaps it would be more appropriate to temporarily close.
If it were possible, we would have already changed hotels.
This has been a very unfortunate experience for us. We simply wanted a relaxing stay, but instead, we’re facing constant frustration. For example, this evening we were unable to have dinner at the hotel because many of the ingredients listed on the menu were unavailable.
Very disappointing.
