Google
Salcedo Market has a lot to offer, tons of food choices, drinks, and random finds, which is great if you love variety. You can pretty much get anything here, from local eats to international dishes, and even unique snacks you wouldn’t usually find in malls. It’s definitely a nice spot for a weekend food trip. That said, there aren’t a lot of tables, so good luck finding a place to sit if you come during peak hours. Also, for a market setup, I personally find the food a bit overpriced. Some stalls are worth it, but others feel like you’re paying more for the hype than the actual taste. Still, if you don’t mind standing around or eating on the go, it’s a decent experience. Just be ready to spend more than you’d expect for “market food.”

I had such an amazing time here. I cannot wait to take my foreigner friends to get a taste of what we have to offer as a country all in one place. I suggest you come super early to get your table so you can try it all comfortably. I will definitely be back again, and if you like farmers markets, you will love shopping for produce here.

Google
My favorite market as of writing. If you like to see night markets, weekend markets. You need to try Salcedo Weekend Market. Although it's on the pricier side, you get to see diversity on the items/foods being sold. Been here twice and I would come back again. It's also located in a park so it's not too hot when it's noon. There's also a playground and dog area in the park so it'll be a good morning activity for families and furparents.

It’s great to come by at least once. There’s a lot of variety in the market, everything from some snacks and finger foods to an entire meal and desserts. Despite the location, the price is indeed expensive but somewhat reasonable enough. This is especially true because a vast majority of the stalls are very small businesses.

Google
Really love the food here. Makes me wish I live nearby as the traffic going in and going out can be pretty bad especially during peak season. I wish there was a way for the organisers to manage this issue. But aside from the traffic, this is always a highly enjoyable food trip experience for me.

Google
A good place to visit during the weekend. Plenty of good options including fresh produce. Just be a bit mindful as there are usually lots of people going there especially if you are bringing kids. You can enjoy some artisan pastries here together with regional delicacies.

Finally the sun is out and we decided to go to Salcedo weekend market. There were a lot of people and also an ongoing Brazilian activity. The atmosphere was very festive. Kids were playing at the playground while the parents shop. We bought Thai and Vietnamese food which we ate on one of the picnic tables. We took home pandesal, empanadas, chicken and beef biryani, phad thai, shrimps from Alavar, "suman and inutak" ( native rice delicacies), pomelos and buco kefir. There were a lot of food to choose from. Our visit was short but we had fun!

Google
Salcedo Weekend Market was a fun morning/afternoon out. Lots of different stalls, from fresh food and produce to cooked BBQ and bakery items. Something for everyone. Grab drop off point by Starbucks too so it's easy to commute there. Only thing would be if the stalls would span the entire block because after maybe 30 mins of walking you'll find that you've done it all!

Yelp
Wonderful outdoor Saturday market. Fresh groceries, fresh prepared foods and some crafts. A great opportunity to try a lot of different foods in one place. Great prices!

AL K.

Yelp
Great outdoor market every Saturday only. I make it a point to s Visit this market every chance I get. Over the years it just gets crowded due to its popularity with the locals and foreigners alike. Bring cash, some vendors do accept credit.

Angelo B.

Yelp
Its a little smaller than what I expected, but there is still more than enough to eat here. Many international food options. Since I'm just visiting, I tried to focus on the Filipino food... options mainly consisted of chicken/pork/skewers. Everything that I tried was fairly tasty (above average), and prices were very reasonable compared to similar markets in the US. There were also vendors selling produce. It was a little crowded, but not overwhelming. I believe that all places are cash only. Note it was impossible to get a Grab car back to the hotel, so I ended up walking.

Kalei J.

Yelp
Love all the home cooked pinoy food its only a few yards from my condo and when i am there i look forward to going. Got the best grilled food ever the pork, the chicken, the beef and the bangus. Its a must stop by. Lots of other foods to as well. Goid for families a childrens park to. Salcedo village..i just love this area.

Yelp
There are two outdoors farmer's market in the area. Legaspi Village which occured on Sundays and this one, Salcedo Village Market that occurs on Saturdays. I love both these markets equally as each provides a little something the other does not. For me, I go to the Sunday Salcedo Market for freshly cooked breakfast and lunch food. For my needs there isn't much going on as far as fresh produce or small locally made knick knacks which is just fine. I'm really going for the ambiance, people watching opportunity, in a space that is a little larger and more widespread. I think the number of vendors here is larger than Legaspi, but again I come here for different reasons. Makati needs more outdoor markets! Support local.

Khryzza Mae P.

Yelp
I used to go here every Saturday when I was still living in Salcedo Village. Must try for me are: - Salmon lasagna (French) - Sourdough bread (British stall) They also sell vegetables but some are priced more than the grocery pricing.

Gaby D.

Yelp
There's something special about the Salcedo Market that keys me coming back. As Rafik's says, it's definitely habit forming. Whether it's the community feel, or the different aromas and flavours around, I look forward to the Salcedo Market every week. I love the culture and community here. It's a warm gathering, with many familiar faces and smiles. The Salcedo Market features more than 50 vendors, and everyone who comes here has there own favorites to come back to. A lot of the food here is made fresh and most are homemade and heirloom recipes. There are cuisines from all over the world, so you can have a taste of different international flavors as well as local delicacies. Salcedo Market is a place where locals and visitors can both enjoy a thriving community gathering, all with the common passion for good food and good vibes.

Phoebe C.

Yelp
It's a must go place if I have friends visiting Manila. For myself, you will definitely see me there if I'm in town. No need to explain more, fresh vegetable, fruits, ginger beer, BBQ,.... you can find everything fresh here, but, with a expatriât price for foreigner......... Great place to hang our every Saturday in Makati!

Tristan R.

Yelp
Its like the counterpart of Mercato in BGC. Unlike Mercato, Salcedo Market opens at 6 AM in the morning and on Saturdays only. The place is situated in a park that makes it a place to bring your kids. I suggest you to here at 6AM so that you can get a headstart on checking all the products of the shops before it gets crowded. There's taho, burgers, shakes, lobster samdwiches, chinese cuisine you name it they have it. I recommend the lobster sandwich its at the center of the market place. Monster Burger was a good buy too and try the lamb shawarma. You can buy water at the upper left of the place where the event coordinators sit.

Bill R.

Yelp
Super cool open air market! Found tons of different ethnic foods here: French , African, American, Filipino. Fresh fruits and veggies! Don't miss the fresh smoothies!

Charleen B.

Yelp
My favorite Sunday market! They have so many options that are not only refrained from just the traditional Filipino foods, but they have almost everything your foodie heart may desires from Greek, Italian, American (fried watermelon which is my all time favorite), etc! There are many foreigners who shop & eat, so it's nice to meet new people while you're sitting eating your food. Be sure to come with lots of cash and an empty stomach because I guarantee you will be using both when you come!

Boyet V.

Yelp
Nice crowd, good selections and reasonable price. Not as big as other weekend markets, which makes it great. Reminds me of the farmers' markets here in the US.

Tim B.

Yelp
Right smack in the middle of Salcedo Village's Jaime Valelasquez park comes this food Market every Saturday, from 7am-2pm. A good selection of food items, you'd definitely have a hearty breakfast and a full tummy until you leave. To compare with other food markets, i guess the Salcedo Market has more exotic and more high end food selections. Half of the marketplace is dedicated to food stalls while half for raw items and fresh vegetables. Tables are available if you want to dine in, with friendly stall owners. You can also get free tastes to help you decide. A good option for a lazy Saturday weekend with friends or family. You might even get to see a famous celebrity or two just like we did.

Patricia P.

Yelp
I love going on weekend markets specially Salcedo Market. One main reason is , Yan Ling fresh lumpia veggie wrap. It is a must to try. Also, I get native goods like Keso Puti, Lime (Dayap) and more. I love the vibe of this weekend market.

Jade D.

Yelp
I lived in Makati 8 years ago and was there for two years. And then I moved to Quezon City. And then to Paranaque. But one thing remained consistent, my love for Salcedo Community Market. I've been there going there since they started out 8 years ago. I used to bring all my officemates who had work on weekends there for lunch. I've bought from all vendors in the area and love each of their wares and food. Whether I'm walking to the weekend market for 5 minutes or driving an hour to get there, I make sure I visit at least once month. There's a part where they sell seafood and fresh fruits and vegetables. They have some that are organic and I really love buying from those. This is also a great place to find unique food that you won't find in malls or in restaurants -- including fresh carabao's milk, authentic Italian lasagna, dulong spread, pritson and even fried frog's legs. Among my favorite sellers are the Batangas people near the end of the row by the entry area, they sell the best suman and some sinaing delicacies (these are steamed fish in banana leaves. Their suman is always fresh and delicious. I also love Ginang Bukid, this homebaker has been my go-to people for Chocolate Mousse -- it has always been and will always be my favorite and my potluck staple. Get the one in regular versus the black & white if you're trying it for the first time. There are really so many vendors I can talk about all day, but my best tips is for you to go there to experience it for yourself.

Miriam A.

Yelp
I love both these markets equally as each provides a little something the other does not.

Gerome R.

Yelp
Great selection of food to choose from. The produce looked good as well, but I was there for a quick bite and unfortunately my room didn't have a kitchen for me to prep and cook.

Issa T.

Yelp
Makati may seem like a bit of a drive from Parañaque, especially on a weekend morning when you should be sleeping in, but Salcedo Market is worth the travel. I try to go once or twice a month for all the awesome things sold there. Most of the stalls here focus on food. Whether it's fresh seafood or produce, or finely cooked cuisine in almost any style you can think of - Indian, Thai, Filipino, Brazilian, you name it. After satisfying my cravings for fresh buko juice and the best damn wagyu shawarma in the world (usually found at the front of the park near the drop off point, fyi), I usually hunt down the stall that sells my favorite crispy catfish salad and samosas to take those home. It's also a great place to find beautiful orchids and local crafts. Visiting the market is always a treat, due to the wide and colorful variety of pop up shops. Recommended for anyone who wants to see how cultures can mingle and co-exist in Manila.

Kaity C.

Yelp
Every Saturday, the Jaime C. Velazquez Park in Makati's Salcedo Village becomes a bustling center of activity for those seeking delicious, artisanal food items, organic produce and even interesting arts and crafts finds. Set in the green, leafy car park of the area, visiting the Market can be a fun way to start your weekend. To avoid the crowd and get first pick of the produce, it's best to visit the market during the morning when it opens at 7 AM. At around 11 AM, the crowd starts to pour in and since it's an open-air market, it can get quite hot. When you're at the market, make sure to check out the artisanal and locally produced ice cream, the Spanish pulpo and the different kinds of fresh bread. For the all-natural eaters, several vendors have organic fruits and vegetables ready for the taking. So hurry on and don't forget to bring an eco bag for all your great discoveries.

Yelp
Although I frequent the Legazpi Sunday Market, I walked across Ayala to Salcedo village one weekend to try out the Salcedo Saturday Market. I saw a lot of the same vendors in present in both the Salcedo and Legazpi weekend markets, but I noticed the Salcedo Market is a bit more for the foodie than its Legazpi counterpart, so there's less of the trinkets and cosmetics and artsy stuff, and more food, food, food. Some of my favorites are Auntie May's salpicao, Pizza Morena's pepperoni and hot honey pizza (the tomato sauce is so yummy here, it tastes sweet!), and the caramel apples of Bad Apple. If you'd rather cook your own food, the market is also a good place to get fresh ingredients, from meats to sauces and seasonings to vegetables. I went there in the heat of summer, so even if I made a beeline for the fruit shakes, the shakes were long gone. They sold out early in the day. :( There's more space to walk around in the Salcedo Market than the Legazpi Market, but a lot less shade. The general dining area is by the park, and walking off the lunch/merienda calories with a leisurely stroll around the park is quite relaxing. The Salcedo Market is at the Jaime C. Velasquez Park every Saturdays. Sometimes, events held at the park (like Art in the Park, or perhaps a musical performance) will coincide with the market, making it doubly interesting.

Danyella P.

Yelp
One of the best things about living in Salcedo Village is that every saturday the Jaime Velasquez Park gives place to the Salcedo Community Market. Since it's set just in front of my condo, I'm a loyal customer. I consider it the perfect place to buy all kinds of organic products directly from the producers. On the various tents you can find fish, vegetables, greens, flowers, honey, detox juices, artisanal ginger beer, snacks, roustic placemats and so on. Everything here has a local taste of the Philippines. It's so picturesque that I go there with all my friends who come to visit me in Manila. I've been there several times and never got tired of the place! I suggest having lunch at the market. There's a stall that seels a great wagyu beef shawarma and another one where you can find a wonderful eggplant lasagna. My favourite stall, however, is the Brazilian Bakery! I almost had a heart-attack when I saw a Brazilian flag there in the market. Oh my God! I was missing so much my country's typical food and I would never expect to find "pão de queijo" and "coxinhas" here in Manila, since they're popular street food snacks in Brazil. So now I have my place of resistance: everytime I miss my country, I go there to eat! Try also the brigadeiro, our chocolate popular candy. Just amazing!

Yelp
Always a fun spot for a Saturday morning grocery run. We're always here for their fruits and veggies; along with any "fresh" seafood we can find. The prices are decent (depends which vendors you buy from). The crowds are a mix of "bougie nouveau riche" and some tourists and some artisans and some (actually) decent foreigners and a sprinkle of decent locals just grocery shopping. ;) We enjoy the people watching and getting good deals from our "suki" fruit stand guy. The weather is a big factor when visiting Salcedo. Be prepared to sweat. We're here rain or shine; or on humid days and even on the God-forsaken scorching 35+/90+ degree weather.....but again, still good times. ;) just wear a thin, comfortable cotton shirt and you'll be fine.

Bee M.

Yelp
So much good food from different vendors. I forgot to jot down the names of the different vendors, but you should go there, there is something for everyone.

Edwardson S.

Yelp
This is a pretty cool market. I've traveled all over the world and I've found the coolest and best food in this market. If you are a tourist, be ready to haggle for the right price. I come here with a t-shirt and shorts to shop. Make sure you don't wear anything too flashy so you wont be a target to be jacked. The street foods are to die for and you wont be able to find them but here. Make sure to bring cash because cash is KEY.

Joey E.

Yelp
Have not seen this place but very interested to check it out? See you soon? Sorry can't make more comments until I've seen and tried all the nice looking food choices very soon? Anybody who have been there can you please help me give me the best chance of getting a parking spot nearby the marjet!? Thabks po!

Joff C.

Yelp
Every Saturday at the park in Salcedo Village many vendors get together to sell their products. The vibe is quite wholesome and pleasant and I always try to visit at least twice a month. What I like most about this event is that it's different - normally we do our shopping in malls. You'll also find products here that you can't find anywhere else. There are a lot of tasty treats here such as ice ream, barbecue, ginger beer, fresh vegetables, and popsicles. The cuisines range from French to Indian to Taiwanese. Aside from buying ready-to-eat food you can also do some of your groceries here. There are fruits and veggies as well as frozen meats. There are also people who sell crafts, plants and things for the house. Compared the Legaspi market this one is smaller and has less vendors. However there are less people.

Nicole R.

Yelp
For those 'I want to eat something but I am not sure what or I have nothing specific in mind' moments, it's best to go on a food trip and search for that particular dish your taste buds have been looking for. If you have one of those moments, Makati is your best bet for your never-ending search for good food. And now, they do the work for you by bringing you two weekend markets-- Salcedo Market (on Saturdays) and Legazpi Sunday Market. For now, let's just focus on one so as not to overwhelm you. Salcedo Market is a haven for those looking for a good food trip place since they serve several grills, skewered meats, shawarmas, local delicacies, regional staples and everything else in between. For your friends who are health nuts, this can be a great place for them to drop by in since the market offers a wide array of organic produce that will make you burn money fast--not that they are expensive. Honestly they are too inexpensive that you would want to buy them all! So next time you have those bum but hungry days, head on to Makati and have your weekly dose of food feast!

Beting D.

Yelp
What I miss most about living in Salcedo Village is their once a week market that has some of the best food in Metro Manila, all at prices below the good restaurants. The Salcedo market is open only on Saturdays. It is on this day that crowds of people go to the parking lot-turned-market for shopping and eating. Specialty foods are brought in from the nearby provinces and in a lot of cases are cooked on the spot. As a Batangueno, I have my personal favorites like the assorted suman and the tawilis from Taal lake. There are barbecued foods aplenty, as well as regional dishes. A Vietnamese entrepreneur used to sell dishes from her home country, but I haven't seen her lately. She may have gone back to her homeland, but there was no shortage of food entrepreneurs bidding to take her slot. Aside from freshly cooked food, Salcedo market also has frozen meats and seafood. The better to stock up with for the coming week. There are also non food items for sale such as plants, but my focus has always been on the variety of foods. Parking is not a problem because it's a weekend so the streets surrounding the parking lot are open for free parking. This market is the perfect place to have an impromptu picnic with family and friends. Quite incidentally, some of the sellers also head for Legaspi village which has a similar open market on Sundays. But in my book, the Salcedo market is better as it offers a greater variety of food, fresh frozen.

Mo M.

Yelp
You know what? I love Salcedo. I love the fact that they have many of the big name restaurants that I used to have to brave BGC/Alabang for. I love that they have a park (with many dogs!) So it's only natural for me to love the Salcedo Market. It's only a 10-15 minute walk from my condo / the heart of the Makati CBD, and they offer everything under the sun. They've got the best curry puffs I've tasted outside of Assad's Mini Mart, and the best organic produce at great prices! There's also a few stalls that sell plants, little knick knacks, but Salcedo Market is really all about the FOOD. It's easier to park along the stretch of HV Dela Costa rather than brave the many one-way turns around the Market, since it does get pretty full. There are also many banks near the area, so you can have your bills broken down, which makes transaction easier and faster. (No Credit card payments, obviously!) The Salcedo Market is adjacent to Jaime C. Velasquez park (Salcedo Park), which is good if you've got kids (and kids at heart) because they can enjoy the playground and go have fun with others their age.

Pauline Y.

Yelp
Without a doubt, this is my favorite outdoor market in the city. In my opinion, it outshines them all. I've been coming here for years now and while I don't get out there every Saturday, it's not uncommon to find me there perhaps every other month or so. Salcedo Market has everything! Really. From organic burgers to crabmeat sandwiches to wagyu burgers to shawarma to Filipino fare, it is likely to carry what you have been craving for. Apart from the food, my personal reason for loving Salcedo Market is because of the organic products that they carry. From coconut sugar to delicious dips to extra virgin coconut oil, these are all available here for much, much cheaper than retail. There are houseplants and weave baskets available too!

Will i.

Yelp
Must go if you're in Makati! Try the French chefs amazing food, then grab some pork BBQ and finish it off by bringing a tasty treat of banana bread.

Maritzi T.

Yelp
Saturdays in Makati mean no more horrific bumper-to-bumper traffic. But, tucked away in Salcedo village lies the Weekend Market that is bustling with business. Here you can find eats and treats from all over the Philippine as well as the world over. Here you can find a plethora of food choices with reasonable pricing. If you're the type who likes to whip up something in the kitchen yourself, you can also get fresh, organic vegetables as well as meat and seafood. Foodies alike always have a bal of a time going through the stalls in the quest to discover the latest foodie find and share it with the world. I've been here numerous time to a point I memorized which stall is which or where it's located. A lot of weekend "stay-cationers" prefers to grab on the go food, or eat it with together with other foodies in the community market. One of the things you have to order here should be the: Roti Canai, the lobster rolls, the cuban corn or grilled corn, some oyster omelette and the notable churros and grass fed burgers.

Joshua C.

Yelp
Probably my favourite place in Manila, such a great variety of food, most of which is of a high standard. A must do on a Saturday morning

Kat D.

Yelp
there are a lot of great things to see and eat here. My 3-star rating is only for the size of the market itself. Don't expect it to be enormous.

Angela R.

Yelp
There are a few things that I would wake up early for, one of which is to go to Salcedo Market. Every Saturday, the Jaime Velasquez Park gets converted into a community where people bond over good food and good finds. Salcedo Market has attracted food lovers from all over the metro, no wonder it's been around for over 10 years now! Since the park is quite big, there are about a hundred vendors here selling organic produce, specialty food, and more. Some stalls even offer samples for you to try, which is great especially if you're not familiar with the product. It's also a great place to learn more about healthy living or simply just making new friends. Trust me, people here are super friendly! I even made a couple of friends on my first visit here! Whether it's for a meal, shopping for fresh products or even socializing, Salcedo Market is certainly a great way to spend your Saturday morning.

Isabelle L.

Yelp
Going to Salcedo Market has been one of my family's weekend rituals ever since I was a little girl. We'd wake up bright and early, pile into one car, and head over to Jaime Velasquez Park practically every Saturday morning. It is quite a while away from Quezon City, but definitely worth the drive. There's something here for everyone: my mom stops by her "Aling Suki" for tortang giniling (ground meat omelette) and lumpiang sariwa (fresh vegetable roll), my grandfather buys his fresh-off-the-boat fish and salad ingredients for the week, and my little brother loves his meaty share of beef shawarma after having fun in the kid-friendly playground (it's a real park after all!). As for me, I always make a run for the Fruitas stand right by the entrance for a fresh mango shake then grab my favorite sweet-and-savory barbecue with banana leaf rice to really kick-start the day. A great venue for spending that much-needed time off with family and friends, Salcedo Market is, at its core, a humble community in the heart of a bustling city.

Merril Y.

Yelp
Consistently charming Saturday tradition featuring bevy of organic and natural foods, multi-cultural food fare and foodie treats... starts early around 7 and wraps up by 2pm...
