We were camping (tent) there and it was perfect. The bathrooms are extremely clean and comfy, there are several bathrooms and showers around the Camping, they have a good restaurant there and a store. They offer electricity and drinking water, lots of shade and it's mostly protected from the wind. The restaurant has tasty vegan options. There is a supermarket 5min away by car. It's also in general very nicely decorated and maintained. They have a co-working space and WiFi in some areas. The only thing to have in mind is to bring a good hammer since the soil can be very hard in some areas. They speak English.

Honestly a bit disappointed as our expectations were higher based on reviews. At check-in they ask you to follow a golf cart to see the camping and then choose your spot freely. We quickly lost sight of it and had to drive around ourselves. The campsite is massive and all terraced making it difficult for larger campers like ours. Also very far to walk to the reception/restaurant. Think 15min plus. Also no other playgrounds anywhere but at the restaurant that we could find. There's few other options in the area.

Months ago we were originally told that reservations were not possible or necessary. Arrived today and told they were full and we had to wait for space after being greeted very rudely. We wanted to try the place out as the location seemed pretty so we still stayed. A space was found, but in the end it doesn’t feel like it was an actual space as much as a corner we were crammed into. Paid the extra rate to be able to charge our campers and also paid for extension cables as the only charging ports are located very far away from some sites. During check in we were told that they required our credit card physically and wouldn’t be able to take any other form of deposit. After returning we found we were unable to charge our campers both at the same time because the facility takes more people in than they can properly host. Eco seems only to be in the name here. In reality it’s just a resort where people are smashed on top of each other to be nickel and dimmed. On top of everything the showers that are offered are cold during the evening hours because of solar heating. I went to use the bathroom and in two separate bathrooms there were human feces on the floor.

Its a clean campsite with really good vibes! We didn't try the food there but the breakfast and espresso were quite good. The camping place is a bit hilly so it can be a bit of a struggle if you decide to park the car outside the campsite. I don't know if the staff notifies campers about the minimum distance between tents but we were caught by surprise when we went back to the tent and saw a new tent and their table right next to ours (not even 50cm distance). I understand the use of solar panels for warm water for showering but sometimes if you end up returning to the camping after sunset most likely you will have to shower with cold water.

Came with motorbike & my tent.. It's a lovely site. It can be steep in places but l had 3 great nights.. Cafe was great & felt safe here. The shuttle bus to beach was big bonus 👍 great, clean facilities in Sept 24.. Shop had all l needed... Well organised office. No drama!!!

We had a great 3 night stay here at Salema Eco Camp my partner and I. From the moment we arrived we received a very friendly welcome from Lucia the receptionist. When choosing a spot, we were most worried about shade, as we are both very hot people and wanted all day shade. She explained it is a free pitch concept, so we could choose freely. We ended up setting camp in one of the very first zones (i think 3) near reception, the restaurant and shop. Very spacious place, not overcrowded at all, pet and kid friendly. Lots of activities always going on. The coffee and cakes at the restaurant were delicious, great selection too. We personally moved around in our own car, but they offer a free shuttle to the beach and back. The bathrooms were always clean and the water pressure in the showers was nice too. i have nothing negative to say about this place, if we are ever back in this part of portugal we will definitely stay here again !! ❤️

We had the most fantastic 3 days in Salema Eco Camp during our 10-day camper van trip in Portugal, and this is why you should visit as well: After a very warm welcome and a smooth check-in process at the reception, we were kindly guided around the big camping area to choose a spot of our preference. We settled down in a nice shaded and tranquil area, surrounded by trees and in close proximity to the bathroom facilities (which were always impeccable!). We spent our days enjoying the peacefulness of the surroundings, we attended a relaxing yoga class, tried the tasty food and drinks at the camp’s restaurant (best Aperol spritz of the trip!) and got some fresh bread and ice cream from the camp’s eco store. We appreciated the free daily shuttle down to the Salema beach and were amazed by the friendliness and hospitality of the staff. Since we enjoyed the stay so much, we decided to extend our stay for an additional night. If we could, we would have stayed forever!

Amazing facilities here. Loads of camping space and close to a lovely beach. Restaurant was convenient and nice but not superb. All in all had a lovely time with our two young girls and some friends!
