Great, great place! We didn't find any campsite along our trip that can even compare with Salema Eco camp. There is loads to do with their activities (free yoga, guided walk at sunrise..) but you can also just chill and enjoy the calm nature. We met nice people there ,from guests to staff. A small piece of advice: campsite can get a bit busier in the afternoon/evening hours as it seems many are checking in or returning at that time, so we recommend arriving in the morning, choosing your spot and leaving with their free transfer to the beach or walking (1km to Salema beach :)

All campers are welcomed, no specific spots, therefore it can get difficult to find one and if you do so, it can be quite tiny (same goes for electricity - not always available). We had to look for a spot by ourselves, did not feel very welcomed upon our arrival. We witnessed a lot of fluctiation, so no problem to find another spot the next morning. The sanitary facilities were really clean, warm water is available as long as solar power heats the water. We found a spot on one of the higher areas and it was extremely quiet. Almost no noise from the other campers (most of them asleep at 10/11pm), we could even hear the waves from the sea. Scenic views included. Summary: once you find a spot you like, it is a great campsite.

Love this camping place. Will always come back to stay when traveling in Portugal. Lovely location in the nature above Salema. Clean and great showers/bathrooms, friendly and helpful staff, good shop, yoga and workshops offerings, nice restaurant with a good value breakfast buffet. I’ll be back.

We have camped all over Fishermen's Trail and this campsite takes the win. Very clean and spacious bathrooms/showers, interesting layout for camping spots as you can camp on a terrace and it feels secluded. And it is with similar price with all others - we payed 22 euros for 2 people and a small tent.

Abrigado Abrigada to the night porter tbefe in Salema eco camp site..real helpful Brazilian staff member...we arrived late, no booking with a dog. He was incredibly calm and helpful. We enjoyes the room...beds...shower and the clothes sharing depot at camp site. Very VERY appreciated tourist service. Plus it rained....every thing in nature seemed HAPPY....

If you are looking for a peaceful place in nature, this might not be the camp site for you. More suitable for big families looking for convenient camping rather than an authentic experience in nature. During our stay, they had a loud samba night with music until 11 pm. Although parked at the remote area of the park, the music was unbearable…

STAY AWAY FROM THIS PARK!!! I booked a tipi tent, when arrived I was surprised how well organised the park was. The tipi was not amazing, but it was fine for the price. Never would I imagined that this would be one of the worst camping experiences I would have. In the first night there was a disturbance with one of the neighbour tent. This was clearly a domestic violence situation and the park staff acted very poorly in this situation. I had to go to security 4 times to report the situation. Other neighbours also complaint but every time the security would come the issues would stop so the security would claim they couldn't do anything because there was no disturbance, completing ignoring the fact that more than 5 people were complaining because of the noise. The wife beater was also smoking in the tent which is prohibited and was completely drunk but security insisted they couldn't do much. The noise stopped because the wife beater ended up leaving the park while reckless driving out of the park. The security ended up commenting with me that the women, was an usual costumer and that she would always create havoc. So apparently the security staff thinks that's the woman was the problem in this situation. As you can imagine this was not a peaceful night and I was quite disturbed with this incident during the next few days. The next issue was the toilets which was the most humiliating aspect of the park. 1 toilet per gender for 25 tipi, that should not even be legal. It was always disgusting with paper and feces on the floor. It was only cleaned once a day, so it quickly would get dirty. This apparently was a common issue since the cleaning lady were always pissed with this situation and complained among each other. Since the toilet was always so dirty, some people would pee in the showers so the showers by the end of the day would get really disgusting with a pee stench. I've tried other bathroom in the park, but it wasn't much better as there were too many cockroaches. The last issue was with a yoga class, which apparently were free during the week but paid during the week. The flyers in the park and the communication in the whatsapp group didn't mention that the weekend yoga class had a cost of 15 euros. The yoga teacher didn't mentioned the cost of the class only at the end. The park staff said it was not their responsibility although they promote these yoga classes. They made us talk with the yoga teacher to settle the dispute which was a very uncomfortable. We ended up not paying for the class, but they didn't admit to any fault although the next day all flyers and communication in the park got update with the yoga class price. The staff is quite rude and don't admit to any of their faults and didn't made us feel comfortable. They absolutely ruined my vacations that I so much needed with their behaviour and poor sanitary conditions. Other annoying aspect was the fact that the tent were next to a road so it was quite noise from cars at night, but also they claim to be an eco park but they put cement infrastructure all over the place.

We were here last year and are still just as impressed. You can choose your own pitch and there are some very nice spots! A night for two with electricity costs around €29, which is totally fine. The toilets and showers are also clean. The staff are extremely friendly and we were always greeted with a smile. We will visit again in the future if we are here again.
