Beautiful setting and warm hospitality, but overpriced for what you get
We stayed at Posada Salentein and were impressed by the stunning location and peaceful surroundings. The ambiance is wonderful, with beautiful vineyard views, many singing birds that add to the atmosphere, and even a few well-cared-for cats wandering around, a lovely touch. The staff was very friendly and welcoming.
Room:
The room was comfortable, but some details could be improved. There’s no minibar or coffee/tea facilities, which we really missed in the early morning when we were already hungry and looking forward to breakfast. The complimentary bottle of wine and two bottles of water were appreciated. The bathroom feels a bit outdated: the shower handles need replacement and the hairdryer is poorly installed and not very effective.
Restaurant:
Dinner starts only at 8:00 PM and ends at 9:30 PM, which feels quite limited, and there was no vegetarian main course (rabbit on the menu was surprising). Breakfast isn’t available until 8:30 AM, which is quite late for early risers, especially with no coffee or minibar in the room. However, once it started, breakfast was excellent: both the buffet and à la carte options were delicious.
We understand that dining times in Argentina are later, but with so many international guests, a bit more flexibility would be great.
Overall:
A truly beautiful place with great hospitality and delicious wine, but at €240 per night it feels overpriced for the level of comfort and facilities offered. With some small improvements to the rooms and restaurant options, we would gladly stay here again.
