Beautiful setting and warm hospitality, but overpriced for what you get We stayed at Posada Salentein and were impressed by the stunning location and peaceful surroundings. The ambiance is wonderful, with beautiful vineyard views, many singing birds that add to the atmosphere, and even a few well-cared-for cats wandering around, a lovely touch. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. Room: The room was comfortable, but some details could be improved. There’s no minibar or coffee/tea facilities, which we really missed in the early morning when we were already hungry and looking forward to breakfast. The complimentary bottle of wine and two bottles of water were appreciated. The bathroom feels a bit outdated: the shower handles need replacement and the hairdryer is poorly installed and not very effective. Restaurant: Dinner starts only at 8:00 PM and ends at 9:30 PM, which feels quite limited, and there was no vegetarian main course (rabbit on the menu was surprising). Breakfast isn’t available until 8:30 AM, which is quite late for early risers, especially with no coffee or minibar in the room. However, once it started, breakfast was excellent: both the buffet and à la carte options were delicious. We understand that dining times in Argentina are later, but with so many international guests, a bit more flexibility would be great. Overall: A truly beautiful place with great hospitality and delicious wine, but at €240 per night it feels overpriced for the level of comfort and facilities offered. With some small improvements to the rooms and restaurant options, we would gladly stay here again.

Our stay at Posada Salentein left us with mixed impressions. The surroundings are undeniably beautiful—expansive vineyard views, a calm and quiet atmosphere, and plenty of birds adding to the charm. The team on-site was warm, welcoming, and genuinely hospitable. Room: The room itself was pleasant, though certain aspects could use attention. There was no minibar or any coffee/tea setup. There are also no wine bottle openers which seems odd. There was a distinct lack of towels. Restaurant: The dining schedule is quite limited. Dinner runs only from 8:00 PM to 9:30 PM, and the menu offered no vegetarian main course. Breakfast begins at 8:30 AM, which is late if you're an early riser, especially given the lack of in-room coffee or snacks. Once breakfast was served, though, the quality was excellent, both the buffet and the à la carte choices. Summary A lovely location and peaceful stay with wonderfully helpful staff. Priced on the higher side but it was nice to be nestled in the vineyards.

We found this Posada by chance as our planned two week stay in Mendoza Capital fell through. We ended up extending our stay to 11 nights and really enjoyed every single one of them. The rooms are spacious as well as the bathrooms. There was a courtesy wine bottle of Pinot Noir in the room and a pair of nice wine glasses. Rooms were thoroughly cleaned daily. Bed and sheets always smelled fresh and were comfortable. There is turndown service every night and if you choose not to take it, you can always take the treat! The staff was meticulous at keeping the property spotless even after the “Zonda” winds hit bringing sand and all kinds of leaves, specially in the fall! The common rooms, such as the dining area have a fire running in the morning when the temperatures can drop significantly. Since we ended up staying so many days, the staff offered various dining options and we always found the offerings to be very authentic and traditional! Since the Posada is part of the Bodegas Salentein property, plenty of good wines are available. We had our own car and found the location centrally located relative to the many bodegas we wanted to visit from Agrelo down to La Consulta / San Carlos. Proximity to Tupungato offers added flexibility. Overall days and nights are very quiet. If you walk the property which is quite large, you can spot foxes, hawks, owls and many beautiful birds. It all depends on what you are looking for. We found everything and more than what we expected. We hope you do the same!!

We did the winery tour. Magdalena gave it in both Spanish and then in English for us. It is a beautiful winery. The tasting is held in the main cellar which has a piano…great acoustics! We had 4 wines. She explained each very well. Sadly, they do not ship. They have a nice art display as well.

Stayed for 2 nights at the end of February. We loved the location in the vineyard, slightly up the hill with beautiful views of the lower lands in the morning. You'll need a car to get there. The room is large, beautifully appointed and the beds very comfy. Also liked their pool area which - despite being not that large - offered tranquility and relaxation, slightly secluded. The dinner was very good, although the selection isn't big, and the wines were very nice and affordable. Breakfast on the terrace is great! Service - it's good. If you want something to happen exactly the way you want it, talk to them so they understand exactly what you need. And check that they got it the way you want it. Also re winery visit, dining, or whatever you need help with. They kindly help also with experiences that aren't connected to their winery/ location. Thank you!! Very recommendable if you want tranquility in the vineyards, outside the hustle and bustle, visiting the Uco Valley.

Salentein is a must-visit for anyone traveling through Valle de Uco. While it’s one of the larger wineries in the region, it operates with the heart and agility of a small, family-run place. A standout from our visit was Kevin, who was an absolute gentleman and went above and beyond for us in every capacity—his hospitality truly made our experience unforgettable. The space is breathtaking and the wines are impressive.

Outstanding and excellent visit. A true paradise in Uco Valley in the Andes. Friendly, kind, hospitality (Thanks Diego for your fantastic welcome and recommendations). Such an enjoyable trip to a gourmet paradise. The foods and wines were so good. I look forward to returning! Well done and thanks for making my trip so enjoyable. Definitely deserves 5 star rating
