I’m giving this airport one star. I was flying to Vienna, and there was a huge line because they didn’t think to separate the entrances for people flying to Vienna and those flying to London. Everyone ended up in one long queue. Then we had to wait for the bus and for the other passengers flying with us. They could’ve just made one line for each gate, and everything would’ve gone much faster. The Italian mentality honestly kills me sometimes. Oh, and by the way — the London flight was later, but they got to board before us.

We were kept on the actual runway for about an hour after landing, standing directly under the sun. There was no water, no access to a toilet, and no information whatsoever. One woman even felt unwell. This has been the worst experience I’ve ever had at an airport.

An absolute disgrace, I can barely define this place as an "airport". The lack security is highly concern, and bear in mind I've only landed there so far so I can't even imagine how the Security will be on the departure. There's no place to queue for the passport check and you'll be outside regardless the weather (yesterday was so hot that one old lady felt sick and almost passed out), there's no distinction between European passaport and other so regardless you'll have to queue all together with only 2 border force officers checking all of you and no automatic reader. Since last year I've thought they'd improved something but apparently they aren't concern about passengers. Absolutely to avoid it's way better land in Naples than in this joke of "airport".

Extremely small airport, terminal on arrival was claustrophobic as not enough space, in the waiting area there are not enough seats and 2 toilets only ! when we were leaving we were waiting until 11:00 for the check in and our flight was at 12:45! never seen something like this, absolutely ridiculous for such a new airport. Also, not enough buses to take you to train station and taxis is minimum 40-50€

A nice experience: Salerno Costa d’Amalfi airport is a cute brand new airport created in 2024. Located less than 30 minutes from Salerno it is the right choice if you want to visit the Amalfi coast. Take a ferry from Salerno to Amalfi,Positano or Capri. The airport is very small at the moment but there are plans to transform it in a proper beautiful airport. Do not expect a Duty free section when you travel from here as the Departure area is small like a 3 bedroom flat. You might end up waiting for your plane outside. Staff is very professional, friendly and polite. Despite the dimensions you will enjoy the experience. I will give 5 star to the new airport

Airport itself is very small and you go through quickly, although there's a lack of seating. Biggest issue is connectivity with ground transport. There's only one car rental agency on site. Other options are a bus to Salerno train station which does not have air conditioning (took it twice) and can be a horrible experience in summer. The trenitalia buses to Salerno station also do not appear on Google maps. Otherwise a taxi to Salerno train station costs 50€. This airport cannot become a viable alternative to NAP until the ground transportation options (quality and frequency) are improved.

Still running on a sort of experimental setup, the airport is an extension of the Naples airport. Facilities are quite small and limited. An expansion is planned, but in the meantime operations are running well overall.

Great airport, extremely convenient with a good number of flights. I was impressed by how quick the checks were, both on departure and arrival. People are very helpful too. The airport itself is pretty small, and there are just two bag checks lines.
