A great place to visit. People working there are really nice, helpful and knowledgeable. Make sure you have a lunch in its restaurant. The food is exceptional!

I arrived at the beginning of March. The restaurant was closed, and only a tour was available. However, there was a nice view of the salt and sea, along with the windmill.

Great place with great history. Worth to visit before this craftmanship salina will be closed due to the fact, that each year there are less and less qualified workers, who knows the job from their grandfathers and fathers... English tour was super nice and knew a looot, because even her grandfather was working for this salina 😍 Even thou we'visited this salina after harvesting season (in October) I would still reccomend it!

Worth a trip up. Takes only about 20 mins by bus from main terminus in Piazza del Popolo near the main city fish market €8 for entry into windmill. Essentially a video and then you can go onto roof of windmill. There is a boat over to Mozia island for €5 return (every 30 mins) but entry to island is €10 as it is an archaeological site. We just stayed at the jetty for 30 mins before coming back. To get to this location take #4 bus. 20 minutes approx. It stops outside Saline of the Laguna Marsala and you take the bus from the exact same stop back to Marsala. The bus simply goes up one stop and goes back to Marsala.

SEI - Saline Ettore e Infersa has been celebrating and promoting the rich heritage of sea salt since 1996 through an array of cultural, experiential, and sensory activities. Situated within the historic 16th-century mill amidst the scenic salt pans, this unique destination offers visitors an immersive experience. Guests can explore the storied past of sea salt production, enjoy leisurely walks through the stunning saline landscape, and sample a variety of sea salts. One of the highlights is the breathtaking view of the sunset, which is an unforgettable sight. This destination not only educates but also provides a memorable sensory journey through the world of sea salt.

The ladies at the desk in the windmill were extremely kind to help me when I made a mistake with my booking. They are busy but very organised and helpful. It is a very special place, very clean and well restored. Beautiful.

Good insight in to traditional process of salt production. The guided tour starts with 10 min informative video followed by small museum visit. The guide then takes you across different areas of the premises to show the process in real life. Worth visiting.

This place is worth visiting, especially if you are interested in food and want to learn more about sea salt production. The tour was very insightful and you can feel the passion of the company to pass on information on the tradition and craft of salt production. I can recommend to do the tour around sunset time as this is a magical moment. I was there mid of November, if u want to see the truly pink waters, your should go visit in late summer before the harvest period starts. No matter when a beautiful and enriching experience.
