Our hotel highly recommended Salis to us and they were not wrong! The location is beautiful set along the port so people watching was great! We met the owner and he was so friendly and funny! The food was to die for! Started with the seasonal green salad (so good) then I had the shrimp pasta and my husband had the pork chop. Both were cooked to perfection! The wine menu is extensive and the prices are reasonable. If we could give a 10 out of 5 we would! Great experience! (The food was so good I forgot to take photos- next time)

The octopus carpaccio is amazing - it is quite citrus/acid forward but that’s what you expect from a carpaccio. It was probably one of the best octopus dishes I’ve ever had though. The miso cacio e pepe is just okay… the crunchy bits on top didn’t blend well with the rest of the dish so it was a bit unpleasant to crunch on them. The dish itself lacked dynamic and was very 2D. I wouldn’t get it again.

Beautiful restaurant with nice views. Great menu. Tasty food. All reasonably priced. Good drink selection, especially the wines. Wines from a huge variety of countries. Free raki as standard. Professional service. Looking forward to returning.

Another Memorable Visit, Still Our Favorite! This was our third visit to Salis, and it’s the main reason we chose to stop in Chania again on our second trip to Greece. We absolutely love both the city and this restaurant. The food, as always, was excellent. My wife had the pork, which was once again cooked to perfection. I tried the ravioli as my main, and we started with the grilled octopus and carpaccio as appetizers. Everything was delicious, no complaints at all! We were too full for dessert, which speaks to how satisfying the meal was. A special mention to the sommelier, who was fantastic, very knowledgeable and engaging. His wine explanation really elevated the experience and was much appreciated. If there’s one small opportunity for improvement, it would be the overall attentiveness of the service. It felt slightly less interactive this time, perhaps because the sommelier set such a high bar. That said, we still absolutely love this place and look forward to coming back again. Highly recommended! Let me know if you'd like it even more concise or adjusted further!

Great restaurant with an amazing selection of wines, very interesting and unique food menu, everything was delicious, the sommelier helped a lot with choosing the wines and the staff was very patient and lovely. Thank you very much!

The food was tasty and nicely presented. The skin of the chicken was black unfortunately, otherwise nice plates. What let us down completely was the service: 10-15 minutes for a bottle of water to arrive, 40 minutes for the plates to be served and the ordered bread/oil/olives never made it to the table. Shame for such a place, as the restaurant is nicely decorated and well located next to the yacht harbor of Chania.

We ordered the eggplant appetizer, carbonara, and pork chop. The eggplant and pork chops were the highlights—well- prepared and flavorful. Unfortunately, the carbonara was a major letdown: bland, under-seasoned, and lacking any creaminess. For dessert, we had the crack pie, which was overwhelmingly sweet. Service was slow throughout the meal, and overall the experience and food didnt justify the high prices. Sadly, this was the worst meal we’ve had on our trip. I would not recommend.
