Salis Ristorante Enoteca

Salis Ristorante has a truly stunning location – overlooking the valley, surrounded by vineyards, with a romantic and peaceful atmosphere. The service was excellent, and the food was delicious. Yes, it’s on the more expensive side, and the portions are smaller compared to other restaurants in the region, but we absolutely don’t regret the visit. We even tried three of their desserts – each one cost €10, but they were original, creative, and simply amazing. Unlike anything we’ve had before. We’re already looking forward to coming back next year!

We stayed here but weren’t able to dine as the restaurant was closed for the season. The rooms are beautifully decorated, with panoramic windows that offer stunning views of the vineyards. Sunsets can be enjoyed right from the bed. Breakfast was served daily, and the service was superb. Additionally, the location is fantastic, situated in the Cartizze area.

We had an amazing tasting dinner at Salis with a large group, and everything exceeded our expectations. The food was delicious and beautifully presented, with each dish showcasing great attention to detail and creativity. The service was equally impressive – the staff was incredibly friendly, attentive, and made sure we all felt well taken care of throughout the evening. It was a wonderful dining experience that we will remember, and we highly recommend Salis for its excellent food and warm hospitality.

Had dinner here. Best wine list and yummy desserts. The rabbit main course was perfectly cooked and flavorful. Very friendly waiter. The view is also nice, too bad its too cold to sit outside.

Had lunch while visiting. An exquisite, high-dining experience. A bit on the pricey side, but very much worth it. A beautiful location with gorgeous backdrops for photos and/or selfies. Enjoy!

The food, the service, the ambiance! Everything was top notch! The view is amazing. If in the area, a must visit.

We arrived in Santa Stefano on a Monday and upon looking for somewhere to eat were in for a bit of a surprise when literally everyone BUT Salis was closed making Salis are only option. We arrived at the restaurant as soon as it opened to be informed that without a reservation we couldn't be seated (there was no option to reserve online and no working US phones between my sister and I that could call-out) Despite this, the staff was kind enough to allow us to be seated on the terrace and provided us blankets to use as it was very chilly the evening we went and they weren't even seating people on the terrace for dinner service. I guess you could say we were the black sheeps of their dinner service that night :) Our pasta course and main meat entree course were both absolutely delicious. We started with the maccheroncini pasta with lamb ragu and mushrooms that was out of this world. Then we moved on to veal cheek that was served with a carrot puree and some type of celery based cream. All of the flavors when combined in one bite perfectly accented the veal (which was cooked to a tender perfection.) For dessert, upon our waiter's recommendation, we had the pistachio lava cake with homemade lavender ice cream which unfortunately ended an otherwise delicious meal on a flat note. Our waiter said he felt it was the most underrated dessert on the menu but I feel it's just the most undesirable. The hot pistachio lava center was just TOO much pistachio for me and the lavender ice cream left something to be lacking. Unless you just REALLY love pistachio take a pass.

their outdoor dining terrace deserves 5 stars! My favorite was the Deer Carpaccio with fresh berries and some nuts, matched perfectly with the local Prosecco. Awesome view, but less than exciting food. They boast of their gnocchi made with palenta. As a gnocchi fan, I tried it. It didn't work - bland and overpowered by the tomatoes. Good service, and remarkable views of the vineyards blanketing the mountain sides. But the food is not worth a long trip to get here. If in the area, you probably won't do better.
