My girlfriend and I have been planing on going to check out the Seafood Tower as well as the view in the night time, over looking Vancouver and the harbor. Based on a co-workers suggestion. We were both absolutely satisfied with every aspect of our experience. Great service, calm and peaceful atmosphere. Gorgeous view of the city all lit up at night. And the value for what quality of the seafood!! OMG the Candied Salmon was amazing! The lobster tails were on point!! The feast bowl with Thai coconut broth with potatoes, muscles, clams and prawns and crab legs was better than I expected!! I highly recommend finishing the evening with the, recommended, Cheesecake Ravioli!! Another hit!! All around wonderful experience! Will definitely be coming. Back for round two 😋

Google
We came here for NYE dinner! Fair priced set menu for a special evening at $125 per person! Bread, Starter, Main,Dessert and a glass of sparkling wine to toast with! The bread to start is delicious! I mean its chunks of bread with butter, you can’t go wrong! I had the Golden Beet Salad to start! DELICIOUS! I mean really really gorgeous in taste and presentation! Had the Ribs for main course and they were spectacular! The potato that it was nestled on top could have been warmer but the overall taste was delicious! The Lava Cake was not good, sadly! Dry…with no “lava” as one would anticipate with a classic lava cake! Service, Atmosphere and View- 100% on point! So wonderful! We were a party of 7 people and we all enjoyed our meals! It was a fantastic way to spend New Years together and such great value for a special occasion night!

Google
Highly recommended place to visit! Food, services and atmosphere are great! All types of salmon were great, especially the salmon tartare and sweet smoked salmon. The baked cheesecake ravioli were delicious.

Google
It has been my favorite spot for a nice night view of the city while having dinner over the hill. The foods are always delicious.

Fantastic view! Good for celebration or any special occasions. The seafood are pretty good. But the steak is a bit dry.

Google
lovely mountaintop restaurant with a gorgeous view of vancouver. i love the chalet vibes and the decor inside. the staff are all so friendly and it was easy to walk in get a small table on sunday for dinner. food came super fast and the service was attentive to detail. the bread was ok with a good salmon butter, 100/10 oysters, and i enjoyed my seafood stew. crab was nice but not much of it, mussels amazing, and clams + salmon just ok.. love the broth though!

Came here last evening to celebrate a special anniversary and was pleased to have gotten a window seat. Atmosphere felt warm and tranquil. All the dishes we ordered were quite good but not excellent - wife said the salmon was a bit over done. Asked the waitress after we paid if we can sit for a bit to chit chat but she advised table would soon be needed so we decided to leave. Ended up sneaking around the corner to a “private / do not enter” space off a balcony terrace to spend few moments glazing the scenery. This is an OG restaurant for many so glad we were able to attend one last time before it closes for good in 2 weeks. Thanks Salmon House for being a great spot to celebrate milestones in life.

Google
Seafood tower for two is so fun for a date/celebration! Everything tasted great, some things were particularly spectacular like the in-house candied salmon, the crab salsa, the butter for lobster and the sauce for the oysters. The view can’t be beat too. Service was the best I have had in a really long time. I’m really surprised that I have lived here for so long yet never heard of this place. Give it a try if you haven’t yet!

Yelp
View was beautiful, service was great-very attentive. We all enjoyed everything we ordered! For dessert, I really liked the rosemary honey crème brûlée. A bit on the pricier side but think of it as paying for the view!

Yelp
Salmon House on the Hill is as its name suggests, perched high on top of a hill in West Vancouver. The view from this restaurant is breathtaking and it would be challenging indeed to find another restaurant with comparable views to the ones found at Salmon House on the Hill. Featured here: Salmon House Seafood Chowder Salmon House Sampler Alder Grilled Salmon Trio Dark Chocolate Lava Cake Affogato Did I mention how great the view is from this place? The food here is way overpriced so it's really the view that you're paying for when you come here. The Seafood Chowder was a very tasty soup but really not our idea of a chowder. Chowders are usually thicker whereas this consisted of a thin, light broth. It was a wonderful soup and the light broth was perhaps better for our stomachs than a typical chowder would have been. Just that it didn't quite fit our concept of a chowder. Some of us found the salmon to be a bit overcooked. The restaurant was good enough to have the kitchen cook another order of it for one of us (only one of us dared to complain about it), and they didn't charge us for the first order. The second one was an improvement, but could have still been a bit more moist. One person in our group who has a nut allergy began to have a bit of an allergic reaction to something he ate. After consulting with our server who then went and checked with the kitchen it was discovered that pecans had been used to make a sauce that had been on top of his food. The restaurant apologized and didn't charge us for this dish either. It's really quite surprising that they didn't think to list the pecans on their menu. When so many people in the world have nut allergies, it should be standard procedure for any restaurant that uses nuts, to list those nuts on the menu. This would enable customers with nut allergies to make more informed decisions when choosing what they'd like to order from the menu. Oh, and the Dark Chocolate Lava Cake wasn't very Lava-ish. Having already deducted two entrees from our bill though, we weren't about to go and make a fuss about the Lava Cake. Service: Good Parking: Plentiful and free Location: 2229 Folkestone Way, West Vancouver, BC

Yelp
A true West Vancouver classic! Went there regularly in the 90s when it was the 'IT' spot, and now we go at every special occasion. The seafood is always fresh prepared perfectly, and the service is always impeccable. They will be undergoing a large renovation, so go while they are still open.

Yelp
View is great but the service is atrocious. Waiter is extremely unfriendly. No hello, how are you. Common etiquette of greeting guests is just out the window. Disappeared after taking the food order. Must be a Canadian thing. Poor customer service Ugh! Debating if I should be tipping. Ok. No tips b/c I believe one has to earn it.

Yelp
I like the ambiance, the view looking out from the restaurant. The food is good! The service is great! Always ask if you need anything else!

Yelp
I have been here several times over the years, always excellent food, good service, unique atmosphere, a classy restaurant at a beautiful location. One of the real treats of living in Vancouver.

Yelp
Beautiful view- well worth a visit on a clear day. You really can see everything from here! We were in and our very fast for our meal- quick service (maybe even too quick!). We had the trio of salmons- very well cooked, and my take is they all taste really similar! The tuna appetizer and Caesar salad were also very good. We also got the bread with salmon butter, mostly to try the butter! It was fine but not super salmon-y. Overall- the food was very good AND the view was wonderful as well. The restaurant seems older from the outside, but was a great experience overall.

Yelp
What an amazing dining experience! Can't believe that I haven't frequented this place more often. Was able to get a table on short notice on a Friday night. When we were seated, they places at this beautiful table at the windows overlooking Stanley Park. $1 billion view! Our server was excellent! Was attentive, but not intrusive. The menu was great. And you can tell they take a lot of pride in being a salmon specialist. Try the three salmon dish. Scrumptious! Reasonably priced for a upscale dining establishment. Highly recommend for dates, business meetings, or just getting together with friends and family.

Yelp
The restaurant decor has an undying classical elegance, that combines First-Nations art, and wood. At the entrance stands their wine showcase that splits the space into their window-wrapped dining room and lounge area. The lounge has live entertainment on some days and can be booked for special occasions. The seating layout is designed to give everyone a a view out of the windows. There isn't really a bad seat in the house. Sometimes restaurants that are known for their view, sacrifice on the quality of food and service. At Salmon House the experience is a 100% from start to finish. Everyone is warm and welcoming. From the hostess, to the servers, to the busser, you receive nothing but top quality, professional attention and care. The seafood cannot go without being mentioned either. The food tastes great!

Yelp
Excellent service. Incredible food. First time in 8+ years I've finished my meal before my husband. I had a special, it was salmon, fingerling potatoes, green beans, carrots, zucchini and carrots with a pineapple salsa. Absolutely amazing. Outstanding view of the city lights. Impeccable. Will be back 100%

Yelp
Fine dining in West Vancouver. The waitress was very responsive and very attentive to customer's needs. The royal miyagi fresh oysters a frequent favourite of mine. There was definitely no slippery taste nor any minor rocks in the oysters. They did a very good job in cleaning the oysters, after all, fine dining like this lives ups to its standards. The white salt rocks adds a nice touch for decoration on the plate. The combination of mussels and potato fries was pretty good. Surprisingly, that little bowl holds a lot of mussels! The duck breast was cooked well, chewy and exceptionally edible and easy to consume. The sable fish and tempura prawn was an absolute favourite combination that I enjoyed very much. Yummy for my taste buds.

Yelp
Service: 10/10! Friendly, Quick to cater, Professional & very aware of their customers. Venue: 10/10! Gorgeous traditionally Canadian interior decor with a splendid view of Downtown Vancouver. Food: 10/10! Perfect amount, perfectly accented flavours... Compliments to the chef for the delicious Salmon varieties, mussels, clams, Risottos etc. Nothing negative about this place.

Yelp
This is one of the most classic old school restaurants that Vancouver has to offer with it's idyllic views of the beautiful city as this restaurant sits on top a hill (hence the name). They have old school charm and values that they take very seriously and show this through their extraordinary customer service. Every employee wears very professional black and white ensembles and wait on you like your the queen of the house on the hill. From coat check, to friendly and lightning speed service. Their food also includes quite classic flavours and may not be super exciting for foodies but its flavours that are familiar and a great place to go as a big family. The portions are decent sized and presented beautifully. Now on to my favorited... could you go to a place with the word salmon in it and not indulge??? I don't think so...we'll not for me at least. The salmon butter that comes with the bread adds a nice smoky creamy note. Trios are my faves as I get to try foods prepared different ways and guess what it is? You guessed right...salmon! Candied, gravlax and smoked...mmmmmm; candied is just melt in your mouth amazing! Now on to the entrees I love variety so I go with another type of trio except this one has three different types of salmon instead of being prepared differently; coho, sockeye and chinook with sockeye being my favourite. Now if you're looking for something other than salmon I'd go with the creamy seafood risotto or lobster gnocchi. I'm sure that the meats are great but as a rule of thumb I always tend to go for what the restaurants specialize in. Enjoy the views, family time and great food with phenomenal service.

Yelp
Overall the experience was fairly good but the salad we found to be very basic for the cost of it. It needs capers and some sort of other veggies on it but the dressing is delicious. Our mains and the dessert were delicious so we will definitely be back someday. They also gave us one of the best tables in the whole restaurant!

Yelp
Lovely spot on the hill with amazing views of the Vancouber skyline and inlet. Go early to view the amazing sunset. Food is very nice especially if you enjoy fish. Staff is super firendly and you are not rushed at all. Definately a must come back in summer to enjoy the patio

Yelp
What a great experience here. It's too bad we couldn't see the view so we'll have to come back for brunch. The food was AMAZING, the portions were big and the service was fast. It is a bit pricey but it is worth what you pay for. We had a bunch of appetizers to share: the crab napoleon, the salmon carpaccio and the chorizo stuffed calamari. While all 3 were good, the calamari was a surprise hit. One of the girls had the salmon trio which was a good mix of flavor. Another had the sablefish which was very very good. I had the lobster gnocchi which I really had to finish coz it was so good. We definitely plan to come back in the New Year.

Yelp
We visited for brunch in August and really enjoyed our dining experience. With two young children, it can be a challenge, but they had plenty of high chairs, coloring material and a kids menu. When we requested options for the kids that weren't specifically put together on the menu for them, they put something special together and the kids ended up with a lovely pancake and eggs platter. Our meals were also really tasty. I had eggs Benedict which was served on I think it was a hash, not the usual muffin in any case. The staff were lovely, the location with a view is nice and the food was satisfying and worthwhile. We're looking forward to returning when things open up a bit more again!

Yelp
Companion and I arrived for dinner @7:30 and were seated immediately at Table #1 at the glass windows in front. Our bus person arrived quickly and provided glasses of water with ice. Our waiter arrived a bit later. I started with a Caesar salad which contained fried capers, grana padano cheese, a nice dressing and very crispy bread rounds. Companion had spring rolls which were nicely cooked to a golden brown, but the dipping sauce seemed a bit odd . It contained a lot of chopped chilies and had an odd flavor instead of the usual sweet chili that is usually served. For the main course, I had smoked sable fish. It was served with roasted Jerusalem artichokes, baby squash, baby carrots, all of which were perfectly cooked. In particular the Jerusalem artichokes were beautifully roasted. The dish had nice flavor and a good sauce. Companion ordered a Salmon trio consisting of Chinook, Sockeye, and Coho. It was served with baby carrots, baby squash, slices of pepper, and small cut potatoes. Of interest is that each type of salmon was seasoned with a different seasoning and was served over a maple glaze. My dessert was problematic. It was described as being a green tea Panna Cota with Chantilly Cream, Matcha green tea, and fresh berries. Most of the dish was not as described on the menu. The "Panna Cota" was nothing like any Panna Cota I have ever had. It had an odd texture, and had a lack of Matcha flavor. The Chantilly Cream was nicely created, but the berries, while pretty, were so thinly sliced as to contribute no flavor to the creation, though visually, they were very nice. The cut up blackberries were disturbingly ugly and took away from the harmony of the dish. Topping the dish was a bent tuille, which had nice flavor, but did not have the crispness that a tuille should have. Companion had a Maple Walnut Tart with Caramel and Walnut gelato, topped with spun sugar, walnuts and a sliced strawberry. Companion enjoyed the dessert. Cudo's to our bus person for excellent service. Cudo's also to the chef who cooked the fish to perfection. Dings for the salad being cut into too large pieces to be easily eaten. Dings for the waiter who took almost 15 minutes for our check. Dings for no toilet paper in the ladies room. 4 stars for excellent fish, and great table busser.

Yelp
We booked a table to watch the Honda Celebration of Light Fireworks, and everything about this evening was fantastic. When we arrived, a table near the windows was not yet available, but the staff was so kind and accommodating, they seated us nearby so that we could start with drinks and appetizers. As soon as a window table was available they re-seated us, and we had a spectacular view of the water and the fireworks. I started with a selection of fresh oysters - they were fresh, cold and delicious. On to the main event - the whole Dungeness crab. It was delicious and perfectly steamed. I tackled that like a boss! But it left me with no room for dessert, just wine. ;)

Yelp
The view ! West Vancouver deserves, and demands a place like this. The view is amazing! The service terrific!!! And the food was good! No need to go into town if here, and worth the trip out to see the city from this vantage point.

Yelp
If you love seafood this is the place! Breathtaking view of the bay and downtown Vancouver! Nice decor inside, excellent service, nice presentation of the dishes. Good quality and fresh. Moderate to expensive prices but worth it. The place is romantic so bring your first special date or come with your "better" half ! You will enjoy ! If you are in West Vancouver I recommend to give a try.

Yelp
A place that is timeless to me, everytime I come here it brings me back to another time and yet it creates a new memory for me. Your very close to a 5, and I would have to say that you are 4.5. From when I was young and my father brought me here, this place was known to have good food, and a wicked view. Now many people know about this place, the inside may look the same as before, but sometimes things should be kept as they are. Just off Highway 1, and through some small roads I always get excited coming here for the food. The first time I was here, which was way back when (the place has been around for 35 years!) I had rabbit, and even though the last few times I have been here, I did not see this on the menu, I always remember my first time. Lot was filled with the prestigious cars like the Porche's, Ferrari's, etc... gone are those years but the restaurant remains. Not too long ago I ordered the sable fish here, and it was absolutely amazing. Tender, moist, full of flavour, and fresh. Another time I was here I ordered alder-grilled spring salmon. I guess tastebuds do change when we grow up and I enjoyed my sable fish order way more than the salmon I had recently here, but it was still done well. The service has always been top-notch here and it has that casual feel in here. No need to dress up for a wine and dine, but knowing your getting great food is a plus. The portions here are a fair size, nothing overly big, and neither on the small side either. The wood finish gives this place a very warm feel, something very British Columbia about it, from the totem polls to the hanging wooden canoe to where this restaurant is located. Surrounded are trees and greenery overlooking downtown Vancouver. If you have never been here, come to eat, even come to have a drink, but do come on a clear day or night, or your not seeing anything. The illumination of the bright downtown core, combined with the lights of the Lions Gate Bridge are quite a sight. I can't really say anything about anything non-seafood here, I mean the name of the restaurant is 'Salmon House' not Angus's Ranch, so I come here for the seafood, but looking at what other people have ordered, the meat looks attractive too, as you can see them char'ing the meat up on the side. I still remember bringing my date here, which would now be my partner now, and just another great memory from this restaurant. If you get a chance, on a good night, probably Friday in the lounge, there is live music, and sometimes accompanying that is singing, adds to the atmosphere of the place, still one of my favorites.

Yelp
You can eat delicious salmon with great ocean view. Don't forget order some BC white wine. I prefer the desert and each of them are sooooo tasty to try nest time.

Yelp
Fantastic place for seafood lovers! The salmon house on the hill is Charlie a restaurant that features seafoods plus a few meat dishes. The three of us dined here for a birthday dinner and we are enjoyed the variety of the seafood dishes. Great place, friendly service, comfortable seating, and a beautiful view along way with amazing seafoods!

Yelp
A great place with a view of the Vancouver skyline. We arrived around 6:30pm and were seated quickly. Service was good and attentive and we didn't have to wait long or the appetizers and entrees to come out. I had the fresh oysters and stuffed calamari as appetizers. Oysters were fresh and came with a lovely minionette sauce. The calamari was stuffed with wild rice. My Haida Gwaii sablefish entree was rich in flavour and a good portion size. I couldn't finish it as it came in three small filet pieces. Nicely smoked on alderwood for a unique flavour. Was too full to try the desserts!

Yelp
I would have given them two stars but their waitress for our table was really sweet and nice. The blonde hostess who greeted us was very rude because she completely ignored us when we said hi and was plainly at her sight. She didn't even look at us as she came 40 cm within us to grab something from their podium and then proceeded to take a couple to their table. Her colleague acknowledged us and checked us in then the blonde hostess took us to the table. Glad not to have to see her again in the evening due to the unpleasant start. Otherwise, everything was fine but not as stellar as it may have used to be. They have a true lack of lights in the parking lot which can be a bit dangerous though I know they want to retain the view. Safety might be something to consider over beauty. The waitress was welcoming and kind, always checking on us and very courteous. The ambience was ok but a bit of a letdown for a place known for their atmosphere. The view is beautiful and so reserve next to the window. If you want to see it nicely go up to cypress mountain to take some real photos of the view. We tried their chowder and prawn salad. Really excellent. I'd recommend the chowder as it's truly full of flavour and ingredients. The salad doesn't live up to its price for just 3 small prawns though the salad dressing was tasty. The sablefish was melt in your mouth tender and delicious. Id highly recommend it and well worth it. After blue water cafe, this is the second place that does it so well. The salmon trio is something special to try and done perfectly. The sauce was interesting and maybe they could add about more greenery on top for more vegetables and to look nicer than just one skinny asparagus. The chocolate fondant was a surprise as I don't usually like lava cakes but the waitress recommended it. I was the only one who ordered the dine out and so that was the dessert I went with. If anything redeemed them if not the view and kind waitress, it was this! It was like sweet dreams exploded in your tastebuds and melted in your mouth. Really rich in chocolate and creamy texture. Don't miss out on it. I would otherwise recommend it for a nice evening out at least once or maybe lunch time to see the view for an expensive meal, view and if your dinner partners are out of town. Probably check on Seasons in the Park since it's actually in Vancouver but that's a different view you get to see. If not for the rude and unpleasant hostess, then I would have given them 4 stars.

Yelp
I'm allergic to seafood, but was convinced to come here because of the view. I'm glad to say I did, because the view is stunning, and worth the effort to get here from downtown Vancouver. There's not a lot of options if you don't eat seafood, but I went for the rack of lamb. It was ok but not wonderful. Others in my party had the Salmon House Sampler, which is a collection of various dishes in smaller portions. They said it was very good, but I would have to take their word for it.

Jeremy G.

Yelp
We had a really nice meal here. The service was excellent. All of the fish was perfectly cooked. The halibut special and the salmon trio were excellent. The ravioli cheesecake was a charming dessert. Covid procedures were clear and easy.

Yelp
I really enjoyed the dinner experience here. Our server was amazing! Lots of extra staff to clear plates and refill water. There was live music as well and the restaurant was packed full of diners. Great vibe overall. The seafood chowder was okay. I liked the version at Horizons more. This one was a bit underwhelming in flavour. There was plenty of seafood bits but I found the chowder base a bit bland. My favourite was the sesame crusted ahi tuna entree and honey passion fruit cheesecake! Ahi tuna was cooked perfectly. The potato and veggies went well with the tuna. Cheesecake was beautiful, creamy and light. Great way to finish a meal :)!

Yelp
I greatly appreciate the Salmon House resolving a 'Gift Certificate' issue that, at no fault of 'anyone's', occurred in the middle of this COVID pandemic. My issue was resolved by 'Diane' at Customer Service and finalized by 'Sunny Kim' at Head Office. It was resolved in a most professional, caring and respectful manner, as one could ever expect. I too, have worked in 'customer service' for more than 35 years and know how people should be treated and how issues should be addressed. The ownership of this very reputable restaurant, should be very grateful and thankful for having these two very special employees. Not just for the fact that this is a very well known venue but I will certainly return and forward off "my story" to my friends and colleagues on account of this 'class act' shown by these two individuals. Thank YOU....for caring! For that alone... I rate and give YOU ... "5*****'s"!!!!! Your returning client. GS

Yelp
Amazingly good food! The service is incredible and everyone is really nice!!! The view is breathtaking, without comparison. The desserts are really marvellous, I was completely satisfied after eating and I sure would like to come again!!! If you are visiting vancouver you should really consider this restaurant. It's worth it!

Yelp
I agree with it still being a great location with amazing views. And the food is still excellent. But what lies in between is not good. It has very much changed and not for the better, nor is it the food that is the issue, it is the service. Our server was cold and imho not well suited for this job. Her demeanor was more curt & hurried and not friendly, though the place was quiet with apx 8 tables in all (mostly tables of 2's). At least three times through our meal we had to sit waiting, to catch her eye or anyone's, and then wait again for her to retrieve missing cutlery etc that we had been forgotten and not provided. The young busser was uncomfortably awkward with his interactions with guests, amplifying the chilly tone of the service. All this when you're paying hundreds of dollars for an evening out? Uh, no, I think not. Far from what this restaurant has been and far from fine dining. Then there is their dress code, 'smart casual'. What a joke. There were ppl wearing shredded jeans and t-shirt looking like they'd rolled out of bed after a bender, and their friend looked like they'd spent the day gardening in bushes. In truth there is no dress code. So why did we bother dressing for a fake dress code? Why have a dress code when you don't have one? It's stupid. Have a dress code or don't, but do not pick & choose if or when it applies. It's nonsensical. Then came the kicker... The screaming baby that shrieked and cried ALL throughout our whole evening. Beginning to end. And the parents laughed. No one else did. Other tables turning their heads in frustration & annoyance to the screams. It was horrible, a total disruptive to all the other rattled guests. Not once did they take the baby outside or for a walk etc to try calming. Nothing. While other's have taken the time to plan and organize a sitter so they could enjoy a nice peaceful evening out without the kids, and what should've been a relaxing break, instead to face ear-piercing screams and shrills. This is a complete lack consideration. To all the other guests it was apparent this was not acceptable. Sacrificing all your guests for one clueless garish table. That was unwise. This is not a McDonalds. The poor table directly beside them must've turned around to look at them a dozen times. We thought they were going to lose it, which would've been understandable at that point. It was bad. A last straw experience. And where dinner for two is easily $200-$300, what are they thinking? Such establishments need to be prepared for this if they are to allow babies or very young children. There are ways to handle this and diffuse it, but clearly this wasn't handled well but ignored. Who's the priority, all the other patrons dining and the focus to have them frequent (and reputation of the Salmon House), OR the one ear-shattering table who rarely if ever comes?? Again, the back of house, the chefs, the kitchen & management and their food is excellent. They are clearly carrying this place. But to the detriment of the restaurant as a whole, the front of house is the failing weak link and in real need of expertise in management, table staff and service. We won't be going back.

Yelp
New Year's fixed price menu dinner. Salmon was TINY. Sides were almost invisible, there was so little. Guess what? $60.00 JUST FOR THE NEARLY INVISIBLE ENTRÉE. I'm sorry, but every review I've read raved about the view, only one raved about portions. They either have an eating disorder or were high. You're paying for the view and the name, NOT THE FOOD. If you want a view so bad, go downtown and look out of the windows high up in one of the skyscrapers. This was not worth the gustatorial effort. 'Ooh pretty' doesn't fill your stomach. It barely makes an appetizer's worth. Boo.

Yelp
Delicious fresh seafood as one would expect in the beautiful city of Vancouver, BC, Canada. Wonderful views of the harbor and we could see from the panoramic windows right back to the bridge we crossed and across the picturesque harbor to the hotel where we stayed. I had the 3-ways dish which had salmon, prawns and a white fish (I forgot which one). Delicious. The appetizers were delicious also, the salmon spring roll stood out in my memory. I will diffidently go again.

Yelp
The service was really good! Our server was Jennifer, she was nice and asked if we needed anything, she also checked up on us and gave us information about the food. We started with the tuna appetizer, and it was really tasty so 10/10 for that. Our mains were the lobster pappardelle and the rack of lamb. My boyfriend was happy with what he got, but my main was meh. The lobster was over cooked and chewy so that was disappointing. Other than that, everything was nice and the staffs treated us nicely.

Yelp
Overpriced tourist fare. I tried their lobster gnocchi, which at nearly $50 should've blown me away. Instead I got a starchy, dense, and blandly sauced gnocchi with overcooked lobster. It's obvious people come here for the view, not for the food.

Yelp
We had the Signature Tower for two for $100. Arguably one of the better value items on the menu. Having looked at the menu online, I originally figured out if you divided this by two, you'd have a meal, but it is more like an entree. So you're paying $50 for your entree versus $38+ other entrees on the menu. The premium reflects that your items are not cheap. Here's why it is an entree: You get a small lobster tail (a good mouthful of lobster meat), 1 1/2 scallops, two asparagus, some veggies with a half piece of halibut in a Thai broth, two small pieces of tuna in a delicious sauce and some candied smoked salmon and a bit of crab salad. So to feel satisfied you still need to have something more. That means ordering another appetizer and afterward possibly some dessert. Only then might you get to feeling satisfied. Nonetheless we had a good time, enjoyed the awesome view and the waitress was really nice. We sat in the 'bar area' which was actually worth it - got good service and only two other tables were occupied in that room. Not a cheap place but worth trying out...

Yelp
We Went For Sunday Brunch, Terrible Service, And Food Was Questionable. The Management And Staff Lack Experience. They Eventually Brought Out Large Trays Loaded With People's Orders Sat It Down At A Station And Then Ran All Over The Place To Ask Which Table It Was For, They Didn't Seem To Care That It Was Getting Cold.

Yelp
A bit of a disappointment. The quality of the food has definitely gone down over the years. I have eaten at the salmon house over the past 40 years and based on previous experiences was expecting a lot more then what we received tonight. The service was good however the food was boring. Seafood chowder tasted like it came out of a can and our main courses were not very exciting. At a lesser restaurant the meal would've been satisfactory however at this calibre of restaurant I expect a lot more. Also disappointing was paying for bread and not even a free dessert for the birthday girl on a party of nine people. It's their prerogative to charge for dessert for the birthday person however I don't think I've ever been to a restaurant before that's not given the birthday person a complimentary dessert so it was disappointing to see the $15 mediocre desert on the bill at the end of the night. I don't see myself going back.

Yelp
What an amazing dinner we had at this restaurant tonight. There were four of us in our party and we ordered two of the Seafood Towers. Oh my goodness!! What a fabulous meal! Thank you Jennifer (our excellent waitress) for your suggestion that it was a large meal and we may not wish to order appetizers. It was in fact more than enough delicious food for two people. Dungeness Crab Salad, Candied Salmon, Chilled Prawns, Fresh Oysters, Marinated Shrimp and Maple Shallot Mignonette. The view was unbelievable and so was the food! We will be back for sure.

Yelp
We were very disappointed with this place and for the price and the view, there are other spots in Vancouver you can experience this with a better overall experience. Notes: - food was good and cooked well - it is perhaps "ok" to try this place once if a) you want to try things grilled on the "alder grill", b) you want a beautiful view of the city - it was VERY poor service, and for a Thursday evening when it was not busy, we expected more. It took 10 minutes for the waiter to greet us. We did not once have our waters refilled during our dinner. And we had wait forver to have our plates cleared, and longer to try to find our waiter to get our bill. When he did come out, he was chatting with the table 2 tables down for 10 minutes, so we flagged another waiter down to ask for our bill and express our displeasure. For the amount you pay and the time it takes to travel to this place which is out of the way, NOT worth it. I'm only giving it 2 stars because the food was good.

Yelp
Un-freakin-beatable view. Wow. Wana see Vancouver from afar? Come here. I visited for brunch and was blown away. Good service, good ambiance and great ceilings. Order the chocolate pancakes with bacon and maple syrup ooooooo jeeeeeeeeeeeEEEz wow licking my lips just thinking about it. Decent portion, perfectly cooked. The omlettes are aight and the salmon looks good as well. The seafood pasta is very generous in portions and the eggs benedict looks very on POINT. Love it, will return.

Yelp
My wife and I have been here a few times and it just doesn't disappoint! The view and service are exceptional! This last time visiting, I had the rack of lamb cooked perfectly!...in fact everything was fantastic....except the calamari. Rats why not 5 stars. It was heavy battered, seemed overdone and not a lot of squid. Surprised me as I thought seafood was a specialty. I won't order that again but will go back for sure!!

Yelp
Great view! First time trying the vegetarian food (but forgot the name), tasty! Friends tried the paella, good comments too. Little one tried the lobster pasta, big thumb!

Yelp
Dined here last weekend for a celebration with a family of 12. Beautiful view but the 3 times I've been here its been cloudy and drizzling, with a glimpse of the view when the clouds lifted briefly. Oh well, you don't come here for the view, you come for the food... right?! The service was great from start to finish. Very friendly and professional. The Caesar salad to start was tasty, however, I was dissatisfied with my entree. It was the seasonal Halibut special that was a bit over cooked and on the dry side. Everything that accompanied it tasted great, the sauce and veggies etc. Another guest ordered the same dish but unlike mine, their fish was moist and flaked off easily, so maybe mine was a one off. I should have spoken to my server but didn't. By the look of the faces of other members at our table, the lobster special was a hit. Being a seafood restaurant, some of us were hoping for spot prawns to be on the special menu as they are in season, but were surprised that they weren't listed on it. 5 star service, 2.5 star food.
