Salobre Hotel Resort & Serenity

Visited as a couple as needed a break from everyday. Hotel is located up in the mountains near the golf courses and its a perfect spot if you are fan of this sport, although we are not one of those people we have enjoyed the views and the silence ( forgetting there was some building work nearby which did not bother us at all) we were happy to be away from all busy beach resorts. As well as the golf equipment the hotel offers electric bicycle rentals, free shuttle to the beach, shuttle to the nearby market, spa,gym, various fitness classes and also a restful sleep program. It was a perfect spot for us to relax. The staff was very professional at any level providing excellent service without being intrusive, always polite and helpful. The food was just amazing! The quality and variety we were very impressed not to mention that every dinner is a theme, they serve Spanish, Street food, Italian, Asian just an example so you won't get bored of the same. We stayed in Double deluxe room in "Yuca" section of the hotel - the room was as advertised and very clean as well as the rest of the hotel. Must mention they have four swimming pools which 2 of are public, " the sunset " pool was our favourite with 180° views onto the mountains and the ocean and warm water, there is also a "secret pool" if you are able to find it...Overall we spent excellent time at the "Salobre" and returned home happy and well rested. I can highly recommend it if you are looking for somewhere to relax and rest!

We were the last to arrive on Sunday night and we were greeted with “Welcome back”. It was gone 10pm and the kitchen were prepared to cook for us. This is the difference. This is our second stay this year. The service is incredible. They have thousands of people passing through, but they make you feel special. We love this place. The accommodation is great, the food is exceptional, the service is why we keep coming back. Visited the beach twice and today went to the market at Mogan and managed to spend a fair bit at the market which is busy, hustle and bustle and well worth the trip. It is our wedding anniversary this weekend and there is nowhere I would rather spend it!!!

The Salobre is a beautiful hotel. Everything is spotlessly clean. The staff are very friendly and well trained. The food in the buffet restaurant is excellent with a huge number of choices to suit all tastes and nationalities. The golf staff are excellent and always on hand to help. Free golf in September is an excellent deal. This was our 5th visit and each visit lives up to expectations. We have made some lovely friends who also return year after year.

We went last September and returned this September after having an amazing time before. From the moment we arrived we felt relaxed and at home. Greeted with a glass of champagne and a friendly smile. Checked in without any issues whatsoever. |We were on floor 10. Room spotless and woke up to an amazing view. The food in the restaurant is delicious, fresh and has something for everyone. There is also fish and meat cooked while you wait at night and different theme nights to keep things varied. |The rooftop pool is so relaxing and tranquil with far reaching views and a large pool too. |We used the gym several times and this was well equipped. We also went to the Spa. My wife had a head massage which she really enjoyed and we spent 3hrs in the Spa using the sauna and steam room on another occasion. There are many classes to do if this is your thing which are done through the hotel app which tells you everything you need to know. |The hotel put on a free bus transfer to maspalomas several times a day so you can have the peace and quiet of the hotel or the more busier town with the lovely beach and various shops. |The hotel is so peaceful and tranquil and it just makes you so relaxed from the moment you arrive. The staff are a credit to the hotel with their hard work and big smiles. If you want to relax and enjoy the food in lovely surroundings then this is the best hotel in the resort. Can’t wait to visit again in the future.

We had a fantastic stay at the hotel once again for the third time and twice this year. ||The hotel is just pure serenity and very quiet.|The food every night is resteraunt quality and food is delicious. We had a lush Suite with a fully equipped kitchen which was nice to have s dishwasher!||The Spar shop is a nice walk too and sells everything. ||Couple of criticisms but they are so minor The Cabanas (level 11) should have power outlet charging for each bed and definitely a extra member of staff to go round instead of us having to go to the bar. Not the staff now as they are so busy all the time but extra. We would have definitely spent more and it would be a good way of staff to get extra tips.|Also to sell Ice cream but the staff told me they don't have much room up there. |Also the bar to be open earliar then 12pm, not just for alcohol but nice to have a coffee early morning.||We struggled with the air-conditioning in our room in 1101 despite numerous engineers coming out. Rooms need to be alot cooler!||Can't wait to rebook ASAP

Lovely setting. Away from the main town and resorts. A place to chill out. Great golfing facilities and leisure facilities, spa is definitely worth a visit. Gym is decent. All staff we engaged were most helpful and friendly which is why we like this place. Food offerings in the main restaurant are good. The other lunch spots are great, different menus.

Great resort and Hotel, good food and friendly staff. On site golf is of decent quality. The old course played long as there was little run and several greens are raised demanding a full shot in. The bars and entertainment was good hotel class, the service a little slow but always with a smile. Reception helped us with a room for a shower as we had a late departure.

Fantastic stay as always. Only go if you value peace, quiet and a bit of class. Always somewhere to relax, even when full. No mass produced and noisy entertainment (thank heavens). Food sumptuous and buffet has quality rather than over extensive choice. Staff superb as always (special thank you to Patricia in the golf office). As for golf: the old course is both pretty and a fair test of skill; however, the new course, while not unplayable, is too difficult for high handicappers and in some cases badly structured.
