The place is nice, the staff are kind. The service is not very attentive. But The food is bad unfortunately. The soup was salty The trota de milanesa was hard and dry. The taco de bistec was hard and chewy. The pint of beer I asked was not available, the replacement beer was good.

Despite the slow service and chaotic atmosphere, you should go at least once for the excellent classic mexican taco dishes. The tacos are a bit on the pricey side compared to the competition, but they are well worth the money.

Very nice place ! The service is quick and really helpful, the food is good with a decent price. Menu is quite big so you have a lot of choice. We had Torta and Sharing tacos and we loved it ! The quesadillas was the best ! Definitely worth the stop here.

The tacos are just amazing!!! Muy delicioso, full of flavors....this place is heavily frequented by the locals ( so you know the food is good) the prices are pretty reasonable for a spot that's right in the middle of the historical center and a bunch of touristic attractions. They also have a wide selections of craft beer on Tap ( if that's your thing.... The people in there were raving about them) ...i usually eat tacos from the street vendors but i definitely found a new go to spot for lunch of just a quick bite when im around El Centro histórico. CHECK IT OUT... trust me!

Visited here for waiting for my connection flight. The food was so good. And the workers were very nice. The music was also good. Those combination make you feel amazing. Hope you don't miss it.

This place is phenomenal the prices are great and the food is on point had a synchronized a couple pastor tacos and a torta of pierna omada everything was very flavorful. the only thing in my opinion are the pastor tacos could use a little bit more seasoning or touch up the meat as they cut it off the trompo.

I went around noon and the place was almost empty, didnt take long for people to start trickling in though. I had the chilaquiles in salsa verde. They come with a side of refried beans and I asked for a bolillo. I've had them several times and chilaquiles here are a hit n miss. At times the salsa is mild and others a bit too hot. Overall the place is a classic visit if you are downtown. Try the tacos Al pastor and have a nice cold beer(they have it on tap). Come alone or with friends, the experience is always good. They accept cash and card payment. Enjoy.

Yelp
My husband and I came here on this Friday night because we had heard that it's so popular. We initially thought that it was a bar given the name, but they actually are a full-fledged diner. We came and in and found a table on our own, and soon our Server brought us a menu. He decides to get the Gringa Torta which mainly consists of cerda which is pork, cheese, Sevilla, celantra, and piñas! I've tried this myself and I was almost tempted, but instead I settled for the torta de milanesa. This has always settled well with my stomach, and I didn't want to take any chances. This is definitely a fast-paced type of restaurant, and it was pretty crowded when we got there. The service and food were great, however the crowd noise, big screen TV's blaring, and fast commotion a little much.

Yelp
Average place to have a beer and tacos al pastor. It's a place that many people consider a traditional Mexican Cantina however it is more like a place where you can have some tacos and a beer.

Yelp
Cool little saloon in Centro Historico serving up great tacos and cold tasty beer. They have their house beer which is definitely the way to go. Service is quick and friendly and the environment is fun and lively. Plenty of space and music being played via music videos throughout the night. Check this place out.

Yelp
What can I say, it was just that good! They have a bunch of locations in the Zocalo area, you can't miss them. But they have some great tacos for good prices! The service was great. We never had to request or beg for service. Someone was always attentive. If you are looking for a place to grab a beer and have some tacos, this the spot. There is always music playing and they have some TVs. Somehow they always had soccer playing, but I didn't care. I was just happy to be eating some good tacos. The tortillas are on the thin side, but the meat was tasty! I would say that this was my go to spot when I was in a hurry and I wanted to grab something quick. Like I said it's just that good. They have a big selection of meats and plates. Truth be told, I mostly just ate their tacos. It was what I wanted anyway!

Yelp
Old school bar and taqueria atmosphere. I had a modelo especial and my wife had an horchata. We split a couple tacos with pastor. Service was ultra quick. Very reasonably priced.

Yelp
We went here on our vacation in Mexico City. The restaurant is packed on Friday night . We decided to try something else beside meat since we've had many quesadillas and tacos for the last few days. We ordered the fried fish and make ourself delicious fish taco. The service is good, the place is loud.

Yelp
On our first evening after checking in to our hotel, we were hungry and ready for dinner. Just steps from our hotel, we were in front of a restaurant with a large piece of marinated meat that was being cooked with a gas flame on a slow turning vertical rotisserie or trompo. We decided to make Salon Corona our dinner stop. There are some bar seating in the entry area, but the main dining room was in the back. It is a fairly large room with tables of various sizes. There are many tvs along the walls and the restaurant is on the noisier side from the patrons and the music videos playing on the tvs. The menu consists of tacos, tortas, salads, mariscos, and meats of various types. We decided on to get tacos al pastor since the meat on the trompo out front looked so delicious. They bring you little bowls of peppers and lime wedges and bottles of salsa. The tacos consists of sliced meats with dices onions and cilantro. Squeeze some lime juice and pour some salsa on it and wow, it is so tasty. At $15pesos, what a bargain. We tried a quesadilla, but felt it was ok. Food was served with only a short wait. When it came time for the bill, you have to flag down your waiter for the bill. We enjoyed the food so much, we came back again another day for more tacos. Salon Corona is a chain of six restaurants as we did see other restaurants during our tour of the City.

Yelp
Oh. My. God. They have the BEST tacos in CDMX. I spent my first few days in Mexico City upset because the tacos here do not compare to the tacos in north Mexico at all. Fortunately, one of my local friends took me to this restaurant. It was absolutely packed, but the wait was worth it. My favorite tacos were la gringa. They were so good that I didn't even get a photo. Of course they have tacos al pastor, but they even have some unique tacos too like octopus tacos. They have pretty delicious flan as well. Check. It. Out!

Yelp
This place was just down the street from our hotel in Historico Centro. What a find! It's huge, and always very busy, but the service is fast, the food is terrific and the prices very reasonable. We had the whole fish. I Didn't think a fish dish would be good in a joint that looks and acts more like a bar than a restaurant. But we were pleasantly surprised. Mexico City is very hard to navigate, but if you're anywhere near Historico Centro, Salon Corona is definitely worth a visit.

Yelp
How can a seemingly simple sandwich be my favorite meal in Mexico City?? The al pastor torta at this joint is a seemingly simple thing: bread, meat, and onions--all smothered in a gooey melted cheese. It's juicy, mildly spicy, and entirely magical. Plus there's an infinite spectrum of salsas to season your torta with, so for less than $5, I'd say you've hit the jackpot with this one.

Yelp
This is a well-known location for the locals. Great place to go to get some authentic Mexican food, especially tacos, and the shrimp cocktail. My recommendation would be to go for the pastor and any of the beef cuts. Draft beer seems to be a local favourite as well. The condiments are excellent. Service was a bit slow, but it was packed. I wouldn't hold this against them though. The atmosphere is great, and the place is comfortable, very casual, yet clean enough

Yelp
Came here for dinner as alot of other restaurants were closing. Waited 10 minutes for a table, very loud in the restaurant. Ordered chicken, pork and steak tacos, quesadilla and tosta. Food was ok, tacos not very flavorful. Service was fast but slow with the bill. Also after receiving the change back the waiter didn't leave the receipt with the change, so we needed to ask for it which he then gave to us a well the missing 20 pesos change.

Yelp
The Tortas al pastor are amazing. The bread was crispy and meat so flavorful. The staff were super nice as we struggled through Spanish. Regardless, great place for food and beers on a budget.

Yelp
Totally awesome place .... Great tacos of all different types. Don't let the entrance appearance scare you away. 2 for 2 on great restaurants so far. I guess it helps to know people who come here often.

Yelp
Tasty food. Great price. Good service. Near the Zócalo. We had an al pastor taco and quesadilla and the meat was cooked well.

Mark A.

Yelp
Tried several of the tacos here, my favorite was the chorizo con queso taco, also the taco de chicharron was good. The bistec tacos, and quesadillas were just ok. There are other small taco stands that had better tacos.

Adriana Q.

Yelp
Oh my goodness where to start. 2 stars because the service was great. 0 stars for food. I had the most oily shrimp cocktail I've had in my life. I had the least flavorful tacos de al pastor. I didnt even start my 2nd one. I was so excited to come here after reading Yelp reviews. After living 2 months in Mexico, I thought I'd make this my last visit to a resturant in Mexico. I'll for sure never forget my last day in México now. Haha. :(

Yelp
My bf and I ended up coming here twice during our trip, we loved it so much. I got the tacos al pastor. The atmosphere was great and the servers were very friendly and fast!
