I had a fantastic experience at this nail salon! The space is ample, making it easy to relax and enjoy your time there. One of the highlights is their premium nail polish selection, including luxurious brands like Chanel and Hermès. They also offer super-fast Dazzle Dry, which was a game-changer for me. I was in a rush but wanted to get a foot massage, so the nail tech came up with the perfect solution. They polished my nails first and then gave me the massage while the polish dried. This thoughtful approach saved me time and prevented any smudging. By the time the massage was over, my toes were completely dry, and I could put my shoes back on right away. Overall, the combination of excellent service, high-quality products, and attention to detail makes this salon a must-visit. Highly recommended!

Google
Honestly have been here several times as the location is close. Worst nail service I’ve ever had. Always chips same or next day, they totally cut my fingers and couldn’t do a cuticle trim. Don’t use water for manicure which is totally ineffective. Will avoid now going forward. Also insanely expensive for a nyc mani / pedi

Very clean and organized salon, modern look and amazing staff. Alma and her co workers really treated me with full service and dedication! 10/10 definitely will go again

I had a wonderful experience! The manicure pedicure and massage were excellent, and the staff was very professional. My coworkers also mentioned how nice the front manager was and space is so big and air feel so fresh there , which made the entire visit even more enjoyable. Highly recommend this place

Google
So they don’t advertise their prices anywhere, and I was only going to have a UV gel moniker. I very stupidly did not look at the pin board on the desk, at the front door, which has the prices on an A4 piece of paper. So I got a, UV gel manicure, which keeps the nails a little bit harder than a regular gel manicure and it cost me $105. I cannot believe the price. Astronomical. I asked about their pedicure, and their base price for a pedicure is $46 , and a gel pedicure is $92. If I were to advise you, I would suggest you taking your own nail color, which I saw a couple of women doing when I was there. But you live and learn! The guy on the front desk Has no personality whatsoever, he just wanted you to pay and get out the front door!

Google
They did a good job but it’s overpriced even for the area.

Google
Worst manicure ever and terrible service. Upon entry I asked if they do gel manicure, they were quick to sit me down. The were unable to remove the gel, they they tried to file it off, an hour later they informed me they don't do UV gel and blamed me for not knowing the difference. The woman at the front got nasty with me. I'm here visiting for a few days and wasted close to 2 hours there and had to leave and find another shop who knew what they were doing and were kind with their service.

Mr. Kim gives one of the best massages in NYC. Highly recommend if you like deep tissue massage

Yelp
This nail salon is truly special--a beautiful space located in a charming neighborhood. It feels more like a social gathering spot than just a salon. Mothers come in with their children, and I even saw couples, including husbands, getting services together. I've never seen so many male customers in a nail salon before! It seems like, here, you don't have to drag or beg your men to join you for a manicure or massage--it just happens naturally. One unique feature is the massage option during your pedicure. Massage therapists work behind your pedicure chair, focusing on areas you prefer. While it may not be ideal for lower-body massages, it's perfect if, like me, you just want relief for stiff shoulders or upper back pain. The price is a bit more expensive, but I think it's justified. You get your nails and massage done in a spacious, non-suffocating environment with better products and exceptional service. The quality and experience make it worth every penny. The atmosphere, thoughtful services, and inclusive vibe make this salon a standout. I'll definitely return!

Yelp
Place looks nice and if you're going with a friend, it's spacious and you have some privacy to talk. The people at the front desk are dismissive and barely acknowledge you. They seem unhappy. The prices are very expensive- $95 for a callus remover regular pedicure. A gel manicure is around the same price. The foot "massage" part is done AFTER they put the polish on your feet. Wtf is that? It doesn't even feel good because they have to be so careful to try to avoid the polish. They have you in high back chairs and then try to upsell you on a back massage while you're sitting in said chair when they can't even really reach your back. It's just dumb. I have gone twice in recent months and both times the polish was uneven and thick. It looks better when I do it myself. Basically you're out on average $200 for a mani pedi and you're not treated well and the service isn't anything special. I'd avoid and will not return.

Yelp
this place has a great aesthetic but it seems like they use that to justify high prices. The pedicure packages are very expensive and even a basic one is over priced. For my manicure I just got regular polish and they must do mostly gel because the drying area doesn't seem to be something they really thought about. Its a couple of drying fans on the same table that you pick your color from so its a bit awkward as people are all around you picking a color why you are drying. I payed $5 extra for the longer wearing essie but it still chipped after 2 days, when I use this at home it always lasts really well so feels like they are diluting it maybe and that makes it less strong. The price just doesn't seem worth it besides a cool space not sure what I am paying so much.

Yelp
I understand the poor reviews... aesthetically pleasing however service is TERRIBLE and OVERPRICED. This was my 2nd time here and both times my basic pedicure treatment was rushed and subpar. The bottoms of my feet are still rough and my nail polish is very thick and all I can think of is what a waste of time and money. The woman who did my nails was giving off negative energy and I felt like I was inconveniencing her. This is a side story but my sister in law who offered to pay $15 to remove her nail polish (she didn't have any) was denied. The owner rolled her eyes and made her felt very unwelcome.

Audrey R.

Yelp
Horrible experience. Don't be fooled by the aesthetically pleasing space. They don't have the proper equipment to take off powder gel nail polish so they use a regular nail file until your nails are left razor thin. The woman doing my nails had the edge of the file running along my cuticle line so hard as she was removing the powder gel on each nail, all my cuticles were bleeding or run down and burning. I was charged $30 just for this horrible removal where most places do it for free/much less. Then once I finished my regular gel manicure I noticed how thin my nails were and how even slightly bumping them would cause them to bend or break the next day. For the most basic of services (and not even done well) they overcharge like crazy. Don't go here. I now have to go spend more money to get this fixed.

Yelp
Absolutely the worst salon in Manhattan. The owner is an absolute dread to even communicate with. She has a very negative aura to her and she is very rude! Her other family members who own other salons are particularly friendly however, I would not even go to this woman's salon, and have her make a dime, not only did I get terrible service multiple times but also after telling her I had a terrible experience. She did not even apologize! I only went back because I hive it a chance every few months and nope still same awful experience. She is even rude to her staff. Her employees know what a shitty attitude she has and they also laugh and complain about her. What a sad life she runs.

Yelp
Wonderful hair color and style with Dale, appreciate everything! Looked beautiful for a special event. They made time for me despite my later arrival due to a missed flight

Yelp
I asked for a regular (simple) pedicure and the manicurist assumed i wanted the full spa pedicure. (which wasn't even that special to begin with) It cost me 79 dollars! And when i complained at the end that I had only asked for basic pedicure, they refused to help. Long story short, I do not recommend this place and I will not be coming back.

Yelp
Awful service and an extremely rude manager. Overcharged me, defensive, poor quality. I will not be returning.

Yelp
BEWARE! They started to massage and asked how long, I said only what's included and they charged me $15 xtra I said no polish just buff and they barely buffed and charged me $10 more I asked for at the same time mani and pedi and they said they couldn't and then finished my pedi and started my mani and changed me $10 for same time. Outrageous! $35 scam!

Yelp
Just had one of the best French / shellac gel manicures in the city here. Nail tech took her time and this location is very clean. Also had a pedicure and she did a really good job. I would highly recommend this location to anyone. The price point is higher but that's due to the location.

Yelp
I come here more than I want to because it's close, and every time, I swear I'm never coming back. The technicians are, on the whole, rude. The woman I just saw ridiculed me about a ripped nail and then told me I must not take care of myself. She took it upon herself to throw out my almost-but-not-quite done coffee, but she didn't help me put on my coat or move my things to the drying area. There were no other words exchanged, she would just tap the table or my hand to indicate she wanted me to do something different. The hand dryers are freezing and she said they can't make them warm. In the past, I have also been tricked into the expensive (but average quality) services. Much better service at Jin Soon, which is not that far away!

Yelp
The first review doesn't do Salon M justice. I came here on a work meeting and this place was great! They were attentive, clean, respectful and made sure you felt comfortable. They even had a guy standing by ready to give complementary massages for anyone getting a mani. Outside of the great service and clean spa, I loved the fact that they had a wide selection of nail polish to choose from. They had the regular Essie, OPI but they also had Chanel and other high end nail polishes. - I ended up waking out with a gel mani that last close to 3 weeks and a beautiful pedicure. I'm definitely coming back here, totally recommend!

Yelp
This place is a scam. It has all the makings of a successful nail salon. EXCELLENT location smells great, looks great. Then suddenly, it all goes downhill. I asked for a manicure polish change, $15. Fine, that's great for me. I pull out $20 from the ATM and pay ahead. The lady at the front desk who is kind of rude, but I don't think too hard about it points to the table and tells me to pick ANY color. I sit down for my simple polish. I'm happy so I tip $5. On the way out the lady at the front desk stops me and goes you actually picked one of the polishes from the table that are $7 more. Oh, wait what?! Maybe I'm just an idiot. She says it's clearly marked and that it's my responsibility to check. Ok, sure, fine. I pay and leave. Honestly, I was going to buy my friend a $40 gift card on the way out but this shitty experience left me so sour that I don't want to go back to the place right across the street from my job even for just a polish change. Sigh. On top of this, I got a really negative feeling that the women in the store were super unhappy. It reminded me of the story in the NYT , "The Price of Nice Nails."

P R.

Yelp
My nails looked good but only lasted a week they charged me for a French manicure when it was a ombré. Never told me just charged me. Rude!

Phil V.

Yelp
Buyer beware, sneaky & constant up selling. Was charged over $500 for 4 mani / pedi's. During the pedi, we were given a list of pedi's to choose from. We all asked for the standard one and they keep pointing to the "sweet retreat" pedi, which was $59. We asked if that was the standard option and they said yes. They didn't give us an option to choose the standard $39 pedi. Complimentary massages were offered, then softly mumbled do you want an extended massage. Had to ask twice to understand what they were saying as it wasn't clear. A few of us didn't realize they were asking if we wanted to pay for an extra 10 mins vs "should I extend"? When I went to pay, the woman rang up my bill on her calculator. I asked for an itemized copy as that seemed very expensive for 4 mani / pedi's. She ended up writing out each service and it became clear that we were pretty much up sold on everything. She also said it's required to tip 18%. Won't be going back

Yelp
Beautiful, peaceful salon for nails and body care. It's pricey, but totally worth it! I come mostly for the massages, they are amazing! Tom is great, strong and very knowledgeable....this isn't your average nail salon chair massage. Highly recommend.

Cara N.

Yelp
I read the terrible reviews and decided to give it a chance anyways because it was close and I was in a hurry. Big mistake. There was an up charge at every turn. From an unexpected $7 polish up charge (which I was well aware of from the reviews) to extra fees for using my card to a charge for a "longer" massage I didn't order. Then the owner (I assume) was extremely rude to me when I kindly asked to have these removed. This place has so much potential - it's cute, smells nice, easy location, etc. but I will absolutely not be going back. I would give this place 0 stars.

Yelp
They were open on a SUNDAY which was great! We happened to walk by and my husband and I both got a treatment. I got the best manicure and hubby got a pedicure. Both services were done very well. I want to add how cool the place is in terms of decor. It's very clean, with burlap tied onto each table, kind of industrial looking. It was very nice. If I lived in NYC, I'd be a regular.

Karen J.

Yelp
Why is it so hard to find a good nail salon in nyc????? If you want to get a really expensive and not worth it pedicure this is the place. $60 for a pedicure a bit high I would say This place is very vague on their pricing and how much they charge you for the service your getting. Totally not worth $60.

Grace G.

Yelp
I was unhappy with the shape and overall experience and asked for the woman to fix them and she gave serious attitude. It was very disappointing considering that I go very often and it is $$

Gian B.

Yelp
No attention to detail. Even for a basic manicure, nails not filed evenly or cleaned, polish was slapped on. This was about speed not quality. And priced as a boutique service.

Noel B.

Yelp
No attention to detail, clearly they are more concerned about quantity over quality. She barely removed my nail polish before applying the new nail color & didn't even clean underneath my nails. A high price for a below average job & experience.

M S.

Yelp
Ridiculously overpriced for service that is par for the course for an in and out nail salon. I will never return.

TJ F.

Yelp
The quality of service should be excellent for the price you are paying and it is simply not. I've had better manicure/pedicures at salons where i have paid $30 rather than over $100. The female manager is also rude and very defensive if you try and talk to her. Every single time that i have come here to get my nails done there has been an issue. Although the massages are great, I would not recommend this place simple for poor quality of service.

Alesea S.

Yelp
Was there today, end up paying $80 for a pedicure instead $37 , with all extras that I haven't been aware. The whole service take 30 min, and I didn't see any difference in my feet. Very disappointed with service

Cydnee M.

Yelp
Had a gel mani/pedi. I live close to the Tribeca location and have been to the salon on a couple of occassions. Today, I was undertreated (not by all) and overcharged. I came in expecting to feel extatic about my bachelorette weekend nails and left thinking, "I need to go somewhere else to correct the manicure." The manicurist was rude and the man at the front who took my payment was even ruder. All told we spent, $440. Sean K., gel is very common and the place was empty. Bad business.

Erica S.

Yelp
My gel manicure literally lasted 5 days. It's the worst gel manicure I've ever had. And it was $50. The quality of service just doesn't live up to the price, not even close.

Heather B.

Yelp
Came here today for a 45 minute table massage with Evan. It was one of the best massages I have ever had (and I get them frequently). On par with a $300 massages at La Prairie for example. The atmosphere is very calling with great music playing in the background, nice aromatherapy oil/lotion and hot towels. I will be a regular with Evan.

Kate K.

Yelp
I live in the neighborhood and have been going here for several years...and the service just keeps getting worse. Today was the final straw. I walked in at lunch time, thinking it would be quiet and saw that it was FULL of people eating lunch on their laps. I stopped and asked if something was going on (a private party?). No, no they assured me. Just a few people having lunch. Well it clearly was not that. People kept distributing salads, drinks, (smelly) fried stuff (not to me) and I waited and waited. I finally got a pedicure (fastest possible pedi, with rudest person) and then had no place to sit and dry, although I was quickly ushered out of the pedi chair. I sat down on the sofa to dry and picked up a magazine to look at while my nails dried, and guess what, someone had spilled their oily salad dressing on the magazines and it was now on my lap. Come on. If you want to have a private event, fine: close the salon to other people but don't try to squeeze other people in and make an extra buck. And let's be clear, this is not a cheap place. Not going back. EVER.
