Dori, has been patient and reliable wines day one. I thought I was not going to be able to go because of a medical thing and she reassured me that I was still be able to go and walked me through each step. Our flight to Brussels canceled on us and she was on it and handling it all the way in Sierra Leone. When we finally got to Sierra Leone,we had the amazing Bossie the tour guide,we went to Bunce island where my ancestors were from, we went on a tour freetown ,we went to the first black college in west Africa and we did many more. I will use this agency for my own personal vacation with my partner

I recently stayed at the Stafford Lodge for a week. The entire staff were friendly and made sure our stay was comfortable. The food served in the restaurant downstairs was delicious and served quickly. Dori and Desmond, the owners, planned all of our tours and activities. They and their staff made sure that we got to each location on time and safely. They set us up with an AMAZING tour guide named Bassie, and the most talented photographer named Eve. They were both very instrumental for us during our stay. Everyone we encountered was so hospitable. They all welcomed us and made us feel like family. This trip was incredible, and I can honestly say that it was so; because of the planning and execution by the staff of the Stafford Lodge. We learned and experienced so much of what Sierra Leone has to offer through the tours that were planned for us. I would absolutely go back to the Stafford Lodge.

Salone Hidden Gems is the best. All tours were informative. Travel was arranged with each tour. I visited the National Museum of Sierra Leone, Bunce Island, The Cotton Tree, The Big Market, Old Fourah Bay College, & Leicester Peak just to name a few. My favorite tour was of Bunce Island. The tour guide Bassi was very knowledgeable of the history of the island.

I’ve been lucky enough to travel with Salone Hidden Gems now twice. I was one of their first ever customers last year, yet the service that Dori provided me was exceptional. So good in fact that I returned again this year with a group of friends in tow. Dori arranged every last detail for me, from transport back and forth to the airport, all of the tours, some really high quality guides, a photographer to document our stay and we even had a gift bag awaiting for us at our hotel! But what makes everything special are people. Dori is the real gem. Her love for Sierra Leone and for supporting the local community shines through. Every one of her members of staff speaks really highly of her not only as a boss but also as a mentor. She is providing people so much more than just a livelihood, she is providing them with a future. She is kind and compassionate and very funny too.
