I absolutely love this place and have for years! It's like a museum you can drink in, as they say. There is so much to look at, and I love the one deck card games! 😍 The gift shop has so many fun things to look at. You should absolutely try the Social club while you're there. They have so many delicious food options. You will not be disappointed

Google
I had a great dining experience. The smoked pheasant pasta, appetizers and sides for lunch were really good. Good selection of drinks too - the rosemary mule is a personal favorite. Our waitress was wonderful, she checked on us and suggested the best dishes. Very nice ambience and music. Restroom was clean and accessible.

Had a really good time last night very friendly staff and nice environment. Laid back and relaxing place for a drink and the bingo game was really fun thanks for a great time

I can't imagine what could make this place better. You walk in the door downstairs and this place is an absolute dive of a bar, with just amazing atmosphere. We went upstairs to eat at the social club, still so reminiscent of the old days. The menu was unbelievable, everything we ate was delicious and perfectly prepared. Please see the pictures. The service was top notch, always there but unobtrusive, knew the menu, knew the Bourbons and was extremely approachable. Our way to recommended the pork also buco, and he was dead on. It was just a great meal. After dinner we went to the martini bar where we had a great time with the bartenders and other guests. You can take a drink with you to the upper deck that looks out on the street, this is just a fantastic stop.

Google
Pumping busy place on a friday Sturgis night. The saloon was one of the busiest on the block lots of selection.the whole vibe felt like an old saloon with sawdust remnants on the floor. Back bar is packed with whatever you heart desires. I asked for an old fashion and got the dirty look .. oh well. When in Deadwood check it out 🤙

Google
This was a great place to stop for a drink. The history and the atmosphere was amazing. We had a couple drinks and they had a live action reinacent that lasted 20 minutes and was very entertaining. From the sawdust on the floor to all of the old pictures this is exactly what I imagined a old west salon would be like. If you are in Deadwood you have to stop in to have a drink.

Google
What a great spot where you can learn about history! BEWARE! Automatic tip added to groups of 7 or more. We had 7 and asked to be seated as 4 and 3. We were placed in separate parts of the dining area when we could have sat at least in the same room!

While in Deadwood we went to Saloon #10 for lunch my husband ordered the Plain Jane burger and a side salad. I ordered a bowl of the soup (cream of cauliflower) and the Berry salad with grilled chicken. Everything was seasoned very. Becca was very polite and quick on her feet .. we sat right after a table of 13 and she did an excellent job with her tables!

Yelp
Another place I would give 3.5 stars if half stars were a thing. I have been infatuated with the Wild Bill Hickok story since reading Along Came a Spider, so when I finally found myself in Deadwood, I had to make a stop. The town also seems infatuated with the local legends of the Wild West years past. Almost everything in town refers to Wild Bill and Calamity Jane. I really did enjoy coming in for the historical elements, but the bar itself was not somewhere I wanted to stick around. Didn't feel welcome as a tourist in what is a very touristy town.

Yelp
While in Deadwood for a work conference recently I got to spend some time at the 10. The vibe was great, and if you want to play some "skill games" they have an entire separate section of the bar for that, but thats not what I really enjoyed about the 10. Pretty much every night the 10 has some form of live music. Sometimes it's some small band just starting out from somewhere across the country on a tour, other times its bigger acts with some name recognition. For being a dive bar with sawdust on the floor tho, I have to say I was very impressed with the sound quality. As far as the drinks go, it's a decent dive bar, and if you've read my reviews before, you know I love me a good dive bar. They had a decent selection of local craft and macro beers, and the prices were very fair imo. Now that Wild West Hackin' Fest has been added to my yearly conference rotation I will definitely be back!

Yelp
SEXUAL HARASSMENT!!! Most unprofessional security I have experienced in my life. I felt super targeted and uncomfortable. First a MALE security guard walks into the girls bathroom while I'm going to the bathroom. Then I go back to the bar with my friends and he came up to me and says I have to leave because I was puking in the bathroom. Which I was not! Also I was just sitting at the bar minding my own business talking to my friends. Felt sexually violated because a big man came into the women's bathroom while going to the bathroom. There were like 10 people in the bar. Unprofessional for a male to walk into the women's bathroom. Worst bar and experience. Do not suggest going there.

Yelp
4 stars for the coolness of the old west. The pictures and decor inside this old bar / museum are very cool. My wife had fun gambling and listening to the story of Wild Bill Hickok. They also have the chair he died in hanging on the wall. Only had beer and wine. Ambiance is king here.

Yelp
There appears to be two locations under this review. Some are for the old location of the original saloon 10 (where wild bill was shot) and some are for the current location called saloon 10. This review is for the location currently being called saloon 10 under the deadwood social club restaurant. This place is full of history and kitsch, including the chair wild bill died in. There are photos and artifacts throughout the entire bar. The front room is covered with sawdust giving that old west feel. The front section is a full bar. There is a variety of beers on tap, full stocked bars with a wide range of whiskey and a few specialty cocktails. Service was good, drinks were standard. In the back there is more tables, a stage and some row seating as the reenact the shooting of wild bill her throughout the day. We caught a 3pm show by accident. It ran about 40 min with about 20 min of an oral history by Wild Bill and 10 min of audience participation and a recorded playing to reenact the death of wild bill. It was a little long but entertaining. Make sure to walk through the merch part of the store to see double cheeseburger, the two headed calf, above the door.

Yelp
This place is an Original located on Main Street in Deadwood South Dakota. Best place for a drink and live music! The band really rocked, they played amazing! There's dancing and bathrooms were clean. We didn't go for food just for night life. We also visited the first Saloon 10 were Wild Billy was killed on August 12, 1876. Very cool, lots of Wild Bill souvenirs. You can go down into the room where Bill was shot for 10 dollars. Live music aa well on the old Saloon 10..

Yelp
Bar is ok but upstairs.... The restaurant upstairs is very disorganized. 25 minutes to take our order. 45 minutes to prepare one steak. Out of the elk burgers. .... and the kitchen is SLOWWWWW Drinks came out wrong Steak was ordered medium well. Showed up medium rare. Asparagus stalks were terrible Will not be going back

Yelp

Yelp
Lots of cool history. Attentive staff. What was super cool is we went Sunday and then again Tuesday and our server remembered us and what we ordered. I was impressed because there are a LOT of folks traveling through that saloon. Place is super dog friendly. We had a great time. Water was brough for our dog. He also got called up to the bar by patrons and got pets all down the line.

Yelp
If you are in the area - this is a MUST! Amazing food, great friendly service, cozy ambiance! We went here for a bachelorette party and we all had A+ service from Jessie! The pheasant pasta was sooo amazing, will be coming back to get this pasta. Steaks, perfectly done. Fun cocktails.

Rob Y.

Yelp
Great service the waiter made some suggestions all of them where fantastic . The black berry cheese cake was the best I ever had . We had a fun time at saloon 10 !

Adam K.

Yelp
I received food poisoning from eating here. It was bad. Avoid at all costs. The service was also terrible. Very rude down in the bar area.

Ellen C.

Yelp
The menu was excellent ... we had salmon, risotto, pheasant, fine wine selection and delicious homemade desserts. Nice, quiet side room. Ask for Austin to serve you ... he's hometown Deadwood and so good. Everyone very helpful and polite.

Yelp
Great History, rude bartender. Place was 1/2 full, not busy or shift change. Took awhile to get a beer. Asked bartender a where Wild Bill was actually shot. She replied " I don't know, not from here". Next question about dinner got " I said I'm not from here". Never offered another drink. Left and didn't go back over the next 3 days. **NOTE: Wild Bill was actually shot in what is now the basement of the Wild Bill Bar across the street. They were much friendlier/ knowledgeable.

Yelp
Was pretty skeptical about this place because it seemed kinda gimicky with the Western theme. Then again the whole town is a tourist trap with slot machines everywhere. That said the meal was outstanding. The herb butter with sourdough bread starter was decadent. It's the type of bread and butter you can eat as a stand-alone meal. The ribeye steaks were outstanding and cooked to perfection. Seasoned just right. Treat yourself and add the crab hollandaise to the steak. You won't regret it. The side of roasted corn on the cob and seasonal vegetables was a perfect accompaniment. Service was perfect. Added the fifth star because on Thursdays they have select wines at 40% off. Bonus. The bar next door is pretty cool as well for drinks.

Yelp
Great music, great bartenders and lots of fun people. Most of them from Minnesota strangely. I had a great time here even on a slower night, which wasn't that slow. It's a cool old bar with lots of deer heads, gambling and music. Worth the trip in if you go to Sturgis mc rally.

Yelp
Saloon 10's reenactment of Wild Bill's fateful day is a must do when in Deadwood. Learning about Wild Bill and the history of the area is fascinating. I didn't eat or drink at Saloon 10. You can simply walk in and watch the reenactment. Highly recommend a visit!

Yelp
This turned out to be a way more entertaining stop than expected. In the back room there was a show for the death of Wild Bill which taught us some history and added some amusement. I thought the show was great but picking the participants and going through their parts before starting would get rid of the lag in the show. For the actual restaurant, service wasn't great during the show to get another drink and the menu was very limited. On the upside, the inside was dog friendly which can't be beat. We had a great time here, but don't sit downstairs for the food.

Yelp
If you like whisper, this is your jam! I LOVE whiskey and bourbon. Simply go to the bar and tell them what kinds you like and what they suggest you try based off your taste. I have never been disappointed the three times I have had a drink there. The staff are always helpful and kind. There's this gal that works a blackjack table and has the BEST clothes. Best hats. Best tops and vests. Great hair with the occasional feather. She was super helpful when I attempted blackjack for the first time with family in a slow afternoon a few years ago. I also won on the slots which never hurts, right?

Kimberly H.

Yelp
Service isn't good. It's very loud and obnoxious, and the food is mediocre at best. For the price i wouldn't recommend.
google avatar

Becki S.

Yelp
Didn't order a drink but came to watch the reenactment in the back of the bar. What a great show for the adults and kids (who are able to come I'm before 8 just for the purpose of watching the show). Definitely a must see in Deadwood!
google avatar

Jamie O.

Yelp
I ordered an Old Fashioned and the bartender rolled his eyes, pouted like a child.. he was visually and vocally annoyed I asked him to make to make the most simple cocktail of all time.. in a whiskey bar.. I thought maybe it was just me, until I saw someone else order one and watched the bartender do it again.. I guess he just wants to pour Coors.. Would be one star but a lady bartender that helped me after was super pleasant to deal with..
google avatar

Dani R.

Yelp
Dined up stairs in the Social Club and had a fantastic experience so I continued the good time downstairs after dinner. It was packed this place is always packed but especially during Rally. Though it was shoulder to shoulder crowded the bartenders were super friendly and on top of orders and rounds. I highly suggest the Huckleberry Mule!!

Yelp
What a amazing place you can drink yourself stupid In This place. We went in here because of the history of the place aces and 8 dead mans hand at cards. Bill hicock died in this solon. You walk in and see the history of the place all around you while the wait staff and bar keeps are all wearing the period clothing. You look at the bar and there are 179 bottles of alcohol to chose from.. you're welcome to belly up to the bar and try them all. You can stop by and. Gamble your hart out slots or cards.

Yelp
Food was pricey and not that good. Hotel was amazing though. There are much better places to eat around town.

Yelp
This is a cute stop along the main drag. They have shoes in the back and historic decor. This is a must stop!
google avatar

Rachel P.

Yelp
So fun! Definitely pop in here if you can. I spent 30 minutes just looking at the walls. The black jack in the rear room is a total treat.

Cole P.

Yelp
I was falsely accused when have pizza in the Bloody Nose. Sure wasn't the service of the Bloody Nose that was poor it was the Saloon 10! My experience goes like this. As me and my amigo were enjoying a beautiful pizza, buddy from the Saloon 10, buffalo stampeded towards our party of two. Buddy bouncer gave us a stern shouting saying we were using fake id's at the Saloon 10 last night and were sent to jail. This allocation was all 50 shades of wrong. The restaurant Bloody Nose had our backs and were just as confused why Saloon 10 brought false and incorrect drama into their bar. Enjoy the bar Saloon 10, you are proven guilty even before the American right to be innocent.

Yelp
Deadwood city is a beautiful historic town and the flagship saloon (saloon 10) offers a taste of 1885 , great local beers , perfect music and a very homely environment. AND thanks to my waitress , I left the bar and left my bag / wallet , she made sure it was returned to me. Thank you so much
google avatar

Yelp
Enjoyed the atmosphere and drinks. The reason for the one star is that we are visiting from Arizona and the employee in charge of the poker area took exception that my wife and I were speaking Spanish. He indicated we could not speak Spanish while playing. Fair enough. When my wife finished up he "reprimanded us" again indicating we were a lot to be asked to leave as we are in America and we had to speak English. It was illegal, unprofessional, and I was honestly disappointed. I take great pride in being an American and to avoid escalating the issue finished my drink and l left. The "policy", attitude and actions were clearly racially and ethnically motivated. There was not even an attempt to accept anyone culturally different from themselves.

Yelp
Stopped in with a large group. We were seated quickly upstairs on the terrace. Had the Bison burger and it was delicious. Great service by Josie!
google avatar

Alby P.

Yelp
Not the original location that Hickok met his fate but still has an interesting atmosphere. Friendly service, ok food and prices. What kills this joint is they accommodate huge and many tourist busses that smother the place with non-paying walking dead in for the free hoaky show. The lame show they put on for them is like sitting in a dentist chair with the drill running for hours. Just plain ruins the place and as a regular customer you can't escape it. Grueling. Even the employees agree.

Maddie C.

Yelp
Worst service ever!! Main bouncer was really nice but then the other employees made us feel so uncomfortable. Recommend "Mr. Wu's" highly!!
google avatar

Bruce B.

Yelp
Great saloon with great atmosphere and history. Still have Wild Bill's death chair above the door.

Yelp
Next stop Deadwood; and, among all of the shops, bars, and restaurants, this was easily our favorite place to hangout. We stopped in early; and, my friends bought a couple of rounds; and, then later in the afternoon, for another round of drinks (I even had one); and, then again after dinner, to see the "show." Saloon #10 has an extensive Whiskey Bar, with almost 180 selections. We didn't try many; but, the few we did try were excellent; and, the bar staff was very knowledgeable and accommodating. There are lots of interesting items to look at throughout the bar; it's like the "Hard Rock" of the old west, with all of the memorabilia strewn about. The "show" included a reenactment of the shooting of Wild Bill Hickock, which is a real treat - well acted, by locals; and, as historically accurate as can be made possible. Our day in Deadwood included shopping, drinking, eating, and a tour of town and the Boot Hill Cemetary. But, the highlight of the trip was Saloon #10.

Yelp
Great atmosphere, one of the only single deck black jack tables left. Usually has a great band, and pets are welcome! Saw Victory Underground here. Great Band.
google avatar

Christina S.

Yelp
Totally great vibe here- friendly staff- quick with the bar food specials, and a jovial bunch. The curios all over the walls and ceiling could keep you busy forever. Great access to the adjoining casino and restaurant. Drinks are great.
google avatar

Sandi W.

Yelp
This place was great! We visited this place twice while we were in the area on vacation. One night we saw the re-enactment of Wild Bill's murder and one night we listened to a live band. The live band was great and I wish it had been playing both nights that we were there. This place also has popcorn that you can help yourself to. One night while we were there we had dinner, which is available until 8:00. My husband and I split a brisket and cheddar sandwich, fries and onion rings. It was all awesome and a decent price. Our waitress, Tosha, was great too!

Teri H.

Yelp
Beer was cold. Bartender was a mean scowly lady. Curt and rude. Of course she can afford to be because this is a tourist destination and not for building repeat customers. She needs a new job
google avatar

Cody B.

Yelp
Bouncer checking ID's was rude and lazy. Just sat on the bench out front while smoking a cigarette and was not not welcoming at all. Sat down on the first floor and waited 10 minutes for service just to find out that we have to go up stairs for food. The table was sticky/gross and the food was terrible. Alfredo had puddles of oil in it and the vegetables in the veg spaghetti were hard/chewy. Plus it was over priced, almost $9 for a whiskey and coke. Go to spearfish if you want good food/service.
google avatar

Wang C.

Yelp
I gave an extra star because it was a bucket list item for me to drink whiskey where American icons from the Wild West drank. Outside of the historical appeal this place is pretty sad. The extremely limited food menu is almost as terrible as the food. And if you want a drink, go to the bar and see what's on sale because they price gouge you. Sorry the historical appeal doesn't justify the prices.
google avatar

George S.

Yelp
It's a must see in Deadwood although not the original and in another location. Usually crowed and noisy
google avatar

Yelp
8/12/20 during Sturgis 2:59pm Their were 4 of us. Avoid Server# 184 Shawna C, she is very rude. The four of us, we went for lunch and were told to come to the Saloon 10. So after placing our order we waited and waited so We stopped Shawna and asked about our meal, we told her it's been over an hours, she told us the kitchen is busy I don't know what to tell you. Almost 1 1/2 hr later. She brought our food. I stopped her after 15 mins receiving our food. I told her that my buffalo burger is rare not medium. She said that is medium and walked away. We asked for the manager, he came and we told him what happened, of course he apologized. I don't know if the buffalo burger was good or not. I didn't want to wait for another 1/2 hour to an hour to have them remake it. My husband and friends said their food was ok. When We were paying our bill, Shawna C. said "Thank you and have a Privileged day" So of course we asked for the manager again.

Alex K.

Yelp
Place is cool. Fat bouncer is an arshole. Good music. Lots to look at. Oh yeah and fat bouncer is an a$$

Eilonwy S.

Yelp
The food was excellent (try the seasonal ravioli!) and most of the staff was pleasant. Miscommunications happened, however, when calling about wait times and wait lists and there are signs that demand guests to be kind to the staff....which was ironic after the first staff member we met was the only rude person we'd met on our whole vacation.

Suzy Z.

Yelp
fun bar with great live music. Need to sweep though there's sawdust all over floor!! Lots of history in the heart of Deadwood even got a cool T-shirt.
google avatar

Jason C.

Yelp
If you want to order whiskey this is how it's served, no kidding. And if you ask about something classier for a $10 plus drink, they ask how much you going to tip me... Don't think they understand the process, pretty sad joint.

Kimberly F.

Yelp
Worst service ever. I waited tables through college to pay the bills. I know what good and bad service is. Fun environment...too bad the service was so bad. Ordered 6 wings, got 12. Asked for thousand island was told they didn't have it by waitress. And she seemed quite inconvenienced with any request. Seriously...isn't that her job. The food runner said they had thousand island and brought it to me. Waitress said well I guess they had it downstairs but they don't have it upstairs. It's really not hard to do your job and do it with a smile. Bad for business.

Yelp
I was in town for a week long leadership event. My group stopped by Saloon No 10 three separate days for drinks and cards. The staff here was awesome. They allowed us to play a couple hands of of cards without betting so that everyone got to know the rules and how to play. They feature blackjack and different options of poker. The staff and dealers joked around with us and were engaging in conversations the entire time. This was a great spot full of history and featured a great staff. Drinks are reasonably priced and the whiskey bar has a huge assortment offered. I would recommend stopping in and checking out the great photos on the wall and explore the history of the bar.
