Salsa Brava Fresh Mexican Grill

We held our annual Christmas party there last week. We were on the patio, and it was absolutely perfect! The food was amazing and the atmosphere was so much more than I expected. Our sweet and adorable server, Mackenzie was a perfect 10! THANK YOU for making us feel so special! Cheers Team Salsa, from Team Radisson! ❤️

Stepping into Salsa Brava for the first time and we were welcomed by the gorgeous aroma coming from the kitchen. So fresh I knew the food would be amazing. Alex seated us and made us feel like we were old friends. He set the tone for a beautiful meal with his warm smile and kind voice. We knew almost instantly what we wanted and it was brought out to us plated beautifully. I had the Chicken Tinga enchiladas. With the first bite I was covered in goose bumps. Heavenly is the only way to describe the flavor. Seriously, if I wasn’t a very happily married woman I would have gone into the kitchen and kiss the chef square on the lips. My husband ordered The Grande Burrito with tomatillo sauce and queso. He too had a moment of pure bliss at first bite. The restaurant was a bit busy but we were never forgotten and we were never bothered either. Alex staged everything perfectly. The place its self is gorgeous and so very clean. We spoke to the manager Brad and expressed our appreciation for the beautiful atmosphere and hospitality; not to mention the food. We also ordered 3 take away meals for family at home. Had to share this experience. We finished our dinner and not two minutes later the to go items were brought out. Again Bravo Alex on the staging. Being new to Colorado I am certain we have found “ our go to place”. Thank you Alex, Brad and the entire kitchen team. We will see you soon and often.

Stopped in on a Thursday for lunch so it wasn't too busy. Honestly we were not expecting much, but it turned out better than we expected. I got the Chimi styled veggie burrito and my boyfriend got a couple enchiladas both meals included rice and beans. It all tasted better than expected. The chips and salsa we got freely were decent but needed some kind of kick. I feel it was a tiny bit over priced. My burrito was huge, but for the same price my boyfriend got two very tiny enchiladas. I really appreciated the amount of vegetarian options here though and we would probably come back. Due to sharing the space with urban egg plus the music to compensate that it was a little loud. All in all it was a good experience as our server was nice as well.

In case you did not know this is one of the most consistently phenomenal Mexican restaurants in the city. Although I frequent and seek out every hole in the wall and taco truck I can find (in COS and in the global ghetto beyond), Salsa Brava continues to amaze me with the layers of contextual flavors that are authentic to everything Mexico. I grew up in Baja Mexico (Anaheim, CA) so I think I have earned the right to have a professional perspective on at least Baja-style Mexican cuisine. On top of that the presentation is always absolutely beautiful. And then on double-top of that there is have an amazing crew (Josh, Sean, Bradley, Steven chef bro, RICO!, Brandi, Lindsay, Laura+++) that always makes the experience so special. So stoked to live close by to be here ALL THE TIME.

Out 1st time in and we weren't disappointed. Great portion size, great flavor and the warm salsa was a new experience for me and I liked it too!! Highly recommend eating here if you haven't already, or going back again if you have.

The host was friendly, our server was phenomenal and the restaurant was very clean. We love mexican food, but we have discovered that Salsa Brava just isnt for us. We find their food to have a unique twist, tasting smoky and simultaneously bland. My family shared an appetizer and we all got different entrees. We weren't very fond of anything we ordered and consequently have indigestion, nausea and heart burn. My husband and I both ordered drinks from the bar and both drinks tasted like sour dish water. This was our second attempt eating at Salsa Brava but we wont be back. Hopefully someone else has a better experience but we wanted to share our honest input.

Came in, from the Denver metro, before a high school football game, we had great service, food and drinks.

The food came by very fast. The pork, green Chile and salsa here were very tasty but the rice was slightly undercooked and it seemed like the refried beans were not as fresh as I was expecting. The house margaritas was not the best I have tasted but other than that I'm sure all those things were hiccups and I'll make another visit soon. Great service and taste overall UPDATE: I have been to Salsa Brava over 6 times now. All of the food is great. Go on Tuesdays for 2$ tacos and after 7pm is happy hour where it's a dollar off your house margaritas and 5$ patron shots. Very dangerous 😳

LOVE this place! Always fresh! Always good! Service has always been consistent! There's patio seating with a big fireplace! It's a fun and bright atmosphere which I prefer because then I can really tell if it's clean! Love their avocado fries and quesadillas (steak)! The only 2 things I will say is the music can be a bit overwhelming when it's crowded already it feels very loud and hard to hear. Also it's a bit on the pricey side so you will need to plan for that!

At our first trip to Salsa Bravo we loved the food and service we received! Starting off with delicious smoked salsa and guac was the perfect way to open a meal. This lively and bright atmosphere was the perfect spot for national margarita day. Our house margarita pitcher and margarita flight was a hit and the Sangria margarita was our favorite. As far as food - there was nothing we didn't like. This elevated classic Mexican food was delicious and the enchiladas were all our favorite along with the chili relleno. Add this to your list of spots to visit and try in Colorado Springs!

Professional friendly staff. I did want to sit in the outside bar portion of the bar, but there was an employee taking up the space rolling silverware. Seems like that could be done elsewhere and free up that area.

We always get great service here. We get seated right away, the servers are very attentive, and the food always seems fresh. We always get full on their fresh salsa that comes to the table. It comes warm and not too spicy, so my kids get to enjoy this too. The shrimp and avocado tacos are my favorite because of the mango salsa and the baja fish tacos are also quite good. My kids really enjoy the rice, beans, and ground beef tacos. I always try to get something new when we go, but I always go back to my favorites. Also, you can't miss the coconut flan! It's so creamy and decadent. And it's a pretty generous portion. Definitely recommend.

I had the fajitas and I thought they were awful. The flavor was not what I normally expect from a fajita, and it was almost all cooked onions, and a couple of red peppers---not enough vegetables!

Started off okay, patio seating was nice. Big booth and had patio heaters. Service was sooo slow. He was nice when he was at the table but that wasn't very much. Food was very sub par. Made the queso wrong at first and then the carne asada was super chewy and tough to eat. Had the strawberry jalapeño margarita, wasn't anything to rave about. The house margarita was not good, very watered down.

Our server Taylor was very helpful and punctual, knowledgeable, check on us several times, I had the 3 pigs burrito so good and a lil hot! The warm house salsa so good we filled up on chips and salsa. DWL

A nice day outside. Unfortunately patio area garage doors are closed as if it's the dead of winter. However, outside bar unusable anyway because of silverware rolling in that space. Not a very festive atmosphere on what seems like should be a busy day.

The food quality falls short of expectations for its pricing. My husband's birria tacos appeared to have been sitting out for a while, and the entire meal was cold. I ordered shrimp tacos that had an unpleasant oily aftertaste. Our server was great and understanding about the feedback regarding the food, however I would not recommend this restaurant!

Salsa Brava/Over Easy use to be my go to location for Mexican food and breakfast. However I recently noticed that the restaurant adds a "surcharge" to provide the employees with extra incentive to work. This is in addition to the food bill and tip.

Food and ambiance are excellent. Service is always good. Sitting at the bar on a Saturday afternoon is always a fun party. I really like the layout of the bar/patio area. Lara can make me a drink anytime. She rocks!

Service was great, ambience loud, clattery, not conducive to conversation. Salsa great as usual, chips meh. Steak nachos very disappointing. Won't do that again. Dry chunks of over-seasoned beef, and nothing else to recommend the nachos. Sopaipillas were okay.

We stopped here by chance as we were headed to a different establishment further down the road. We are so glad we did. The food and service were AMAZING! Our server Lara was friendly, helpful, and timely! Highly recommend the food as it was delicious. We will be back! Definitely one of our favorites in Colorado Springs!

Doors are locked at 8:30, despite door clearly reading 9. Also they conveniently have a happy hour that starts at 8. Disappointmented

Service was great! Love Salsa Brava! The salsa is amazing served warm. We had tacos from the "Happy Hour " menu and they were wonderful! Every time we eat here it is Awesome!

Food is still great. Service is ok Thursdays DJ ambience is completely off. Wrong music for the crowd

$6.75 margs and $2 off all apps during happy hour & complimentary chips & salsa (with refills!!) After driving past this eatery for months, I finally gave it a try! First impressions: plenty of sitting space (indoors + outdoors), good ambience, welcoming staff, and good variety on the menu (including plenty of GF options) The salsa with the chips was fresh, and the margs were decently strong. The honey chipotle salmon was well flavored and the side rice was delicious. Service did tend to get slow during dinner rush hour (I don't blame the staff for that ) but they do fill up the chips and salsa as you wait :) I will be back to try their other menu items for sure, most probably during happy hour ;)

The food was average at best. The host was downright surly. But if you like noisy TV blasting in your ear and sitting next to the door on a cold winter evening with guests coming and going and bumping your chair, this is the place for you.

The service was excellent. Our waitress informed us about the complimentary warm bean salsa which was served generously and much appreciated. The quest was amazing, we got it with ground hamburger. The chicken tinga was well flavored. The menu was definitely a little pricey but happy hour was great!

Very good food. A bit pricey. Our server was Victoria, and she did an excellent job. We don't drink, so I can't review their drink options.

Amazing service, Delicious food, wonderful ambience ! This is my favorite restaurant of all of colorado springs. My favorite is the sour cream enchiladas and the fajitas. The salsa signature entrees are amazing as well The margaritas and signature drinks are also wonderful!

My first time at this location for Salsa Brava. It used to be located elsewhere when I lived in the area, and I loved the food. Now a few years later, I wanted to try the new place on a return visit to the area. I would give it a 5 rating for food; the staff was very good also. Unfortunately, the ambiance is poor. It is loud (no ceiling and hard floors) and one can hear the server over the music system. The menu is delightful and the quality is superb, but expecting this to be a good place for business and conversation it is not to be recommended.

The ability to check the wait time from yelp is convenient, this location is close to my house, and the food is awesome. Everything I have tried here is great and the staff is friendly during every visit.

Ordered pickup and once I got home realized I paid 24$ for fajitas and they didn't give me tortillas or any plastic silverware. Food was not that great either.

The service at the bar was great! Laura made sure she was always checking in with us. The barbacoa enchiladas were delish! The shrimp fajita was just as good.

We come here all the time for our standard date night and it is always so delicious. The daily specials are unique and deserts are rich. We love the frozen Perfect Patron Margaritas (better than on ice and it is STRONG). We are from San Antonio and it passes our Mexican food standards, lol. Really well done. Service is always excellent. Family friendly Trivia night is a blast

I came here with a friend, we ordered the tinga tacos, chips and queso, and green enchiladas -all were amazing! I highly recommend!

In a town where super fresh Mexican is rare, Salsa Brava is the exception, with well crafted dishes, a variety of good margs, and some atmosphere to boot. Also, they have a TRUE happy hour in the afternoons with deep cuts on some of that good food, and discounted drinks, including Dos XX on tap, served with a smile! Buen Provecho!

Slasa Brava never disappoints, and Cinco de Mayo makes it even better!! Great margs, tacos and shredded chicken chimichanga for the win!!

Avocado fries are a must! Had the shrimp and avocado tacos, they were pretty tasty. I tried their Paloma drink. It was pretty strong where I couldn't even enjoy it. It felt like I was taking a shot with every sip. The manager on schedule came over and apologized and took it off the bill which was very kind! They use actual grapefruit in their drink, if they use actual grapefruit soda or grapefruit carbonated water it would help with the taste. I would recommend this place for an american take on mexican style food for sure.

This place is right up the street and seems to always be busy so I stopped by for lunch. I got the fish tacos and ceviche. What a disappointment. Taco shell was cold, though fried fish was warm, the rice was not heated thoroughly and was "al dente", ceviche tasted a day or two old, did not have fresh ingredients. Our server was amazing. She was friendly and quick with drinks and refills. Save yourself the time and $$$ and go to a real Mexican restaurant!

Happy Hour drinks, food and service were great. The prices were on point as well...$5 for a grande house margarita. $3 enchilada. Perfect place to go for a quick drink and snack.

Checked out salsa Brava for an event and the menu was so good! The staff made this night amazing! They were so helpful, kind and knowledgeable on everything! The avocado appetizer and chicken salad is out of this world! Their happy hour is so reasonably priced and I highly recommend the sangria margarita. Please sit on the patio, whatever you do!

Attentive staff, great food, not a long wait from order to table time. Staff is friendly and check on you multiple times during the meal. A tad noisy, but that's great to see them busy. Excellent happy-hour and hour-before-closing specials during the week. Love it here.

Lunch time is very busy, but the bar always has room! We ordered/shared fajita plate. The dish was really good! The marinade has a citrusy/pineappley flavor that was addicting. Comes with flour tortillas that were perfectly toasted. Waitress was very friendly and accommodating as we were in a time crunch for lunch. I'd come back and order the same thing again!

Came here with my family for a big lunch. We all enjoyed our food. I got the shrimp and avocado tacos with double rice no beans. Service was normal, no complaints there! It was very busy when we went but even the manager was helping out at tables. Thats a huge plus to me! Will definitely be back!

Salsa Brava is one of those "go to" plwaces that always gets it right! We have great service along with perfect and fresh food every time we visit!

We ordered food at the website and I ordered two separate steak meals. They combined the entire meals except the condiments. The meat taste weird not as good and the sautéed vegetables were not sautéed. They were barely cooked so it was like eating raw onions. They almost forgot the tortillas. I don't understand why I would order two separate meals and then they just combine everything. The food does not taste as good and the meat is overdone. Very disappointed .

Great service good food venue a bit limited but the avocado fries are a mmust have! Deepfried avocado!!

Been going here for years (at the various locations) and it has never let us down...until now. Sat at the bar for 5PM happy hour, terrible service. Slow, inattentive...seemed more worried about stocking the glasses and checking phones than serving drinks. The food was reliably good, and partially made up for the bar service.

Lara was amazing! The food... the service... happy hour on Saturday! Highly recommend! We had the nachos Brava and house margaritas!

Taylor was great and we enjoyed our happy hour. I expected a weak happy hour margarita...it was not, lol.

Had lunch here today- wasn't a huge fan. I paid $12.50 for ground beef enchiladas with rice and beans. Everything was just really bland. Not a lot of cheese on the enchiladas- not much flavor on rice and beans. The sole star of my lunch was the warm chipotle salsa they serve. Service was good.

The wait staff was excellent, was way too noisy couldn't really talk to each other. the food was bland and there other places in town with better quality food!

We came to Salsa Brava for the first time on Wednesday for happy hour, what a great experience. Lara took care of us. Walked us though the menu what was available. Everything was delicious, and service was top notch, we are back today and and everything was great again!
