Salt & Sill - hotell, konferens & restaurang

This place is awesome. Rooms are well appointed nice clean bathroom, breakfast is to die for. I've stayed here twice now and definitely will again when I'm in the area. Highly recommended

Great stay in this unusual floating hotel with great views. We really enjoyed using the sauna and hot tub on top of the floating building. Also enjoyed swimming off the dock. Lovely rooms with great views. good breakfast and enjoyed dinner in the restaurant

I stayed at the hotel for 4 nights in the middle of July. Everyone working here was extremely nice and helpful. I tried both restaurants and got some food from the kiosk and everything was great. The room was pretty big and tidy with unmatched sea view - you are truly two steps away from the ocean. Even though it is a calm area, there is a lot to do around. The public transport during summer was not ideal, but you can still get pretty much anywhere you want. Renting a car or biking around would definitely be more convenient. With being so close to the water, I would have loved to have a bathrobe and slippers ready in my room, they were never provided. The room has a lot of windows, which means everyone can see inside. It is not only the other hotel guests, but also people who visit the bar or the restaurant who are constantly walking around your room and staring inside, if your room is on the ground floor. You can give up the sea view and close the blinds, or enjoy the view and give up your privacy. On the last day, three boats docked right in front of my room, which was even more uncomfortable. It seemed like the hotel is built mostly of wood, so you can hear every single step people take around and above your room. This is especially "lovely" if a family with small children has a room above you, the noise was pretty unbearable sometimes. Breakfast is open for just 2 hours so it can get pretty busy. You might have to wait in line every time you want to go get something. For me, this was unfortunately not the kind of stay I was hoping it would be. I believe the hotel would be a much more enjoyable place if it was adult only, if the hotel room windows were mirrored on the outside and if the boats were not able to dock in front of the hotel rooms. Next time visiting Klädesholmen, I would probably book and airbnb in the village and come to Salt & Sill for the amazing food. 3* for the hotel, 5* for the restaurants and kiosk

The place is in a lovely location, quiet and walkable to visit the village. The restaurant is probably the only one in that location so little choice to eat anywhere else. The food is not cheap but the rooms are well presented with everything that is needed. We had a great stay.

My friend and I booked the sauna and we had such a lovely time, so relaxing. It wss just the two of us on the entire boat with the sauna to ourselves. We had cozy dressing gowns and slippers and 2 ours to just relax and unwind. Afterwards sat down for a lunch and the food was lovely! Definitely worth a visit when visiting the area!

I havent stayed here, although my syster did many years ago and loved it. However, if you want the total swedish experience for dinner..I can happily recommend it! Located on the water with great views and very attentive staff, the food was amazing ! Plenty of free parking outside the hotel/ restaurant.

A nice little place to go, only approx 45 minutes from Gothenburg. The nature is great and who doesn't want to stay at the only floating hotel in Sweden? The food is nice as well, the only thing I can complain about is that they didn't have any dark beers in the bar.

Very nice place in the herring village. This restaurant is linked to the nice hotel on the sea. Place is really great, surrounded by water. Lunch menu (3 dishes) of very good quality, we had a great catfish with vegetables. Lemon cream dessert was very good as well. You can also take a herring buffet (8 different sorts) with extras. Really a place I recommend if you are in Tjörn.
