I had the pleasure of dining at Salt on Saturday night, and I can’t rave enough about my experience! From start to finish, everything was incredible, but what truly stood out was the service. Hunter, the bartender, went above and beyond. She was not only incredibly friendly and welcoming but also gave us personalized recommendations that really made the evening special. Hunter introduced me to my new favorite Mezcal margarita – and it was absolutely perfect. Her knowledge and enthusiasm really added to the entire dining experience. It’s rare to come across service that makes you feel so valued, and Hunter nailed it. The ambiance and food were fantastic too, but it’s the service that will make me want to come back time and time again. Highly recommend Salt, and be sure to ask for Hunter at the bar!

One of the finest restaurants in Humboldt County, with innovative and delicious seafood-based dishes that are well worth the price. The space is light and airy, with fascinating decor, touches, and a number of super comfy, semi-circular booths. The bar has additional seating at a window, side counter, and a few small tables. Every time I dined or drank here, the service was excellent and attentive. The wine list is well-curated, with a pleasing array of selections. Would have been five ⭐️ all around if the person designing the menu could make one small change: annotate relevant dishes with footnotes, letting us know which dishes contain dairy and wheat. (This will save lactose and gluten intolerant patrons from having to send dishes back when the ingredients were not disclosed upfront.) And!! Some more non-dairy dessert options would be very welcome… Because then I would come more often, and spend more money. 🤨😉

Google
A lovely dining experience. A nice atmosphere with soft lighting inside. Outdoor seating was also available. The scallops were some of the best my mother or I have ever had ($42 includes 4 large scallops, two sides and a dipping sauce). The scallops were huge and cooked immaculately. The clam chowder( $12) was good,, not great. The oysters were sub par and we were disappointed in the very small size and preparation but they did seem fresh (1/2 dozen $24). The melon feta salad was fun and interesting although it was missing the pistachios it still was very good ($17) Our server Iris was attentive and sweet.

We were given great recommendations for Salt. But, truly our experience was exceptional. We were with a wedding party in a nearby Airbnb, so it was within walking distance. From the moment we walked in, it seemed like they were ahead of every detail but not rushing us. One person in our party was injured; the hostess offered an extra chair and a blanket for elevation. The waiter's timing and cadence were perfect for our party. We laughed and drank and truly enjoyed our evening at our leisure, even though we were there past closing. The waiter never rushed us about the kitchen closing; we just enjoyed our delicious meal. The food was incredible. Everyone in our party was beyond satisfied; one person remarked it was the best they'd ever had. That same person mentioned they wanted to return before the trip was over. Just exceptional.

Google
This place has wonderful vibes! We went last year and they had a fresh oyster bar and seafood right in front of you. We were so excited to see that again this year and those features were gone. Food was okay. Service was good. Vibes were still good but definitely has taken a downhill turn from last year. I hope they stop that momentum soon.

GREAT pizza!! If you like Italian style wood fired pizza… this is the best we’ve had in CA while roadtripping up from San Diego. The mushroom pizza was our favorite!

Google
3 entrees and 1 salad we end up around 35$ per person Food was high quality and should be at this price point Service was friendly but not amazing

Google
Great experience! Got turned away from another pizza place in Eureka and could not have been happier. They were able to fit us in right away and everything was great! Could have been checked on maybe a little more often but also wasn’t mad that we weren’t being “babysat”. Overall a great experience!

Yelp
Best restaurant in place . Ruby the head chef special sauce is die for it . If they sell the sauce in a bottle I'll buy it by the boxes

Yelp
I want to love and support Salt but I've had so many hit or miss experiences that it's hard for me to recommend it to visitors. My recent ahi burger wasn't good (a tough fully gray patty on brioche that was unrecognizable as ahi) but the fish and chips are always solid. I've decided that Salt is a reliably awesome spot for oysters, appetizers and drinks with great ambience. The entrees are iffy.

Yelp
Apparently they were understaffed ... but that doesn't explain all the issues with a reserved table for four, which cost over $400. No silverware or plates, even once the food starting arriving -- had to ask more than once, only to then get a stack of plates and handful of silverware to deal with ourselves (while the food was already getting cold) ... and several minutes later (after again having to ask multiple times) received again a pile of napkins to fold and disburse on our own (and ten minutes later, someone else shows up with more napkins -- at least this time folded ...). Waiting a very, very long time between appetizer and entree course. But worse, one of the four entrees doesn't come out, and have to remind the waitstaff what had been ordered. So that order clearly goes in for the first time, while the other folks are awkwardly eating, and halfway done before the court meal arrives. One of the steaks being overcooked, in the meantime; the fries having the wrong requested seasoning (of the 3 choices they provide); and the food overall just not being that tasty. By the end, discouraging us from dessert because they are closing -- though we are only there late due to their mistakes! No apologies or fixes at any point -- seriously just seemed like they were all stoned or something. So we ask for some takeaway boxes as things are just getting awkward by this point -- and they bring a few undersized boxes for the many uneaten overpriced meals still on the table. So we ask for more, and finally get more. Then have to ask for a bag to carry it all in -- which should have been obvious to provide. Another five minutes, and have to ask for a bag yet again ... Now, three of the four of us spent several years in customer service, so we can be very forgiving, and very generous with proper care. But it gets to a point of scratching hour head and asking WTF went wrong with this one?? Unacceptable, particularly for the $440 price tag. I get that Eureka doesn't pride itself in nice restaurants, but I thought this one would be better. Oh well.

Yelp
The food was so fresh and delicious We wanted something quick but with flavor and good ingredients. So glad we came back a second time. The oysters were fresh even when grilled so yummy, normally don't eat them but I had to try them, glad I did. It was very filling and we didn't want to leave anything behind and finished it, was more than enough for 2 people, good portions

Yelp
Always hit and miss. Had a good meal there motnhs ago but sadly not consistent. The food was mediocre at best. Six people and nobody left happy.

Yelp
Another memorable dinner at Salt. A classy environment with professional and friendly servers who deliver very good experiences. My dining companion and I shared a Caesar salad, Dungeness crab spaghetti, and grilled sourdough bread. All were delicious. Wine and beer selection is nice.

Yelp
Pretty restaurant with open space and cool lighting chandeliers in a modern barn like atmosphere and semi open kitchen and vibrant feel all around, thus this place is a seafood specialty place in Arcata. Since another popular restaurant has bar seating only due to eight reservations coming in the next thirty minutes, we decided to call this place to see if they could seat three people immediately. They had open tables and welcomed us at a short notice. They had three tables open when we arrived and quickly filled all of them with pretty quick turnovers. The waiter was efficient and quick. The food came out quite fast and tasty. We had a nice Pinot 2021 for $88. The vegetarian risotto was warm but not at the temperature and rigorous consistency as my liking but passable. My wife ordered Lobster Mac and Cheese in iron skillet that was fantastic. The Cesar Salad was ok. The lemon tart cake with Pustachio Gelato was $12 and was ok. Overall excellent service and fast seating and friendly staffs and decent food overall. Solid four stars.

Todd G.

Yelp
Nice little place. My son said the oysters were very good. My fried fish was overcooked and dry as was my fried prawns. The calamari had a good breading, light. Was decent but not my top choice to go back to. Servers were friendly and checked in regularly.

Mike W.

Yelp
I want to love Salt Fish House however as others have commented I've found it to be very inconsistent, especially considering the price points. It's best just for drinks and appetizers, the new menu is limited and lacks inspiration. The aesthetic and ambiance are on point, however I feel that management is more focused on those aspects than the food, and there are other options nearby where the food (and prices) are simply better.

Yelp
Everything is always amazing here. Get a green flash. Great staff and ambiance Highly recommended

Jeffrey G.

Yelp
We went there twice and enjoyed it both times. The staff was courteous and accommodating, and the food was above average. We enjoyed the cocktails as well. The patio when the weather's right is a great place to sit

G G.

Yelp
Wanted to order a half vegetarian and half sausage pizza as my wife is a vegetarian We were told that the chef wouldn't do that because (and I quote) "The pizzas were too delicate" We left immediately and had a lovely dinner at The Carriage House around the corner

Yelp
What a way to finish off the Redwood National Park trip. The food is amazing. Everything tastes amazing and fresh. The ambiance is pleasing. Our waitress was so nice and friendly. The sauce that she recommended for the grilled scallops was perfect for the grilled scallops. For the portion size and quality of the ingredients, the price is very reasonable. For the same price in Portland Oregon, portion size would be about half.

Yelp
Delicious creative food in an upscale atmosphere. Outside seating too. Good service. Highly recommend.

Yelp
Amazing ambiance. Love the indoor decor. Great food and wine. The steak was well cooked as requested. Pasta was amazing!

Jacky W.

Yelp
Food is above average. Environment is nice and quiet. Would be great if there is a couple more servers though.

Yelp
My partner and I were traveling in Arcata for the winter holidays and had an absolutely delicious meal here! It was hard to find places that were open between Christmas and new years, and even harder to find places that were letting people eat outside (I guess people forgot that we are still in a pandemic?!) Luckily, Salt Fish House had us covered! We ate outside (alone because everyone else was indoors) on their large covered patio and heat lamps. The service was attentive and friendly. The food: our server let us know that crab season just stated so they had crab cakes with arugula and hollandaise sauce on the menu, which we promptly ordered. The crab cakes were absolutely perfect--they were crab-forward, not too creamy/heavy, and not to bread-y either. They were well-balanced, had some refreshing acidity, and were the perfect way to start us off. For our main course, we shared the seared steelhead which came with potatoes, broccolini, and an olive tapenade. The fish was cooked perfectly, the tapenade gave it a salty earthiness, and the vegetables and potatoes were absolutely delicious. For dessert they had a lot of Italian desserts on the menu, and we decided to get the chocolate cinnamon budino. I have never had a budino before, but this pretty much had the texture of a lightly fluffier chocolate ganache. It was a little grainy, but in a way that ended up melting in your mouth. It wasn't exactly what we expected (it was described as being kind of like a panna cotta/creme brûlée hybrid, which it was not), but it was decadent and super tasty. This was definitely one of our favorite meals on the trip and we will definitely be returning next time we visit Arcata! In terms of pricing--we got this meal + 2 glasses of wine for $100 including tip, and it was definitely worth it!

Yelp
Food--fantastic.service was slow--but good things take time do you need to relax if you're going to dine here. Ambiance was lovely. Our waiter described the entrees and made excellent pairing recommendations. The kitchen was busy -- everything cooked to order...so like I say, if you're in a hurry forgettaboutit. We were very happy campers when we left, and highly recommend!

Yelp
First time in Arcata and we tried Salt Fish House for dinner on a Friday night. We did not have a reservation but called about an hour before we arrived and they were happy to get us in. The decor and ambiance is very island vibe. We had the King Crab Leg which was 1 larger leg. It was fresh and sweet. Also had the clam chowder which is served with toasted bread. Broth was the perfect thickness and flavor was great with lots of chunks of clams, potatoes and carrots. We also tried the grilled octopus which was the only disappointment. Unfortunately it was very chewy. The waitress Paloma was attentive and very sweet. We would definitely return.

Yelp
Cocktails were very good and the Cioppino was amazing. I started with the oysters and they were fresh and delicious. Our server was attentive and they have a nice vibe going on.

Yelp
Where do I begin? This is gonna be a loooong one I feel bad writing this review but the experience just kept getting weirder and weirder This place deserves 5 starts for the food. I had the fennel salad 1/2 dozen fresh raw oysters and charred octopus. All AMAZING Ambiance was trendy. Reminded me of the restaurants in San Diego Now the service. Damn From the moment I walked in. There was a party of two that were being greeted and seated. She never came back. The curly hair guy I'm assuming is the owner asked me after I stood there for 10 minutes if I had already spoken to the hostess. I said no. He let her know I was there waiting to be seated and she proceeded to look like she was doing something else for a couple of minute as I watched her. With the look of hesitation on her face she finally approached me. Didn't say hello. I said one for dinner and she offered the bar which I could have sat in 15 minutes earlier if that's where I wanted to eat my dinner. I said I preferred a table and she pointed to a table that had no settings. Mind you. This is a trendy restaurant. Not Apple bees. She told me to take a chair. She didn't guide me to my seat. Didn't set the table before I sat. Again. Trendy restaurant. I sat down. Waited another 5 minutes at this point only friends of staff were sitting at the bar and I was the only one sitting at a table at the bar. So I waited. Finally my server approached me. Did not introduce herself nor say hello. Just. What can I get you. Like with. At Apple bees your server tells your their name Again. Trendy restaurant. Ok After sitting there for so long, I already knew what I wanted so I proceeded to ask her for the rosé fennel salad, half dozen raw oysters, and charge octopus. She took my order and I mean, doesn't take that long to pour glass of wine but I think I waited at least another 10 minutes and I'm truly not exaggerating so my salad came out first before my wine and my server didn't even bring my wine. It was another server who brought me my wine, The runner and this is kind of where it gets even weirder. Is she like courtesies and puts my plate down from a distance like I'm gonna bite her or something lol this is just too much as she did that with every single dish that she ran to me. So after my salad came my octopus and still no oysters. Again, this is a trendy restaurant. It is common knowledge in the restaurant industry that you paste a guest meal, especially when they order three different dishes. The serving may could've asked in what order would you like these dishes but I got my oysters at the end after I had already finished my octopus and half of my salad Was very tempted to cancel but at the bar area to be having a social hour instead of taking care of their guests And I'm glad I did not cancel the oysters because they were amazing So after sitting there enjoying my meal on my own, not one was, I asked if I would like another glass of wine because my glass was almost empty. I mean, even at Applebee's, try and upsell you more liquor, you know, but it was kind of like there wasn't much attention to my table. So after paying attention to what was going on around me, there was a lot of conversation among friends maybe some liquor drinking as employees. I just sat there and kept waiting for some foremost for my oysters and then I had to wait for my bill and I asked for it, and it was quietly given to me placed on my table Without a thank you did you enjoy your meal? No interaction was placed between the staff and me where I can absolutely say it was a pleasurable experience and that is unfortunate because the food here is amazing. I go back I go back and order my food to go and skip the restaurant on beyond experience where I felt unwelcome. Felt like book was being judged by the cover. Sucks to say. That's how I feel about it. Crazy We live in the most beautiful country. People just can't let their differences and judgements go especially toward strangers in a SERVICE INDUSTRY. smh. That's all.
google avatar

Anthony T.

Yelp
Wow! Some of the best oyster sauce I've ever had. All made in house with their own concoction. If you like oysters you've got to try this place. A very pleasant surprise. Staff were pretty chill as well.

Marcy D.

Yelp
Absolutely delicious food and beautiful space! We had oysters to start, then each had a different fish for our main and ended with the lemon dessert. All were fantastic!
google avatar

Jesse B.

Yelp
When we arrived they couldn't find my reservation because they put it under a different name. After we were seated, we were left at our table without drinks and no one checked on us for at least 30 min. There were 3 other tables outside being served and the waiters were checking on each other's tables but not ours. It wasn't until the end of the night after we paid and were leaving that they acknowledged us. Outdoor seating was gorgeous especially with the heaters. The burger was delicious, ceviche had parsley instead of cilantro(???), and the shrimp and avocado were similar in color and texture.

Mike H.

Yelp
Great ambiance friendly staff, I don't drink so have nothing to say about the bar. The food on the other hand left a bit to be desired. I had the halibut which slightly overcooked and disintegrated when touched with a fork. Wife's scallops were spongy. This place is overpriced for the quality of the meal.
google avatar

Yelp
first, let me this is a 10/10 great place to eat. we had a hiccup with our reservation that didnt give us the seats we wanted, but after we got that sorted we got right to enjoying our evening. its arcata, parking is tough, so plan to park a couple blocks away, but its not like your walking uphill in the snow. we sat outside under the heat lamps, bring layers as they absolutely sling the heat! we ordered damn near everything on the menu, lots of cocktails and local beers. the staff was over the top polite, accommodating, and efficient in getting us our ordered items. everything i ordered was over the top great! i will return here at a later date so i can give Salt the proper 5 stars it deserves! no, its not cheap, but if you can, do it!!!

Yelp
Finally got a chance to catch a seafood spot on our way up to Redwood National Park, and let me tell you, it wasn't an easy task finding places to eat or that stayed open late enough. But. Anyways, here's what we had. Cioppino - I was super excited about this dish because 1. From what I understand, this Italian-American dish originated in San Francisco, CA and pretty it's pretty well known. And 2. I got to eat this on the Pacific coast, super fresh so. I enjoyed. Worth the order if you can get it at a legit spot. Fish, Clams and Prawns in a Tomato base sauce. Served with a side of grilled Sourdough. Bomb!! Grilled Pacific Oysters - My favorite dish of the night. Fresh, warm, topped with a Chimichurri, these hit the spot for sure. Must order for me if you make it here. Market Ceviche Tostadas - Not hating, but surprisingly, these were super good given this wasn't a traditional mariscos or anything but damn, super good, super fresh, definite recommend. For sure. Charred Octopus - Always one of my favorite orders, and this one didn't disappoint at all. Served over a bed of Green Papaya Salad with a Thai Chili Jam, Lime, Tamarind, Herbs and Peanuts. Fire yo!! Give it a go. We also got the Brownie dessert with Vanilla Bean Whipped Cream and Carmel Drizzle. Yoooo!! And lastly, they offer up a super huge variety of Vegan options by substituting a lot on the menu to accommodate. I'd definitely recommend checking this place out if you get a chance. Deuce!!

Yelp
Anything you get is going to be be a good choice, it's a really beautiful restaurant. They have the best drinks--please order the green flash, it's worth chugging. Very sweet place with very sweet servers.
google avatar

Audra K.

Yelp
We ended up here when only happy hour was served, my bad, I didn't realize we couldn't get dinner at that time. Too many fried options for me, but it is a really cute place and service was good.
google avatar

Xiaoxi W.

Yelp
Food is overpriced and so salty. They are not kidding when they say Salf Fish house. Super salty. If you have blood pressure problem, don't come here. Other ambiance is fine
google avatar

Johnny H.

Yelp
Food and atmosphere were top notch. Especially for this area the prices and portions were very good.

Ally A.

Yelp
Rating 1 star not for taste of food - the food was actually fine. It probably would have tasted better if the service wasn't so insane. It took 30 minutes to take our order, another 30 minutes to get our drinks - they sent my husband the completely wrong cocktail but he didn't say anything for fear it would take another 30 minutes. First app comes after another 30, second app comes after another 30, and I swear we waited 45 for our main to the point where I asked if she forgot to put it in. The waitress was kind but the bar staff and everyone else was so off. Everyone was being passive aggressive to eachother- it made the atmosphere very very uncomfortable to be in. My skin was crawling to leave. Safe to say we will never be back.

Dana R.

Yelp
I was up here for vacation and after 3 days of bad food, was not sure anyone in the county knew how to cook. Someone suggested this place for seafood and boy was I happy to follow their suggestion! Delicious oysters, amazing bread and butter, free clam chowder (when they thought they were out of said bread and butter), and scallops cooked to perfection. Their cocktails looked wonderful but I stuck to their white wine, which I enjoyed. As a person traveling alone, it can get lonely, so I also appreciated the staff's willingness to chat with me about anything and everything. Finally, the restaurant is really very attractive. And that's coming from a Los Angeleno! If I'm ever in Humboldt again, I hope I have the opportunity to eat here, and will happily recommend this place to any other travelers.
google avatar

Yelp
Stumbled upon here while on a roadtrip. It was quaint and a nice little spot. The fish and chips were fantastic!

Yelp
Was seated near the bar, and the door to the establishment slams very loudly when people are coming and going. Food was expensive and fair at best. Will not return.

Yelp
Lacking GLUTEN FREE options It would be worth it to have one fryer for at least french fries so you could offer Something besides salad to people who do not have a choice. So come here only if you have no fences food, sensitivities or are concerned about quality of food do not bring friends here that have any sensitivities at all you will be extremely disappointed and they will be out casted by the service. It's kind of sad because the year 2024 and you think businesses would be happy to have gluten-free options since they usually tack on an extra four dollars Each that would pay for an additional. I'm certain the management won't even consider this option so good to know choose wisely. There's a lot of great places to eat in Arcata this is not on our top 10 for this reason alone. Go to Tomo's for better fish, better service and servers we are educated in the positions and can accommodate all your guests. Only 1.5 blocks away.
google avatar

Yelp
Very good sea food restaurant in Arcata. Tonight we had the oysters, octopus, cioppino, and ahi tuna poke bowl. All were delicious.

Linda H.

Yelp
When I was in town recently for work, I was eager to try Salt Fish House based on the great online reviews. Sadly, I was very disappointed. While the restaurant is nicely decorated and the service was decent, the one dish I ordered missed its mark. Cioppino is delicious tomato based fish stew infused with wine, garlic, clam juice and herbs. While Salt's Cioppino contains large prawns and decent white fish, the liquid tasted like a heavy tomato soup. Save yourself nearly 40 bucks and a lot of disappointment.

Selma C.

Yelp
We stopped here on our visit to the Redwood National Park and absolutely loved it! The host and servers were wonderful, and the food and drinks excellent.

Yelp
Came here for my birthday and left disappointed and annoyed. SALT was much better when it used to be down in the dungeon. The ambiance is pretentious but the food does not rise to the occasion. Cocktails were great and maybe that's all you go there for. Ordered the octopus and that was the best dish of all the things we ordered. However, lemon or lime was forgotten on the side and had to ask our server and then had to track down a host to finally get some limes. Octopus went cold by the time we got our hands on a wedge. Little gem caesar was chock full of breadcrumbs. Seemed like someone had accidentally spilled it all over the salad and decided to serve it anyway. We were literally eating breadcrumbs with a side of little gem. Hamachi crudo was okay. Not the best quality hamachi that night. Not much to to say only that it was okay. The special of fish tacos took the win for worst fish tacos I've ever had and by far worst dish that evening. A sad chunk of unseasoned cod with a few strings of cabbage and some sort of cantaloupe salsa. It was way too sweet and that's all it was. And now I know to not go back.
google avatar

Song H.

Yelp
Food - very good, flavorful and creative. Lots of different options. Cocktails - our second batch was very balanced, the first rum cocktail with a shrub was not. And plastic straws in 2022?! Our only complaints were with the service and the prices. We were all but forgotten all night. Had to wave down our waitress for more water, to order, to get a box, to get the check, just about everything. Now, I've been waitstaff, I get it, things get busy! But a little kindness and apology goes a long way, we got none of this and in fact got an attitude for asking for anything! I don't need that. Prices - we paid a fine dining price point without the fine dining. Al a carte potatoes for $9? Oy. The setting is lovely though and the place overall is really special. We just had a less than great dining experience.

Yelp
Just got back from taking a friend to dinner at SALT. As usual, everything was incredible. We had the Dungeness Crab starter...absolutely perfect. We both picked the special...Halibut. It took all of my restraint not to lick the plate (15/10!). Warm, attentive service by Katie P. This is my "go to" Humboldt County restaurant to take people to as it never fails to deliver. Tonight was no exception!
google avatar

Yelp
Stylish dining area, high end style food presentation. Concise menu, the sauce for steelhead is quite impressive.

Alfanso D.

Yelp
I really hate tearing down a local place but this has gone too far and there must be a reckoning. The Salt Fish House has achieved a new low. This spot has been on a decline for a while but sea food fraud is an unfortunate and sad turn. Tonight I was served a terrible version of "lobster" Mac and cheese featuring shrimp. In fact one was on top of the dish prominently displayed as if the ruse had not been communicated down the line. When I questioned the bar staff the bartender who forgot to make my drink so he could make a special cocktail for friends replied "I dunno maybe cross contamination".... So I'm to believe another dish was being prepped and this shrimp somehow flew upon my plate? Aside from the fraud and tactless comment it was just not good. This is not an isolated incident as far as bad food. A few months ago I tried the crab pasta. The dish had a tablespoon of "crab", a poorly made sauce, and pasta that ate like overcooked ramen. It's a pretty expensive dish to mess up. One of their most expensive. This evening I was also served an under seasoned Caesar salad with less than fresh lettuce as well as smoked salmon dip that was neither smoked nor a dip. It's unfortunate when you loose the trust of your dinners. That's what has occurred for this Humboldt local.

Jay F.

Yelp
Dined here with husband and daughter. The ambiance is nice and had the option to sit outside. Some of the food was really good and some was meh. The cioppino was really good as was the raw oysters. My daughter's scallops were tasty as well. My halibut was just okay. The risotto was pretty bland and it wasn't very warm. And they give you a lot of it. The other side was fried cauliflower and it too was not very warm and a little soggy. Service was okay. I would have liked to have ordered another drink but by the time they came to check on us, it was time to go
google avatar

Lexy P.

Yelp
Food and cocktails were delicious. We had to wait a little longer than we were hoping for, but our waitress continually checked on us and gave us updates.

Yelp
The place was nice and fairly busy when we arrived. We were greeted right away by our waiter and order the crab dip as an appetizer....never saw him again. Someone else brought our app out and we finished it before he finally showed back up and we placed our order. The entrees showed up pretty fast afte that. In a rush to get them to us after he could tell he messed up not taking our order. The steelhead trout definitely was way undercooked. Flavor was funky with the succatash and whipped mess they had under the fish. Not sure what it was but it was sweet. Weird weird flavor. The same can be said for the crab dip appetizer. What on earth did you do to the jalapenos. They tasted like lemon. The crab dip itself was good though. Finally, the ciopino was decent but odd flavor too. Ton of bread and very little Ciopino to it. Shrimp were so overcooked. There is not.a chance I would return. $100 wasted on a meal.

Yelp
First time visit and highly recommended by daughter's coworker. Open for dine in so we called to make reservations for 3 people around 5:30 for immediate seating. No reservations available till after 9pm but offered to come in for walk-in. We arrived to checkin for available walk-in but nothing was available at the moment but took our names for possible cancellation. We were contacted after an hour for a no show reservation. The menu choices were plentiful including several special of the days entrees. Emilee welcomed us and immediately & provided us w water and an extra bottle for refills. She is very friendly and excellent service. Also very attentive to our needs. Soda are by cans so no refills We started w several appetisers to share including kale & romaine ceasar salad, clam chowder, white wine steamed clams, grilled bread w anchovie butter, mac&cheese and dozen oysters (x6 Kumamoto oysters from Humbolt and x6 Fanny Bay oyster from WA) ...that was just the beginning! ALL was excellent and delicious but my favorite was the grilled bread w anchovie butter! We planned to order additional individual main entrees but was so full we ended up w just one to share! We decided w the special of day 14oz steak just to try; it was cooked medium to juiciness perfection. There were so many other entrees that looked good seeing what other customers were trying especially the cheese burger, fish and chips and shrimp mole. A perfect excuse to definitely come back! They only had one dessert to offer which we passed up. Otherwise a perfect unforgettable dining experience w the family. Decor is industrial w exposed steel construction blended w unique selection of wallpapers. Light fixture were creative and playful. Artwork in hallway leading to restrooms are for sale so make sure to take a look. Future outdoor seating under construction and looking forward to come back when all completed.
