Being at Salt was one of the best experiences I ever had. The waiters were really nice and polite and passionate about food explaining it. The food was in perfect portions and absolutely delicious!!! The combination of wine with fish, meat or vegetables was right on spot. Had an amazing experience and would not hesitate to comeback if I am back in Copenhagen. A well deserved restaurant for having a Michelin star.

After much research I selected this place for my last dinner in Copenhagen before heading back home. Let’s start w the good. Location, decor, setting and service was outstanding. High scale, quiet and a warm touch due to the solid wood beams and table cloths. Now the food was ok. The appetizers, the sourdough bread came cold, and after spending here 10 days and enjoying wonderful warm sourdough and a whole variety of bread all around town that were excellent, this was a bit disappointing. The same goes to the two appetizers, fried dough and croquettes with truffle were also cold. The main dish was much better. We went with a-la-cart. The Fettuccine Puttanesca was very good. Steak was ok. Dessert was acceptable.

Delicious food, excellent presentation, attentive staff and very good value for money taking into consideration Copenhagen prices. You will not be disappointes! Beware, portions are a bit small, so I recommend the 5 or 6 course menu, not the one with 4 courses.

We went there during Copenhagen dining week. Foods were amazing but above all the staff that took care of our table was extraordinary service. We had a good time and definitely visit again!

Google
Absolutely wonderful restaurant with modern Nordic food.😀 Very reasonable prices when you compare the quality to the cost. We had 6 courses and the house-wine, and it was all very tasty. 🔥🔥🔥 The service was professional yet relaxed, and the general atmosphere was warm and friendly. We are DEFINITELY coming back again another time. 👏

Good quality food and fantastic wines. Great dinner, especially combined with a visit to the Opera on the other side of the river. Transfer by ferry!

A very special place for my wife and I and our business(es). The first place we dined in our first business trip here in 2002-3. In May 2024, we had an exquisite meal, beautiful, delicate and delicious. Tonight, October, we are having our third dinner and again, luscious, beautiful, with pleasant service, relaxed tempo and satisfying. After weeks of work this was our celebration dinner for our progress in Denmark and Finland. I have no tolerance for those who complain about price for restaurants. If you cannot easily afford a restaurant there are always plenty of places to have good meals within your price range. Don’t waste our time and hurt restaurant reputations with such silliness. We spent over five times this cost at a 2-star Michelin and I personally enjoyed the taste of food here. 🙂

Loved the food, loved the cocktails and the ambiance. Location is unbeatable and staff is very friendly. Menú not too big but oh so good. Would go there time and time again.

Yelp
Really great food and service on a great location. We had the 5 course menu incl wine and everything was perfect. Highly recommended.

Yelp
This review is for the Salt Bar food- not the main restaurant. Probably the worse cheeseburger I've ever had- meat ok Condiments not. Mayo for the so- so fries which is the custom I guess. Indifferent, lackadaisical service. The icing on the cake... burger was $32 USD. Wouldn't be that much At a Four Seasons- and at least it would taste good

Yelp
Dropped in to use the restroom in the Admiralty Hotel and found this little gem. The place was completely empty, maybe because it's off the beaten path tucked inside a fancy hotel, or perhaps it was getting late for lunch (1:30pm). I was a little worried about the food quality but was tired from an earlier waking tour thus bit the bullet and stayed. I was delighted with my lunch. The open face sandwich set came quickly and it was delicious. Definitely a great spot to rest and grab a meal before or after visiting he Little Mermaid statue.

Yelp
I notice myself assigning 5 starts lately, I think it has something to do with visiting Copenhagen again, where food is just top notch. SALT was no exception. It was booked for a business dinner for a group of 6. Not having read the reviews, I had no expectations going in. Initially and after realizing that this was a hotel restaurant, I dreaded awful pre-fix dinner, but was pleasantly surprised from the very first bite. The atmosphere of the restaurant was spectacular. Very open space, exposed wooden beams, comfy couches, white table linens. Minimalist and very much in Scandinavian style. Every table had a beautiful arrangement of three little jars of various European salts and in inscription. I have always been a lover and an admirer of salts, so this was very pleasing to me in particular. We did have a pre-fix menu with a wine tasting to go along. I wish I wrote this review earlier, so I could describe the dishes as I now forget. But I can say with certainty that everything was amazing. Including the fresh bread and butter. Dessert was spectacular as well.

Yelp
Three and one half stars. I was staying at the Admiral in Copenhagen and decided to try Salt out of convenience more than anything else. Salt is pretty much your average run of the mill modern Scandinavian restaurant. Salt features a limited menu primarily featuring small plates that it is recommended you order 3-5 of to create your meal. Everything was well prepared and tasty. However, portion sizes are quite small and the prices are high. Interesting, would be the best word I can think of to describe Salt. Not bad all in all. But I probably wouldn't go back.

Yelp
If you're a fan of taste. Then you're gonna want to try this restaurant. The dishes are somewhat small but incredibly tasty. I had on one occasion halibut which was the best I have ever tasted. I must tell you I am a big fan of halibut! On another occasion I was in a hurry and I tried their hamburger... It was fresh (even the bun was fresh), it had great taste and it was presented very well! we have traveled many places across the world and eaten in all of them... But I must say the chef at SALT is one of our favorites. Keep pushing the boundaries!

Yelp
The bar and restaurant in the Admiral hotel are both very nice places to be at. The bar has very friendly staff but the drinks are kind off pricey. In the restaurant the food is delicious but some staff members weren't as nice as they should be. Anyhow, I really do recommend you checking out the restaurant or bar if your budget allows you to, you probably won't regret it! The sol meunière is great btw.

Yelp
Tourist trap & prices to match, but nice view of harbor & good to sit outside on those 1-2 days per year the weather is. Ok

Yelp
I loved the beef dish with sweetbread. The beef was cooked perfectly and the sauce tied the whole dish together. I am not a big sweetbread fan, so the portion of sweetbread was a bit much. The fish was cooked well. However the parsnip puree did not go well with the dish. However the green light sauce (whatever it is) was delicious. Dessert was a bit much for me. The alcohol in the chocolate mousse dish was a nice surprise, however I think it made it a bit too rich for someone who isn't particularly a chocoholic. The mousse was well made however. A pleasant restaurant to go to if you are staying at the Admiral hotel. I was much more impressed with the bar food! I guess I like simpler tastes. We tried the curry cream coconuty soup at the bar, as well as the hamburger. The soup was divine, rich and creamy, perfect for winter. So flavourful. We also tried the hamburger. The patty was loosely packed (just the way I like it), juicy and cooked medium rare, something most places cannot get right. I would definitely go back for the bar food! They also had a whole fish on the menu, which looked very impressive as we glanced over at the other tables.

Yelp
Three and a half, actually. Unbeatable located in Copenhagen's Admiral Hotel, overlooking the harbor front in a beautiful historical warehouse, Salt's specialty is (you guessed!) sea fare so fresh my whole party kept raving about it. In fact, there was no vegetarian dinning option on the menu, although the chefs were very creative and accommodating. I ended up enjoying a very satisfying multigrain, multivegetable dish with a name I can't recall, but deli anyways. The star of the night though, were the amazing appetizers: sweet, slightly pickled mushrooms I just couldn't get enough of. I've been here also for mid-afternoon drinks and dessert, seating outside, soaking in the sun and breathing in the cool sea breeze. It's a nice, quieter option than seating anywhere on Nyhavn.

Yelp
Great place. We sat outside on near the water. Couldn't ask for a better view. The food here is excellent. I had the beef tartare which I highly recommend. My wife had the burger. I can't think of one negative thing about the food. My only complaint would be the service. The waitress was very friendly just a tad slow. We were in a rush too so we might have been impatient. I highly recommend going here after eating at place in Nyhavn.

Yelp
The food was tasty, however, was overpriced for what you receive. Would not eat here again.

Yelp
Boyfriend and I were strolling along the water and working up an appetite. Hunger finally became too strong and we were in front of this place so we stopped. Atmosphere is a bit posh. OK, a lot posh, but the view of the water and the people watching is unbeatable. Menu is sort of a classic selection of items, with some strange things (chicken nuggets?). Boyfriend opted for the carbonara pasta and I went with the Atlantic shrimp. Overall we found the food just OK. For the price we were expecting a lot more. Boyfriends carbonara was pretty boring. He makes much better at home, but the pasta seemed fresh. My shrimp were underwhelming. They were peel-and-eat which makes a bit of mess and to be honest it is a bit unappealing to be served a bunch of female shrimp that are dripping with egg sacks. Yeah, that doesnt sound good, does it? So, they provide and extra bowl and water to help you peel the shrimp, but by the time you get the whole shell off you were left with this sort of small, sad tasteless thing and a pot of mayo to dip it in. Yes, it was as depressing as it sounds. In the end, go for the atmosphere and the view, but dont expect a lot from the food.

Yelp
Go fig everyone would want to sit outside since it was a nice, warm and breezy day. That's alright, my friends and I ended up getting the whole indoor restaurant to ourselves! Take that lady who hustled to the table since this one here was not aggressive enough to push her out of the way. Who needs vitamin D with your food anyway. Mussels, herring and crabcakes were the dishes orders. The herring was made three ways and paired perfectly with the rye bread. Get the mussels! It's a nice portion size and the soup at the end's not too salty so really good to dip bread or drink. I guess since it's called Salt, they had three selections of salt to put on top of the buttered bread or on your food. I love how restaurants in Europe don't try to kick you out after you've finished eating but since they were setting up for dinner, we moved our party to the bar. Desserts and beverages were ordered. Mine was this berries and cream dish. So simple yet so good.

Yelp
We went to Salt on the recommendation of Time Out. Initially we were worried because we hadn't appreciated it is a hotel restauant and when we arrived the maitre d was on a personal call and just left us standing at the door feeling awkward. Luckily a waiter came along and got us seated. We opted for the three course set menu. I was a bit nervous about what to expect from Scandanavian food but each course was delicious. The service was very friendly and helpful. Copenhagen is expensive and Salt is probably above average in terms of price but definitely worth it.

Yelp
Stayed at the Admiral Hotel and decided to eat in the restaurant downstairs. Ordered the prix fix menu with the wine pairing. All the food was beautifully prepared and presented and delicious too. Staff was friendly. Overall it was an exceptional experience. I highly recommend the restaurant.

Yelp
My wife and I, fresh from our flight and hungry came here for Christmas Day dinner. We had a later reservation but walked in an hour early and were immediately seated. The service and view were especially exceptional. Needless to say the food, all of it, was amazing. Each course explained exactly, and each bite better than the last.

Yelp
Limited selection but the food is quite good. Especially the burger, which is very surprising for a hotel restaurant. Service is not fast though and have to constantly remind waiters on refills or if you need anything else.

Yelp
Total tourist trip. Had a burger which was totally fine but as I would have in the U.S. The view is great. The service is abysmal - after waiting for 20 minutes we had to go get someone who said he would get someone. And even then it took another 20 minutes (total of 40 minutes) before someone came to ask if we'd like to order something. Food is very American. Total tourist trap. The 2 stars is because the view is great.
