Had an incredible time at SALT in Kalk Bay! The vibe is relaxed yet stylish, with stunning views that make it the perfect spot to unwind. The food was absolutely delicious – fresh, beautifully presented, and full of flavor. The service was friendly and attentive without ever feeling rushed, which made the whole experience even better. Whether you’re there for a meal or just a few drinks, SALT is definitely a must-visit in Kalk Bay.

I love seaside understated. Food good, coffee good, service good, not imposing we were here for a long reunion catch up, wine good. Will always be back!

It's a pretty good spot but I think I only enjoyed half of the small plates we ordered, and we got around 6 or 7. Not really an issue of quality but the flavours weren't hitting for me.

Absolutely unreal restaurant ! Amazing views of the bay and such friendly staff, the food menu is very London small plates but in the best way! We had a lovely meal, the pork was fabulous as was the fish and the crispy chicken bao bun was the best I’ve ever had!

Had the most amazing food for lunch. I’m not a very adventurous seafood eater, but braved the ceviche and calamari salad and am so glad I did! Had no idea this place was so good. Service was fantastic too! Will definitely be back 🙂

We arrived at the front door of this restaurant, and there was nobody to greet us. We waited around, still nobody. We went to find a staff member in the back, and ended up having to show ourselves to a table anyway. This is a beautiful restaurant with a lovely relaxed atmosphere. Unfortunately, The staff are a huge letdown. It feels like a group of teenagers running a restaurant for their friends as a school project. Slow and unprofessional service throughout. We ordered the Asian style chicken strips with spicy rice, and the chalmar burger. Both dishes were very disappointing. In particular, there was nothing at all Asian about the chicken strips. The sauce was completely bland and tasteless. The spicy rice had no spice whatsoever and was slightly burnt. This dish was a complete fail. The burger was average, patty overcooked though. The potatoes served with the burger were very tasty. No ketchup available. Overall, a very disappointing experience. Kalk Bay has a huge number of other restaurants and eateries, I wouldn’t come here again.

Lekker is an absolute gem of a coffee shop, and a perfect place to get some work done. The location is fantastic; even with Main Road in front, the view of the boats in the harbor behind the shop is simply stunning. It was an amazing backdrop for a few hours of work. I had a great lunch, and the cappuccino was excellent, made with delicious oat milk since they didn't have almond milk. The best part? The price. Two cappuccinos and lunch for a few hours of work with a view came to under R200, which is an incredible bargain. I'll definitely be back.

So busy at 7 (I arranged to call back at 8) and lo and behold we had a table. Super swift, friendly and knowledgable service. Line Fish was ace! Wine was fab! No wonder it’s the No.1 place in Kalk Bay. Make the effort and queue if you have to. I will be returning for the Lamb Ravioli as everyone seems to be ordering it. Thanks for a great meal.
